Carrie Hill is a master necromancer. She has decided not to go so far in a way that would alter her self dramatically, so no turning into a Lich Queen yet.
As a magus she is self taught but also learned much from people she's met over the years. Carrie is a prodigy and has become more than proficient in elemental magic like Fire and Wind. Also she can create powerful and layered bounded fields to simulate small reality marbles in order to conceal her base.
Knowledge of the soul and how to manipulate it has been one of her most useful and dangerous skills. It has gotten her into trouble with a lot of people and has gotten her classified as a potential threat.
Weapons:
Staff of The Dragon- This long ebony staff with three dragon heads forming the top of it was a staff passed down from her master's family when she was a slave. As the child of her master and slave mother she was technically meant to inherit it.
Its power was meant for a pyromancer but its more than capable of adapting. It took nearly a century before she could truly learn how to wield it as a necromancer. She uses it to enhance her control of the undead. Sometimes she can command it to come alive turning it into three large serpents that will consume her enemies or turn them into walking corpses.
Powers:
Rapid Cellular Regeneration- Powerful enough to make Carrie quite durable. She's able to survive most injuries except for massive trauma to the brain or destruction of most of her body. It even slows down the aging process.
Necromancy- The user's magical abilities revolve around manipulating the dead, death, the life-force and/or souls for good , evil or neither. Users can also use communicate with the deceased – either by summoning their spirit as an apparition or raising them bodily – for the purpose of divination, imparting the means to foretell future events or discover hidden knowledge.
Many practitioners find a way to cheat death one way or another, whether by becoming some form of undead creature or by bypassing their own ability to die. Carrie akin to a master when it comes to Necromancy.
Fire and Wind- While Carrie can't claim to be a pyromancer she's quite formidable when using it. She's capable of engulfing objects or living beings in flames. She also uses it for rituals and lighting her way through dark areas. With wind she uses it to enhance her fire abilities. Creating waves of fire and manipulating the flames as a shield.
Mind Manipulation- Carrie is able to manipulate the mind of many unguarded creatures through spells. The undead is especially vulnerable.
Limb Control- While Carrie isn't dead she can use abilities similar to zombies. If a limb was cut off she can easily control it or even use it as a weapon.

Bio:
Carrie's history brought her all over the world. She started off as a slave who's mother was thrown away like garbage. Carrie was destined to be a mother who would spawn more magi for the dying family she served. Their eventual undoing by rivals and her own freedom took her around America. She learned more of her family's magic while trying to stay unnoticed.
She moved from place to place learning about what she was and what she was capable of. A magical power lurked within her. The spells she learned and the crest given to her had the power over life and death. Tales of skeletons attacking plantation owners, zombies killing outlaws on the road and duels that ended with one blowing their own head off were common for decades. Carrie slowly became a necromancer the last of her line and she enjoyed it.
There were times she would spend a decade running around with a group of people fighting monsters with her own. Carrie enjoyed saving others with a lot of power and a lot of friends, but most of all she needed to stop before she was burned out. Eventually on occasion she tried to start a family. Meeting a man to settle down with was one thing, but starting a family the normal way was another. Carrie was a mutant and part of the reason she never aged was because of her ability mixed with magic. This made it almost impossible for her to ever get pregnant. The magic she used made her chances dim and it was even more difficult to find someone who was okay living with an immortal mutant.
Skip ahead and Carrie eventually found Alexander Hill. As a young man he was ambitious, energetic, and deeply caring. Of course, she could see his power hungry side but to her it was sort of comforting. She met many people and he was the easiest to deal with not to mention he actually did care for her even after learning what she was. The man was someone who respected and Carrie was powerful in his eyes. She never meant to actually start a family with him, but the impossible happened. Soon she was pregnant with two children Sarah and Tyrone. To her it was a blessing and she was willing to make the most of it.
However, in their blood were dormant magical circuits. Unless under extreme circumstances it was unlikely the could ever use magic. Carrie didn't care, but when she told Alexander it was something they argued over for years to come. This argument didn't stop her from enjoying what little time she could spend with her children at least until her disappearance. They didn't know where she went and her husband was unable to even get law enforcement agents to continue any of their investigations on her whereabouts. She did still keep tabs on them and make sure most of them were still alive.
