Earth 3 is the third known universe within the marvel mutltiverse. A world ruled by magic, where science and other such developments never truly got off the ground, magitech runs rampant and the most powerful mages converge.

The history of the planet began it's divergence when the Dragons, the oldest know sentience beings on Earth beyond the Gods, did not go extinct, but rather dwindled to very few in number. Of these, a dragon simply know as Dracogenius attracted to him a slurry of humans and began to embark on a never ending quest for ultimate knowledge and omniescence. The dwarves followed them, and great works were afoot.
By the time the humans reached Europe, they formed a strong alliance with the elves to keep them in check. These humans and elves, together with the dryads and other such spirits of nature, formed powerful protectors of nature, as the citadels grew instead of falling. Ruled by a council of elves that would ascend into a hivemind that commands all bellow it
Elsewhere, in the pantheon of the Heavenly Host, the angel Akroma fell to her zealous tendencies and began a crusade against all demons on Earth. For defying her Father, she was cast out, but her power remained strong due to her unshaken resolve, the Heavenly Fire not dimming in the slightest, and rather taking the role of her major source of power rather than the Host itself. She attracted to her various faithful and formed an army.
As Akroma garnered support, the demons of Hell became restless. Under the leadership of a powerful balrog Dreadus, several of them ascended to the surface world and began a campaign of subjugation and endless orgies of pain and pleasure.
Meanwhile, in the libraries of Alexandria, the Sphinxes watched with interest as chaos slowly seeped into the world. They set out to create an order of mages capable of enforcing law throw any means. Chief amongst them was the Sphinx Tyanida.
There were others, as well, who chose to follow the cyclops and other brutal beasts into the wilds, worried only on the next hunt and the next kill. Grogonom lead these clans towards their next conflict and pillage
The stage was set

These 5 factions would begin various skirmishes. But they were not the only ones formed
A powerful mage Nimue found the Chton's book of black magic, and using it, created what is known as necromancy. Aligning with the Gorgon' Medusa, she captured various elves and twisted them into her personal army, and then raised the dead to create an army. The influence of elven magic changed the nature of necromancy into one of duality, life and death in an endless cycle.
As history advanced and these factions built more and more glorious works, the world diverged more and more from what we know. Of course, certain things remained the same. Christianity is still existent, perhaps moreso due to the knowledge Akroma imparted. Of course, just as faith exists, there are those who manipulate it to their ends. A Church was created around manipulation of the soul, creating soul debts as ways to acquire currency. These mages garnered more and more influence and power, either monetary or just on the souls of those in debt to them. Those at the top of the churches hierarchy made themselves ghosts, and created a council to rule beyond death
As the factions grew in number and became more complex, things like espionage and assassination became key in the conflicts. And in that void a house emerged to claim stakes. Created by various creatures of the night such as vampires and specters, if you wanted something in the underworld, they were your brokers
Meanwhile, a single elf, united with a human of the Dracongenius faction, was intent on protecting wildlife and healing the planet of the constant wars. Unfortunately, her vision was distorted with time.

And so these 10 factions evolved as the nature of the mystical technology on the world allowed the perfect coexistence of society and nature, creating a planet wide city where architecture melds with nature. Lakes are artificial and yet natural, forests grow between massive cathedrals and the towers of massive buildings stretch into the skies

However, war between factions threatened to destroy the world. So a pact was created, mystical in nature. It made it so no faction could clearly gain dominance over the others. Drafted by Tyanida, and signed by the 10 paruns of each guild. With their roles clearly established and conflicted ended, each faction set out to carve their own sphere of influence. Each have mastered a particular magecraft to it's extreme and even a simple guildmage wields mystical energy that Earth 616 is not used to on such larger scale.

The 10 associations, Senate of Spires, evolved from the library of Alexandria and ruled by the Sphinxes, the Church of Geists, which its center in the Vatican and ruled by the Ghost Council, House of Shadows, true based unknown, and ruled by Vlad III himself, The Draconium Engines, with their center in the Russian territory and ruled by the last known dragon of the original ones, Cult of Demonkind, ruled by the fire demon Dreadus and operating from the North American West, Order of Phylactery, with their base on Athens and ruled by the Gorgon Medusa, The Groog Clans, with no permanent home, roaming the edges of the city as they ever dwindle, Legion of the Angelicaum, with their true base high above the world in a giant enochian powered ship, ruled by the fire angel Akroma, the Nature Conclave, operating from northern Europe with the elves as the leaders and the Worldmind controlling the elves and the Biomagi Combine, with their base in Asia and ruled by the mad biomancer elf Simirech.

However, the 10 associations are not the only powers on this world. Amongst its citizens lurks a dragon, one of our own plane, the 1st Sorcerer. This powerful ancient entity governs a multiverse spanning organizations and makes Earth-3 it's home. And he's taken an interest in our world, his home universe, once more due to the developments involve the Outer Gods

The Senate of Spires, where much work is done to make sure nothing is accomplished

Equipment: They have access to the single largest compendium of knowledge in the entire world, and thus the entire universe. The Library of Alexandria is in this world a gigantic complex of maze like buildings that is more akin to a city than a single library, with the original structure at it's center of prohibited access to anyone but the sphinxes. There the most powerful magecrafts are compiled
All of the mages are experts in law magecraft, a subtle form of telepathy and mind control that allows them to appease and constrain human revolt. The closer to Alexandria, the more powerful the influence of a law spell
Goal(s): To ensure the followed of the law by all the citizens of Earth. To maintain order through legality, the Senate is a bureaucratic organization that manipulates the proper procedure to their advantage and to the detriment of all those they dislike.

Parun:
Tyanida, the Great Sphinx of the Gize. The oldest and most knowledgeable of her kind, she drafted the original pact between the 10 factions and created the order of the current world. She has long since passed away, but her kind still rules the Senate with a bureaucratic fist

The current leader is Ires, a Sphinx of aloof nature and disinterest in the day to day running of the senate. She allows the human magistrates to dictate and impose the laws, but without the Sphinxes active support, this is a rather...troublesome task. Despite her lack of interest she has a deep morals and does not tolerate unruly conduct within her city

History:
The Senate of Spires was formed out of a colaboration between the old pharisees of Egypt and the Sphinxes that roamed the library of Alexandria. They allowed the Sphinxes to take active control in enforcing law upon the common citizens. As the sphere of influence grew into other territories held by other factions war began to break out. The Sphinx Tyanida saw this as counter productive and held a meeting with all the masters of each faction. She drafted the magical contract, and each person present signed out of fear of what an all out war could cost the planet. The Senate's role in this contract was creating the law and being, in essence, the judicial system of the world
With the conflict resolved, Tyanida set out to create a utopia around Egypt and northern Africa. However, she waned and died before she could encompass all of the continent under her peaceful rule. As the years passed, the Sphinxes became bored until they all but retired from running the Senate, ensuring that it lost it's influence with the other factions beginning to largely ignoring their dictates. These days, it's largely nothing more than an amalgam of annoying bureaucrats attempting to make their voices heard, falling on the deaf ears of the rest of the factions. They still hold power, and if the Sphinx Ires ever takes interest again, the law mages may come running down on the world

And to that end they are willing to do whatever it takes. They however, have a deep respect for each other and those that belong to the Church, considering them all family. They make their voices heard through a sion, the most recent one being the raven haired Siria Freyanheart

An army of geists, fallen angel enforcers, various bishops and priests

History:
The Church of Geists was originally the catholic church. However, as the magical nature of the factions began to overpower them, many of the faithful turning to paganism, the archbishops of Rome saw their power waning. Desiring more and more power, they made themselves into the Ghost Council and began threading into soul deals. They slowly, through a mix of faith and well placed business deals regained enough power to take control of what was once Italy. After that, they began to employ mafia like methods and slowly had total control of almost all of the trading business within the planet
If you can name a company of any kind, most likely the Church has a stock in it.

Centuries past, and the Ghost Council began to appoint a scion to serve as their representative so they themselves could remain in the shadows. All those faithful to the Church have their souls promised to them, and all those in their debt will serve them beyond their lives

There is very little know about the leader of the House of Shadows. What is know is that he's their parun, he's immortal, and he has an agenda. Some say he is Vlad III himself, Dracula.

Membership of the House is very selective. But if you know an assassin on this planet, chances are he's a member.

History:
The history of the House of Shadows is wrapped in deceit, murder and manipulation. It is rumored they were formed in Romania, by Vlad the III. However, at the time of the signing of the pact between the guilds, it was not him that was present, but a mysterious cloaked figure. No one present could discern who he was, if he was an envoy of Vlad, if he had usurped the control from the vampire lord. Regardless of what the situation was, this strange man was made the parun of the House of Shadows.

At the meeting, he made a single demand. The existence of the House of Shadows was to remain undisclosed, at least officially. They could not be exposed. And in return, they would work from the shadows and perform whatever task could not be carried out officially. Most of the paruns agreed to his terms, and so it is that officially, the House of Shadows doesn't exist. And any that discover its existence soon forget about it. Only the 10 paruns know of this deal, and about half of them are by now dead. If this was the plan of the mysterious man, to outlive the knowledge of the existence of the House of Shadows, it isn't known

Equipment: The Dracognium engines make use of the most advanced technology combined with the most potent fire magic. All of their works are powered by magic, and they create feats of engineering beyond anything possible on the magecraft filled lands of Earth-3. They are the scientists. However they also specialize in information storage and manipulation.
Goal(s): The entire guild exists for one reason. To learn. To boldly discover. To experiment, to continuously find new and better ways to harness the magitech engines created by their dragon parun

The last know dragon of the old world, he simply calls himself the Dracogenius. A wizard of untouchable power, possessing untold knowledge, and a pride and ego like no other. He manipulates his entire guild using what he calls the "Firemind", a sort of powerful force that emerges from within his own being. It his theorized his very existence holds the entire magitech present on Earth-3 together. He has his scientists work towards goals only he truly understands, and treats every experiment in his guild as a step closer towards his final goal...omniescence.

History:
Long ago, the dragon kind ruled the entire world. These powerful beasts slowly went extinct in their old wars, until only a handful was left. Of these few, one particular dragon well versed in dragon magic decided he wanted to know everything. He would attain ultimate knowledge by glorious, grand and if necessary explosive means. Dragons lack names as other species, so he dubbed himself Dracogenius in the tongue of men, and began to gather allies. The dwarves and goblins, tinkerers and engineers, instantly saw in him a brilliant inventive mind with no limitations, and both races followed him. Others, seeking the same, thus allied themselves to him. He gathered the brightest of them and dubbed them his Draco Order. He instilled within him a piece of his mind, a "Firemind", that would allow him to give them knowledge directly as they needed it. These brilliant minds then imparted a bit of the Firemind to the remaining Engine.

Upon the signing of the guildpact, the dragon wizard was given a simple job, to make sure progress was reached for the cities of the world. And they got everything they asked. Working tirelessly, the Engine built bigger and better works of engineering. Magitech became common place, everything harnessing mystical energies to work. Cities grew and grew, brilliant inventions you would never see in our world became possible, and the Firemind grew in power as more and more knowledge and discover was found through these engineering feats
Beyond their work, the members of the Engine love to push the boundaries of science. They created their unique brand of elementals called the weirds, they regularly cause disasters of fire and storms. On occasion they have destroyed entire city blocks with spacial distortions
There is no limit to the Engine, and the ultimate goal is omniescence.

Equipment: The Cult is the best at what they do, torture and raising chaos. They don't usually carry anything but the tools used for these two things. They're master of fire magic and hell summoning, most of their members being demonic in nature and using the magecraft associated with that kind

Dreadus, a balrog of the 9 Circles of Hell, is a powerful fire demon with a taste of destruction and mayhem. Due to the fact balrogs cannot persist for too long outside of Hell, Dreadus has constructed a mystical lava pit bellow Las Vegas in his personal castle, where he hibernates to recover strength. Whenever he's awake, the Cult throws massive orgies of pain and pleasure throughout the entire North American continent, and whenever he's asleep the various factions within the cult bide for control and dominance. And then he awakes again and the cycle renews itself

History:
When Akroma was first cast out and began making her mark on Earth, Dreadus, the most powerful balrog of Lucifer, decide he could not stand for angelic influence on the mortal world to grow to such extent. Ignoring the Prince of Hell's direct orders he ascend to Earth with a group of followers and began to carve out a massive empire stretching across the entire western North American continent, in what would soon be Nevada and California. His influence grew, and the Angelicaum and the Senate attempt to control him, binding him to the guildpact with a simple job: supplying grunt work to the planet and raising hell every so often to keep the various lower ecleons of the two law enforcers busy. This last fact is not disclosed to the general public of course

Dreadus naturally doesn't seem to care. So long as he has humans to corrupt and lead down the path of sin, and as long as he can throw his mad celebrations of destruction, he's content to play into the others hands. And unfortunate be the day when he decides he wants the entire world in chaos

Goal(s): To seize control of all of Earth through slow influence. Life and death is a continuous cycle, and growth, and thus power, is their ultimate goal, however slow and ruthless it may come.

Nimue, the Matka. Originally the Lady of the Lake in Arthurian mythology, she discovered the hidden tome of Chthon, which then lead her to the necronomicon. Mastering the dark magics of both, she became a goddess of necromancy and aligning herself with the Gorgons seized power in ancient Greece, banishing the gods of Olympus and capturing various elves for usage in her dark experiments, twisting them into servants. However, she was betrayed by the Gorgons, Medusa in particular, and imprisoned deep within the Athenian under city. She did not die, for her mastery of necromancy had taken her far beyond death at that point

Medusa Gorgon, the legendary monster of Greek mythology. Under the direction of the Witch Goddesses Hecate and Baba Yaga, she lured Nimue into an alliance in order to harness the black magecraft she had attained. However, once they had together form the Order of the Phylactery, she usurped control and imprisoned her.

History:
Long ago, Nimue the Lady of the Lake discovered the ancient tome of black magic written by the Elder God Chthon. Lured in by it's power, she used it to find the other major tome of black magic, the necronomicon. Using them both she fled her original home and began to travel across Europe, which at the time was seeing the birth of the Conclave and the Draconium Engine. Along the way she seduced various elves to her side and merged their magics with hers, creating a powerful discipline of necromancy that drew it's power from both life and death as a cycle. One cannot understand life without understanding death, and vice versa. Nimue and her elves slowly began to amass an army of undead, and the life magecraft of the elves turned their entire guild into more of a single living entity, with each individual serving a purpose around Nimue, the center mind, slowly growing across Europe
The Goddess Witch Hecate and Baba Yaga of the slavic countries saw in her a chance to usurp the southern Europe lands from Olympus. They sent out Medusa and the other Gorgons, and an alliance was formed. The Gorgon's turned Nimue's swarm towards Greece, and the Gods were defeated and driven back as humans were turned into undead and elves were taken into the swarm. Plant life corrupted into fungi.

At the time of the signing of the guildpact, they had become a real threat. So at the signing they were given a job. They would act as civilizations trash system, disposing of the carcases of civilization and utilizing them for their own ends. Nimue saw this fit. To her, all of the planet would eventually become part of the swarm. She could wait for the slow growth of her guild to absolute power.
However, Medusa saw this time to strike. Soon after the signing, she betrayed Nimue and imprisoned her, utilizing her necromantic energies to continually power the swarm, and her and her Gorgon sisters became the rulers.
As a result of the necromancy practiced by the swarm, they are the biggest guild on Earth in sheer numbers

Equipment: The Groog make due with whatever weapon they can find. They're shamans and masters of natural magecraft, able to turn nature itself on their enemies. Of course, with so little nature left, this doesn't help them much
Goal(s): The destruction of all civilization

Grogonom, the Cyclops. An honorable and powerful warrior, his fists could move mountains and his hammer could level entire forests, or so the Clans sing about him. He was the one that agreed to bring the Clans into the guildpact, uniting them in the common goal of preserving the wild freedom they so desired. However, as the Draconium Engine took them from the east, the Swarm of Phylactery from the south, they slowly waned and eventually civilization overtook their once wild lands. Grogonom died in battle against an invasion of the Swarm, and his body was taken. With his death, the clans dispersed

The Bloodbraid, that is what they call her. An elf, she emerged from the volcanic and ravaged lands of the north with a single message. "The Groog Clans will unite. The age of blood will come to Earth". And with that she began a unification mission of the Clans. She is ruthless, savage and destructive. She wields fire magic and destroys all in her path. Uniting already dozens of splintered factions into a single clan in her name, she now moves to conquer the last major opposition, the Clan of the Burning Trees that belongs to the descends of Grogonom himself. Should she succeed, the unification will be all but complete

Giants, cyclops and centaurs all congregate in various Clans. The biggest one is the Burning Trees, followed by the Forgotten Ones

History:
Originally, the Clans were brought together by Grogonom, who took the giants and cyclops of ancient Greece towards more hospitable lands in the North. There he forged his own land, and the various members of each race, along with humans in the area, formed Clans that all pledged allegiance to their parun. Despite his brutal nature, Grogonom saw the threat of civilization, and thus agreed when he was summoned to sign the Guildpact with the condition he would remain the protector of the wild lands of the world

However, not everything goes as planned. Civilization still overtook their lands, and all of the others, the Clans began to war and finally, he was murdered protecting his territory from a Swarm incursion. His son could not pick up the pieces and the Barbarians completely split and began never end conflict while at the same time being slowly eaten away by the ever growing cities. The Biomagis of the Combine took over preserving nature (albeit in their own twisted fashion by then) while the Conclave began to use it as a worshiping tool. Equipment: The Legion makes usage of holy weapons and artifacts collected by Akroma. Their mages use Akroma has a source of power, the Heavenly Fire being wielded through a special brand of enochian magecraft called the Teachings of the Holy Fire

Akroma, the Angel of Fury. 4th born of the Archangels, Akroma was always extremely zealous. Her connection with the Heavenly Fire making her unpredictable and rash. Unable to temper her emotions, she began a massive crusade on Earth and wiped out a good portion of those she considered "sinful". As a result, she was cast out along with her legions of angels. Unlike her brother Lucifer however, the Heavenly Fire did not corrupt inside her. She remained pure of heart in her mind, and the Fire shaped itself and became the source of her power, and the source of power of all who follow her.

History:
After Lucifer's fall, and the creation of the twin sisters of Vengeance and Wrath, the Heavenly Host began its period of peace and prosperity. However, not all was right. Akroma's fire burned brighter than it should edged on by Earth's slow descent into chaos due to the influence of the elves and the Dracogenius. Stirred by the sight of the heretics, she lead a great crusade with a host of angels and laid waste to any heretic she found. This active declaration of war caused her Father to cast her from heaven along with her Host. However, she did not fall completely. In her mind and soul her motives were pure, and the Heavenly Fire resonated with her, giving her a new source of power and a new purpose: the purification of the entire planet in a wave of fiery justice.
She took her angels and laid claim to Jerusalem, forcing out any religion but Christianity. She took in warriors and lost souls from the fallen church of the Vatican and created an army. And finally, she taught them a brand of enochian magic created by herself that harnessed the fire within her. And thus she had an army. Her crusades were devastating, destroying many of the Draconium Engines works, many of the Swarm of Phylactery's cities, and many of the Combine's bioweirds. Finally, upon the signing of the guildpact, she was given a simple job. To enforce justice on the world.

With this in mind, Akroma for the first time asked for help, from the Dracogenius. In return for a truce in her crusade she was given a might magitech flying fortress, made to be powered by her inner fires, and with it, she and her host of angels fly out to the various corners of the world, in a never ending fight for justice.
Meanwhile, she left the human portion of her army the job of protecting the citizens of the city world.

Equipment: The mages of the Conclave, like the Groog clans, use nature magecraft. Theirs is runic and descends directly from that of the elves.
Goal(s): The preservation of life and worship of nature. All will join the Conclave in their worship of life, and individuality will be silenced

Paruns:
The original leaders of the guild were the High Casters of the elven cities, who together weaved a spell that created a massive hive mind. All those that join the conclave are brought into this hivemind. One could say that the paruns of the Conclave are still alive, and make their voices heard by the current leaders. However their conscious resides deep within the hivemind and cannot be reached by any except the dryad sisters. In essence, the leaders are both the hivemind, and reside in its deepest parts

The current leader is Trostani, a merged consciousness of three dryads. The sisters did this so as to be able to serve as true leader's voice. Their psychic power is the only thing that can breach the layers of the hivemind and receive the word of the original High Casters that created the Conclave

The Conclave is home to elves that have submitted to the hivemind, dryads, centaurs and various other fae folk. They make usage of the Ledev, the Knights of the Road. Original protectors of nature, they were brought into the Conclave and became their fighting force, one of Earth's finest

History:
When humans first reached the European continent, due to the persistent existence of the dragon wars, they were forced to ally with the elves, centaurs, and other species of northern europe. Although many found home elsewhere, this merge made it so the elves thrived instead of waned, marking this as the major turning point in the history of the Earth in this universe. However, other dangers were afoot, and seeing their nature communes threatened the High Casters of the elves performed a massive ritualistic spell that brought all those bellow them into a single hivemind. With this act, the Conclave became one. And slowly, they expanded. From their small territories in the british isles into franco territory, and slowly south. All were brought into the Conclave, all were made to worship life, as city and nature grew in tandem.

The Conclave, despite it's worship of life, in massive hypocrisy forcefully began to induct those that didn't wish. Upon the signing of the guildpact the Conclave was given the job of protecting the natural word along with the Groog Clans and the Biomagi Combine. However their idea of protect meant that all would join the Conclave, all individuality would be silenced, and life would be worshiped. To this end they began to employ their Knights of the Road, their wurm forces, and other such armies. Indeed the Conclave is power, probably the most powerful. And once they attained a guiding voice, they also became focused

The parun of the guild was an elven girl who's name is unknown. She willingly broke off from the hivemind when she realized the crushing of individuality could not improve upon life in the world. Working together with a human, she created what is know today as biomancy, a form of magecraft that can be used to manipulate life to heal it and keep it safe. She died after signing the guildpact, and establishing the Combine as the doctors of the Earth

The current leader, the mad biomancer Simirech, has "expanded" upon the young elf's original goal. He intends on improving all of the world, compleating it, making all life forms more powerful and more capable of survival, accelerating the evolution of all life. To this end, he's using biomancy to create powerful bioweapons as well as creating Cytografts, grafts that can instantly transmit into a life form knowledge or skills they do not possess.

Elves and humans make up the majority of the guild, making use of drakes for transportation.

History:
One day, within the hivemind of the Conclave, a single elf girl was caught in a skirmish between the Knights of the Road and a Dracomage. The mage blew apart several of them before finally collapsing. As she approached him, ready to welcome him into the loving embrace of the Conclave, something sparked within her. Even if she did so, this man would not live. She could not save him by merely merging his consciousness. In fact, she would ensure he die a shell of what he is. This realization, this spark of individuality instantly flung her consciousness out of the hivemind. The one time this has ever occurred. Her mind was left shattered, but capable. She cured the mage as best she could and escaped into what was neutral territory at the time.
Eventually, both of them recovered. The girl never truly regained all her mental faculties, but was left with a brilliant mind towards nature magic. With the help of the ever inventive and ever curious dracomage, and his access to the Firemind, she mastered a discipline the both of them dubbed biomancy. Medicine in magic form.

Gathering to her elves that had yet to taken sides in the evolving factions, as well has humans, the two biomances fled towards an area that was still largely free of influence of the various guilds. There they formed the home of their group, and they set out to preserve all life. Upon the signing of the guildpact, the young girl's group was given its job, to act as the doctor's of the world. She thus trained the great Biomagi Combine.
In this world, a biomancer is strictly speaking a doctor.

Upon her death, the Combine moved forward with its job. Until recently. The current leader Simirech is obsessed with improving what he perceives as "weak" in all life. He has began taking biomancy towards it's next step, manipulation of live to create weapons and improve basic templates into super soldiers. To this end, he has created what he calls cytografts, biomass that can carry genetic information and transmit it as necessary. For example giving the strength of a giant to a human
