Expert Martial Artist: Tyler has received a very extensive and brutal training session by SHIELD in his preparation to become Captain America. He has show capable of fighting off numerous opponents without much effort, and even stand up to aliens and demons much stronger than humans.

Expert Acrobat: Tyler was given an extensive training program in acrobatics on his insistence, to better mimic Steve Rogers, and it has made him an expert in of acrobatics and gymnastics as well as a stunning aerialist.

Master Shield Fighter: Part of his training as Cap, he was trained in several fighting styles that make use of shields as offensive weapons. While not as capable as Steve Rogers in using the shield as a throwing weapon, Tyler studies trigonometry every chance he gets to perfect his throws.

Expert Tactician and Strategist: Tyler is an accomplished strategist due to hours of studying military doctrine from across history. Years of military service and perhaps just as importantly, his uncanny imagination, allows him to come up with strategies and plans that fit into most situation, and greatly and effectively utilize the resources under his possession.

Indomitable Will: Tyler, perhaps due to his undying loyalty to the costume and shield he carries, has great willpower and refuses to surrender before his enemies and adversity.

Expert Marksman: He can throw most projectile weaponry with great aim and was well-versed in the use of firearms, though he prefers his shield in keeping with the spirit of the uniform.

Weapons Proficiency: He does not typically utilize weapons other than his shield, but he is trained in usage of daggers, swords, as well as heavy payload weaponry like RPGs, and of course guns and rifles.

Multi-lingual: He can speak Russian and English fluently. He also speaks rudimentary German and Mandarin.

Expert Pilot: He's a phenomenal pilot and is versed in many military vehicles, such as tanks, helicopters and even the high tech vertical takeoff dropships

Weapons:

-Utility Belt: Cap had often worn a utility belt containing mission-specific equipment, such a small plastic explosives, wire cutters, EMP generators, and first aid essentials.

-Captain America's Shield: His primary, and usually only weapon. A concave disk about 2.5 feet in diameter, weighing 12 pounds, it was made of a unique Vibranium-Steel alloy that had never been duplicated. The Shield was cast by American metallurgist Dr. Myron MacLain, who was contracted by the U.S. government to create an impenetrable substance to use for tanks during World War II. During his experiments, MacLain combined vibranium with a steel alloy he was working with and an unknown catalyst, creating the disc-shaped shield. MacLain was never able to duplicate the process due to his inability to identify the still-unknown catalyst. The shield was issued to Captain America by the government several months after the beginning of his career. It has since been with all incarnations of the great hero, from Steve Rogers down to Tyler. The shield had great aerodynamic properties: it is able to slice through the air with minimal wind resistance and deflection of path. Its great overall resilience, combined with its natural concentric stiffness, enables it to rebound from objects with minimal loss of angular momentum. It is virtually indestructible: it was resistant to penetration, temperature extremes, and the entire electromagnetic spectrum of radiation. The only way it could be damaged in any way would be by tampering with its molecular bonding. It used to be mockingly said that if the Earth were to explode, three things would survive. Wolverine's skeleton, Captain's shield and Thor's hammer. It was destroyed during Fear Itself, but rebuilt in the forges of Asgard using uru metal.

Powers:
Artificially Enhanced Physiology: Tyler has no superhuman powers, although as a result of the Super-Soldier serum, he was transformed from a normal young man into a "perfect" specimen of human development and conditioning. He is as intelligent, strong, fast, agile, and durable as it was possible for a human being to be without being considered superhuman.

-Peak Human Strength: His physical strength is enhanced to the very peak of human potential. Captain America has been seen bench pressing 500 kg (1,100 lbs) with great strength, with his range in around the 800 lbs

-Peak Human Speed: He can run at speeds of up to approximately 30 miles per hour

-Peak Human Stamina: His body eliminates the excessive build-up of fatigue-producing poisons in his muscles, granting him exceptional endurance. He can exert himself at peak capacity for several hours without rest before showing any signs of fatigue.

-Peak Human Agility: Tyler's agility is superior to that of typical Olympic athletes.

-Peak Human Reflexes: Tyler's reflexes are superior to that of typical Olympic athletes. Like most of his powers, his reflexes bordered on superhuman levels as he has dodged bullet fire at point blank range

-Peak Human Durability: Tyler's ability to withstand injury is superior to those of ordinary humans.

-Peak Human Metabolism: His enhanced metabolism, bloodstream, and immune system allows him to heal from injuries or diseases faster than most humans. Tyler has complained that getting drunk is now next to impossible, and that "I kind of miss my trips to the hospital"

-Peak Human Mental Process: Tyler's mental performance has been greatly enhanced, allowing his mind to operate in the most efficient and rapid manner possible. Perhaps a result of this is his tactical genius, and his great sense of trigonometry

-Peak Human Perception: He has exceptionally keen eyesight and hearing.

Bio:
Tyler grew up in Washington, reading up on the great heroes in comic books and wishing to one day defend people like that. Perhaps his greatest inspiration was Captain America.
When he turned 18, he enlisted and joined the army. His naturally shy demeanor prevented him from being successful, but anyone who personally interacted with him was left with the same impression: He was the bravest soldier they'd ever met.
When SHIELD was reformed, he caught the attention of Zane Fury, and was enlisted as a member. Again, remaining a simple soldier, he did what he had always done: he defend innocents and fought the good fight. During this time, he meet the new Captain America, and his admiration for the hero grew from simple boyhood wonder to actual respect.

When Marco died, Oliver (on suggestion from Aaron, the former director) made him the new Captain America. A dream he never thought he'd realize, he's quickly growing into the role, but lacks the leadership skill of his predecessors.
His first missions with SHIELD have had him butt heads with other heroes more than he'd like, but he showed his true skill when fighting an attempted sabotage by the HYDRA organization, completely halting them almost without any help from the Shadow League.

When SHIELD was absorbed into MRD, he stayed with MRD, but did his best to minimize any abuse by anyone under his command. He fought the Brood as they revealed themselves, and then rejoined SHIELD once it was reformed at the end of the entire debacle, becoming a senior member.

When HYDRA reemerged again, him and the Avengers ere captured and taken to Berlin. He was kept by himself and tortured by John Doe the Red Skull, but after staging a solo escape, he met up with Elsa, Natsu and Laxus, who were creating a distraction for Matt and Dale to evacuate Sammie. He then lead the three mages in a guerrilla battle throughout Berlin, culminating in a daring assault on the Reichstag to capture the Red Skull. There he found Elena in the process of killing Doe, but stopped her and offered her a ceasefire if he handed the Skull over so he could answer for his crimes.

After HYDRA's invasion, he came a permanent member of the reformed Avengers, and a ground commander of the SHIELD forces.
