Heroes Uprising: Alternate Universe (Thread 3)

Tie mostly thought about when she should break most of the rules especially rule number two. "The earlier distraction was fine but I don't think we'd mind starting this soon." The room temperature began to increase as fire slowly engulfed parts of the hooded girl's body and began heating up the room with some barely contained rage. Tie amused seemed to point back at her as if the display proved her point.

"Look she even seems to agree."

There were still some unconscious on the ground making Roberta wonder if Spayde was already needed. While the fight was fun this level of mental manipulation seemed unnerving. She decided to ignore that for now and focused on the rules which seemed to hamper someone like Sandra and Emmet. It didn't seem exactly fair to them but it at least made some sense.

Karen laughed softly " These " rules " are a farce, catch his meaning at beating an opponent to within an inch of their life....If that last inch were to snap,it could hardly be counted as our fault " she looked over her shoulder at where most of those annoying True Notes were standing together. If she couldnt kill Sandra or Emmet cause of the phoenix force, then she could make them suffer by harming their friends. She shivered and hugged herself, squeezing her legs together in sexual pleasure at the thought, picturing Sandra's face as she saw her girlfriends mangled corpse.

Riku was smiling so much it looked like his face was going to break, these rules were shady as hell and he was here for it, thinking of all the ways he could exploit them and take care of a certain jack ass priest. He didnt have to look over at Noah to know he was thinking the exact same thing. Kano saw no problem with the rules, sounded like many tournaments he'd seen back home.

Emmet pondered this and this referee as well, these rules and attitude towards them are incredibly lax. A part of them thought they were wonderful as is, but another part of him felt a sense of foreboding " My my, if were not careful, we'll coat the ring in blood " he rubbed his forehead, the bloodlust running rampant in the room, clouding his senses " But... I would ask my fellow true notes to refrain from taking utterly savage action against each other. I dont doubt Dr. Spaydes amazing medical prowess, but it's more or less the sight of it would tarnish friendships "

As he spoke, his gaze shifted over Riku and Noah. Riku flinched at his piercing gaaze and any thoughts of murdering Noah were swept away, much to his annoyance " Getting pretty heavy in here, alright alright, no murder or excessive beatings.....on people in the true notes, the rest of you jackasses arent getting off even halfway as easy "

Emmet smiled, that was one issue averted, as the temperature started rising, she shot the girl it was coming from a sharp look, something about this energy was bothinering him and he couldnt pin point why.

Suddenly everyone found themselves standing on the lawn of the arena, all around them people were cheering. Mr.Ref was now standing in the middle of the ring " And here you have it folks, the eighteen combatants that will be putting on a show for you!! But before we get this thing started, our lovely and perfect sponsor would like to say a few words and explain the awesomest prizes!!! here she is, Principle Cordelia!!!!! "

A mental image of Cordelia appeared next to Mr.Ref, she gave a regal wave and the was answered by deafening cheers from the crowd " Welcome to another festival tournament! You've already heard about the rules, now it's time for the prizes! First place will receive the grand total of 500,000 dollars! Second place will get 50,000 and third place will receive 1,000 and as an added bonus, any of the top three will have the option of facing the strongest combatant on the island, Professor Ashe!! "

Ashe was sitting on a makeshift thrown with a crown and cape, looking completely dissinterested, Cordelia grabbed him five minutes ago and explained, he shrugged and agreed to it, though not the crown or cape. This got more cheers, a good number of them confused and doubtful, but those were the people who'd never had Ashe's class or heard about the infamous " drug deal in the front row incidient "

Cordelia waved again and vanished, allowing Mr. Ref to take control again " Without further delay, lets begin. Each match will be randomly seletected from that!! "

He pointed to a large tv monitor that had been wheeled out, all the combatants names flashed across the screen till it stopped on two.

Emmet V Karen

" The first round match will be Emmet Jones VS Karen K, maychance that be Kardashian! "

Emmet smiled " The best goes first it seems " he started doing a bunch of stretches to get him ready.

" Damn bitch, you flexible " Tanesha said after Emmet was finished " Good luck and kick that bitches ass! " He held up her hand and Emmet slapped it

" I shall do nothing less than dawling "

Sandra gave a smile at the first fight, looks like she'd get to witness Emmet embarrass this bitch and eliminate her right at the very start of the tournament. Sandra spoke up to wish her friend luck. "Hey like Tani said, good luck out there. Be sure to give Karen one for me will you, since obviously won't be getting the opportunity to face her myself." Sandra smiled at Emmet confident that he had this in the bag.

Amelia was leaned back in the chair with her legs on the table. Even Jonah was going to open a box of donuts they brought. When the contestants came out on the field they both sighed and got ready to unfortunately do their jobs. Amelia of course lazily got her headset ready and began.

"So the first match is between Emmet Jones and Karen...Kunt? What do you think about this match up Jonah?"

"Well physically their is a massive difference. Emmet Jone's has physical ability similar to a Olympic athlete while Karen Kooch at best can only claim the ability to not have a gag reflex,"

Amelia's eyes widened wondering where this amount of animosity came from only to see that Jonah kept his same composed appearance. He was supposed to be nice one of the duo but this worked. She simply let him continue.

"However with their abilities things become interesting. Karen's own ability to manipulate the size of both herself and her opponents is powerful, however Emmet's own strong telepathic abilities makes him extremely flexible. Of course real fights are decided through skill, intelligence and even a little bit of luck, so Emmet may have this."

"There you have it everyone. It looks like we will have an entertaining match between our resident Diva and that girl I see on the corner every night. Let's have a great match!"

Emmet grinned at the commentary box, flew into the air and gently floated down into the ring, getting a wave of applause and the chanting of his name.

" Well, this contestant certainly has a fan club, can miss Kunt, I mean miss K pleae join us as well? "

Karen blinked out of the fantasies she'd been having and started walking towards the ring, as she got closer, her hait started swaying back and forth, elongating and growing bigger. Her hair reached the ring before she did, by the time she set foot in the ring, her hair had become a giant tanlge that moved about as it it had a mind of it's own, filling the ring.

Emmet looked around wearily, he didnt like the looks of this or vibe he was getting. Karen was smiling at him, her eyes nearly bulging out of her sockets. Mr.Rep looked around as well

" Well I see a lot of split ends, you know what means folks!

YOU CANT ESCAPE FROM CROSSING FATE!! READY GOOOOO!!!

Mr.Rep vanished, signaling the start of the match. Karens hair instantly converged on Emmet, raised a wall of fire around himself. He gasped as the hair went through his wall and suffered no damage for it. He flew backwards, twisting and turning to avoid getting snared, with a burst of speed he cleared the hair forest and floated above the ring. He wasted no time and bombarded the ring with blast of intense fire, he needed to see if her pilfered hair was truly immune to his attacks.

Keeping his vision trainined on the writhing not, he could see parts that were charred, so it was more of a matter of using more power, simple enough, but this fight was going to be more difficult then he thought. He'd been prepared to combat her size alterations, but this was completely new. As continued to bathe the field in flames, a large object suddenly shot out of the hair field, it got closer, Emmet could see it was Karens enlarged hand. He verred to the right, but strands of hair seeming appeared out of nowere, wrapping around his neck and waist.

Emmet gagged as the hair squeezed him Karens suddenly stopped, more hair wrapped around Emmets body, holding him tightly. Suddenly he dragged downward and slammed into the ground, he gasped in pain, but before he could regain his composure, he was lifted into the air again and once again slammed into the ground, even harder this time. The hair in the ring parted, revealing Karen who was grinning like a fool " I couldnt miss seeing this, does it bring back memories? Were interupted last time, but maybe we can pick up where we left off "

As she said this, strands of hair made their way to Emmets mouth and with that he'd had enough. He hadnt wanted to fall back on this power, preferring to trounce this pleb with his own flames, but perhaps this would be more fitting. Karen gasps as power pulsated through Emmets body and sent shockwaves straight through the hair and back to Karen. Flames of greater power expoded out and burned away all the hair holding Emmet. He floated back down to the ring, all of Karens hair pushed.

" Shall we carry this fight on, but on a different footing. Please pay attention and allow me to teach you what real torture looks like "

Sandra was watching the battle and was surprised by Karen's attacks, she'd never thought of Karen extending her hair and using it as a weapon, heck Sandra didn't even know Karen could do that seeing as the girls had never shown such a ability before. Then when it looked like Karen's new hair attack was at least resistant to Emmet's flames, it started to make her worry. Sandra started to fret the worst when Karen finally got a hold of Emmet, she knew the few hits Emmet had taken was only the beginning. Sandra would soon be able to take a sigh of relief when it looked like Emmet was about to turn the tables.

Katy and Julie both seemed to be taking notes on the battle itself, trying to prepare themselves if they faced either of these two on the next round. Tesla was somewhat keeping tabs on the battle but seemed more interested in all the other people waiting their turn, any one of these could end up being her opponent, thus Tesla seen them as the more immediate threats.

The moment Emmet gained the upper hand the crowd roared at the pyrotechnic display. Roberta tensed up expecting Karen too have another trick up her sleeve. Tyrone yelled out with the crowd cheering Emmet on mostly because he put a lot of money on Emmet or Riku participating and winning. Tie was pleased that things at least weren't boring and the Demon merely smirked when Emmet seemed to light up the ring with flames.

"What an amazing counter against the Ratchet Rapunzel strat!" Amelia said right after basically inhaling the donut she was eating.

Scott watched as Karen and Emmett did battle, each one displaying unique tricks. He remembered Sandra and Emmett telling him that Karen had killed Sandra once, and that explained all of the obvious animosity toward her. She was holding her own against Emmett, an impressive feat for one lacking cosmic powers.
"They didn't waste any time starting off with a grudge match like this."
Karen's long red hair that had been taken from Sandra even angered him a bit, so he could understand why Emmett and the other True Notes despised her so much.
"If Riku and Noah end up fighting, I wonder if they'll be able to resist not killing each other."
He chuckled as he remembered the two struggling when he had first approached Emmett and Sandra to offer his services.

"We'll see if they end up doing battle" Kiya said to Scott's question about Noah and Riku. "As for Karen, this is the first time I've seen her do the hair thing. I wonder if Karen absorbed any of Sandra's properties through taking her hair. It did look like Emmet had some trouble trying to burn through it with his normal mutant power."

Kiya had heard stories about people who've had organ transplants and started adopting personality/activity traits of the person they got the organ from. If there was actually anything to those stories, then could the same possibly apply to mutants as well? Could the transplant of Sandra's hair maybe be aiding Karen in some small way, giving her extra resistance or such? It was a interesting prospect to think about. Karen did seem oddly confident in this fight, there had to be a reason for that.

Emmet charged forward, cosmic energy coursing through his veins. Karen snarled and lashed out with more of her hair, enlarging and increasing the speed, but the moment it it close to Emmet, it ignited and burned to ash. Karens body exploded out growing to massive proportions. Her hair clouded the sky, casting a red hue over the arena.

Riku squinted as he looked up " I thought so, that weaves been enchanted, explains the way she's controlling it and it's flame resistance " Probably the work of the mage with the hardon for Alice in Wonderland. It didnt appear to be helping much against the power of the phoenix though.

Emmet zoomed through the air, gracefully dodging the hair and Karens enlarged hands. If she got her hand on him then the match was as good as over, but Emmet had no intentions of giving her that chance. The temperature in the arena was climbing higher and higher, Emmet sent blast after blast of fire at Karen as a he susected, she stopped relying on the hair and tried dodging or simply taking the attacks.

" You seem to really cherish that hair, despite the fact that it's not yours "

Karen glared at him " I dont know what your referring too, this hair is mine, I claimed it as such when I carved it off Sandra's hea-AAAH!!

An intense burst of phoenix flames sprang to life right in front Karens face, boiling it. She batted her face to quell the flames, but didnt appear to be doing anything.

Emmet regarded Karen with a calm expression that belied the rage beneath the surface. Suddenly Emmet started to feel dizzy, his energy draining. This was the first time he'd tapped into the phoenix force in such a way and his inexperience was showing, time to wrap this up. He gathered as much power as he dared, forming a tornado of flames around Karens masive body.

But as he started to command it to envelop her, she vanished. He looked around wildly, trying to locate the girl. But it was too late before he deduced her plan. She'd rapid shrunk herself then grew back to regular and used her hair to manuver through the air.The cosmic power cut off just as Karens hair wrapped around his body, save for hi right arm, which her gigantic hand grabbed.

" Gotcha! " she declared but to Emmet display, but instead of shrinking him, she slammed him straight into the ground, causing the wring to crack and Emmet to scream out in pain. The audience was in an uproar now, booing and yelling at Karen, cheering Emmet on. Dave was on his feet in worry before he even realized it. He was practically shaking in anger, but Donovan put a calming hand on his shoulder.

" He's got this "

Garfield nodded in agreement and Adrian was just watching the match closely. Emmets display of power had been very interesting, but it appeared he had a time limit for what he could do or so it seemed. Now the match was veering into the predictable, Karen could easily land a win, but she was going to prolong it.

" Oh dear little Emmy, you gave me quite a run around, but in the end this was a foregone conclusion and here we are once again. Sadly I couldnt bring my table or any of my toys, but I can improvise " Her hair grew out till it formed a dome around the two of them. Emmet tried to summon fire, but found he could barely muster a spark.

Karen laughed " Dont bother, my teammates worked some magic on MY hair, aside from allowing me to control it and deal with the heat, when I put up this cute little dome, it mimics the seal that suppressed your powers last time, now lets get started! "

The people in the stands could hear her insane laughter, and many were yelling out for the referee to do something, but he was busy engaging in a twerking contest with some of the audience. A sense of vertigo swept through the arena and Emmet hovering in the air, completely fine.

" Well, that worked out better then I thought it would, sorry dawlings but I'm still getting used to my telepathy, it was a gamble but it appeared to have payed off "

Mr. Ref was doing splits as if he could do them on something else " Wow Challenger Emmet, I'm completely confused, mind telling the audience what you did? "

Emmet smiled " I'd be delighted too, you see I employed my new telepathic abilities and cast an illusion, wasnt entirely sure I could do it, the power being so new to me, but succeed I did. More then I intended as my power swept you all in as well, my apologies, I'm quite alright. However my opponent will not be. I suppose I owe her for this considering how simple minded she is, it wouldnt have been possible otherwise, so allow me to reward her, question, do any of you know what Phalaris's Brazen Bull is? "

" Oooh, I'm familiar with it, but please explain the audience and leave not a single detail out " said Mr. Ref while busting it wide open.

A large fire construct in the form of a bull appeared around Karens fire dome, Emmets smile became darker, more twisted as he started talking " But of course! You see, A long time ago, in the ancint city of Akragas, the tyrant Phalaris ordered a man named Perillos to construct the bull. It was used as an execution device that would roast a person to death. The bronze bull would heat up immediately after a fire was lit beneath it. The heat from where the flame touched would spread throughout the entire shell. The insideof the bull becomes like a frying pan. The person inside would be scorched as they thrashed about, trying to find a way out...even though there is none. This event is different as we lack the actual iron construct, but this wonderful stone stage is a decent substitute. I should also mention that she's still under the impression that she's torturing me, hmm her knees are stuck to the ground now "

Emmet continued on explaining how the intense heat would make skin stick to the bull and no matter how hard a person tried, they couldnt pull themselves free and would slowlt and completely be cooked " Hmm the most terrible part of the brazen bull is that no matter how badly you are burnedm you will not die. While remaining consciou, you mut endur the ten minutes of agony it takes for you to loe all the fluid from your body. Obviously i'm not taking it that far, no killing, mores the pity, but some comeupance is in order, please dont feel pity for this miserable excuse for a person, her crimes againt those precious to me are high and deserves everything she is receiving '

" ROAST THE BITCH!! " Dave yelled from the audience, this seemed to signal to others that it was ok to cheer on thi macabre display and soon others were calling for Karens BBQ Emmet waved at the audience for a moment before turning his attention back toward the ring, cocked his head to the side and placed a hand to his hear.

" Please listen carefully dawlings, for the bulls beautiful music "

Karens bellow of pain split the air as he was abruptly yanked from the illusion and made aware of what was happening to her. Emmet snapped his finger and extinguished the flames. Karens dome of air had been completely incinerated, what was left in the ring was a horrific sight, Karen lay in the ring, much of her skin had been cooked, leaving her stuck to the ring., her clothes were burned away but considering how scorched her body wa, it was impossible to tell she was a woman. Much to Emmet annoyance however, the hair on her head was still intact and looking like she'd just left a salon.

Mr.Ref, finished with the twerking, walked over to the ring and touched it " YOWCHERS, thats HOT! Well that was certainly informative, but time for the countdown!! 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9.......10!!! And the winner of battle 1 is Emmet!!! "

The crowd exploded with applause and whistles, Emmet floated back to the ground and walked back over to the challengers section, whistling a merry tune.

" Well folks were going to take a ten minute intermission to scrape challenger Kunt, I mean Karen off the stage and clean it up, may have to wait a bit longer for it cool off "

A blizzard momentarily rushed through the arena for a second, courtesy of Ashe, and cooled the stage. William and his team walked into the ring and surrounded Karen, William knelt over her and gently touched her arm and started repairing her skin enough for them to pull her up safely.

" Well folks, challenger Emmet certainly through down the gauntlet and put on an aweome show, lets see if the rest of the tournament can be a awesome and gory!!! " Mr. Ref declared with one more act of twerking. He was certainly right, many of the other combatants were eyeing Emmet cautiouly as a potentional opponent for the second round.

Riku clapped Emmet on the back " Excellent fight, not that I expected anything less, kudos for using one of my favorite instruments of torture "

Emmet laughed " Thank you dawling, I could do no less "

Right after Riku and Emmet had their exchange of words, Sandra ran up to him practically swinging herself into his arms and hugged him. When Emmet's Phoenix power failed him it looked like Karen had things well in hand, Sandra feared the worse and even turned away from the ring unable to bring herself to watch whatever sick and twisted ideas Karen was about to execute. Emmet felt like family to her, like the big brother she never knew she wanted or needed until she met him. To sit back and watch anything happen to him would of been excruciating, same as it was if anything happened to Tanesha.

When it was revealed what Emmet actually did Sandra felt so much relieve and joy. Sandra's tears hadn't even fully dried up yet she so quick to run and meet him. "Damnit Emmet, don't worry me like that!" she exclaimed. When the emotions started to settle and the hugging was over, Sandra was able to start properly processing in her mind what Emmet had done. "Wow Emmet, that really was amazing. When did you get so good at casting illusions, or even get this good with the Phoenix?" Sandra was pretty sure she would of failed at trying to pull off what Emmet just did, she still didn't really understand how to summon the Phoenix necessarily at will, nor was she certain she could off pulled a illusion this convincingly. It was only a short while ago Emmet was asking Sandra for help, but now it felt like Emmet was leaving her behind, or at least he was coming into his abilities easier and quicker then Sandra herself was. Where was all this coming from?

Emmet hugged Sandra back " My apologies dawling, but it was necessary to achieve victory "

Karen had finally been picked up from the ring and taken to the medic tent set up nearby, Emmet felt annoyed that they were going to undo his handiwork, but he let it go and turned back to Sandra " Honestly, a good portion of it came down to luck. My skills with telepathy seem to have made a leap, but in truth large part of it was Karen herself. You see hearing hr thoughts was riddiculously simple, her very mind was open wide and belching out all the filth of her mind, her desire to torture the both of us, our loved ones, etc. So I deduced the merits of trying to enter her mind, i'm going to need to bathe thouroughly after the tournament, once there the knowledge simply came to me, I have many books on telepathy and the mind so I believe that helped. It was a rather sloppy job and I wasnt hundred percent sure it would work, but in the end Karen again lent me a helping hand, she so completely wanted to believe it, so she did. Unfortunately power and her stupidity dragged the whole arena into the show "

" As for the phoenix, again I took a gamble, I do feel a certain affinity with the simple because of my natural connection to the element of fire, though I dont believe the phoenix fire is literally connected to flames. I was fully prepared to lose this match and it very well could have gone that way, but remember this dawling, in battle nothing is truly certain, skill and power are important, but a bit of luck can change a game completely and always remember, taking a big risk can have a big payout or a big payout, but dont be afraid, one cant trully accomplish anything but not taking any risk, you need only look to me for an example "

Kano found himself taken in by Emmets words, it was exxactly what his father was always telling, Emmet was wise beyond his years and it was moments like this that made him forget how young Emmet was, especially in comparison to an Asgardian.

Tanesha hugged Emmet too " Thanks for the words of wisdom and great fight...I really dont wanna fight "

Emmet laughed " Relax dawling, I dont forsee having anymore battles quite as colorful as that one, if I meet any of my friends in the ring then I shall meet your warriors spirit with respect "

" Still not making me feel better, but I got you, no holding back " Tanesha looked around at the other fighters and really wasnt liking her chances, especially against Kano or Riku and that one chick that smelled like smoke was giving her bad vibes.

" Power isnt everything and it's foolishly to completely relie on it, versatility is key and your power is good for that " Emmet said, sensing Tanesha's apprehension at fighting now " Skill is key, remember that you'll do fine "

Tanesha smiled " Wow, your really full of the sagely wisdom today "

" Always dawling, always "

Kaiser was sitting cross legged on the commentary box watching the whole fight with an unreadable expression, he let out a sigh of relief at the outcome, he chuckled a little, wondering why he was worrying so much, he knew how strong his mother was.

Once the ring was cleaned up, Mr. Ref strode back in " Alright sorry about the wait folks, without further delay, lets reveal who's fighting next!!

Katy VS Nina

How wise Emmet could be was almost memorizing at times, but hearing his thoughts did make make Sandra think that maybe she should stop playing things so safely and take a risk now and then.    The worst that can happen is it backfires and she gets eliminated from the tournament.    Watching Emmet did kinda have Sandra herself curious now how far she could really go.    Emmet would start talking to Tani next and Sandra had to agree.   "Emmet's right babe.   I have faith in you, I'm sure you can find your way."

The next match would be announced and Katy would step forward.   Looks like it's my turn, wish me luck guys."   Katy would make her way to the ring.    What was the odds that she'd have to face Nina in the first round.    Katy was just about certain she could get the edge over vampire girl in terms of combat skill, but the other girl had incredible speed and strength.     Katy knew if she was to stand any hope, that she had to slow her opponent down.    Going in head to head Nina was simply to powerful.

Nina walked by the True Notes as she headed for the ring, giving a passing glance as she sized up possible future opponents.   Mind games from the two telepathy is something she'd have to be careful for.    From what was displayed so far by Emmet this Phoenix power looked like a issue, but Nina figured she could get by it if she was quick enough to react.    Somehow it didn't surprise Nina that Karen would botch this up.   Her shot at revenge and she blew it.  

Nina stepped into the ring eyeing the blue haired girl across from her.  She had to admit the girl had guts.    With a emotionless expression Nina simply said "Now you do remember how this went last time, right?"    Katy would simply respond with the generic "things will be different this time" line.   It would seem the girl was overconfident, at least that was Nina's thoughts.

The ref would start the match and Nina would show her fangs, hoping to trigger memories of their first fight thus frightening and intimidating Katy.    Nina would pounce forward at a relative quick speed and Katy would narrowly duck and roll out of the way.    Nina would land on the portion of the ring Katy was standing, but something perplexed her when her hand touched a went concrete surface.    Looking carefully Nina could see a thin layer of water on the surface of the ring.

Katy knew Nina's first attack wasn't serious, she was simply testing to see if she gotten inside Katy's head.    "That's right, just keeping playing with your food" Katy thought to herself as she narrowly rolled out of the way.    Katy continued to move about the ring as Nina seemed to be trying to figure out Katy's plan.     Katy was extracting excess water from any source she could, even the air itself and she was using that excess to moisten the ring.    As the ring was almost fully moistened Katy  seen Nina start to stand from crouched position and look back towards her.     Now was time for Phase two of Katy's plan.    If this worked Katy was sure it would turn the tide in her favor.     "Didn't your mother ever teach you not to play with your food".      Katy still wasn't very good at what she was about to attempt, but the reward was worth the gamble.

Nina watched on, she could attack Katy right now and end this fight in seconds, but she was curious what trick the other girl had up her sleeve that made her so confident.    The girl seemed to be focusing quite hard on something, and before long Nina noticed the thin layer of water on the ring begin to rapidly freeze.    The freeze started at Katy's feet and expanded outward covering the entire ring, Nina hoped when the edge of the freeze neared her to avoid her feet getting stuck to the ring floor.     Nina landed on the new slick icy surface almost losing her footing in the process.    So this was the Katy's master plan, a ring of ice.    "Clever girl."

Katy had been practicing trying to learn ice abilities ever since Ashe hinted to her that it might be possible.    Doing this took a lot of out Katy, she had only practiced freezing cups of water prior to this, a entire ring was something else and Katy was feeling the fatigue.    However it was now impossible for Nina to make quick and sudden movements without slipping and falling, meanwhile Katy had devised a way to maintain complete grip on this slippery surface.

Katy would take the initial offense being cheered on by her friends in the back.   With mobility now on her side Katy would avoid swings from Nina and counter attack.    Nina was keeping her balance on the ice better then Katy expected but still her mobility was hindered, and while she still had her strength Nina found herself unable to make sudden movements without slipping.     Katy would keep avoiding Nina's strikes and would eventually land a kick to the back of Nina's knee that would finally make her buckle and fall to one knee.     Katy would see this as her opportunity to go for the knockout blow straight at Nina's head.     This would not bold well however as Nina would raise her arm to catch Katy angle in her hand.     Katy screamed out as Nina's intense grip felt like it was going to snap Katy's leg.     "Nice try, but it's over now."    Nina knew there was no way Katy could possibly over power and escape her grip, and the girl spent her energy on her little skating ring trick.    Nina stood back up, on her free hand her nails extended into long claws.     Nina would trust her arm forward digging her claws deep into Katy's stomach.    

Nina slowly retracted her claws, letting go of Katy's leg the girl collapsed to her hands and knee's.    Katy refused to give up but the red blood dripping on the ice bluish white ring was clearly visible and marked the end of this battle.    Nina stepped around to Katy's backside and grabbed the girl by the hair, painfully yanking and dragging Katy to her feet.    Extending her fangs Nina bit into Katy's neck, blood dripping from the corners of her mouth and down Katy's neck as Nina feasted.    Nina took the girl as far as she could and when Katy passed out Nina threw her unconscious body to the ground.    "2-0" Nina stated as she turned and walked towards the back.

It felt so good to finally have a decent meal, being constantly on the edge of starvation wasn't pleasant and left Nina weak.   Now after feasting she could already feel her body growing stronger then it already was, and their was so many victims that remained.

The commentary box was eerily silent through the whole match. It wasn't the brutality of Nina that caused this. They looked on with little to no emotion shown on their faces as their enemy a Vampire was feeding in front of everyone. Of course, they knew that going down there and disposing of the beast wouldn't help. In fact Amelia and Jonah calmed themselves and decided to continue their commentary. Amelia put the microphone up to her mouth and began the small coverup.

"What a fight! At least we know the result of Dracula vs Random Waterbender. What do you think Jonah?"

"Well lets take a look at key moments of the fight." The commentary box had its own projection system. Jonah took control of it and displayed a massive hologram over the stadium for everyone to see. An image of Katy freezing the ring and getting caught by Nina's grapple. "As you can see as Katy controlled the environment, but lacked the experience of the first round's winner. She took a gamble and assumed her opponent would be open."

"Looks like she was wrong because apparently her opponent is physically superior to her and also apparently drinks human blood. That would be crazy if she was a vampire right? Lets hope there's no vampire hunters around. Specifically Catholic ones."

The fight wasn't as brutal nor was it as flashy, so there were more cheers than gasps at the finally. Of course amongst Katy's friends the reaction was more varied. Tie smiled knowing that the vampire was lucky Katy was so inexperienced. With more control over her elemental abilities the old vampire wouldn't be able to walk away so confidently.

The audience was watching the match with mixed ranges of emotions, Katy appeared to be the favorite of the match with many people cheering her on. The other combatants were paying close attention. Emmet was frowning a little, as if he could already see who the victor was going to be. Riku was busy trying to stop Noah, who was glaring at Nina in the ring, bloodlust emanating from him " Kill...kill the abomination "

" Dude, put away the kill boner, I know you church bastards love killing vampires but theres a proper time and place for everything! Were in a tournament and if you storm the stage and rip the bitches head off, it'll fuck everything up. Just hold off till the end, for the time being she's not going anywhere, just remember, WE may get to fight each other "

This seemed to snap Noah out of it, His gaze remained on Nina, but for now her unlife was safe. Once the match was over, gentle breeze blew through the stage and lifted Katy, courtesy of Williams assistant Shakti, the aerokinetic woman brought Katy over to the medic area and placed her on a cot. Her wounds were'nt too bad, the blood loss was worrying though.

Dr. Spayde, one hand on Karen and regenerating his skin, place another hand on Katy and healed her wounds and sped up the blood regeneration process, she was going to be fine and would wake up soon enough.

Mr.Ref bounced back into the ring " Wow that match didnt suck, not at all, anyway lets keep the momentum going and bring out the next match!! "

Tesla VS Roberta

Sandra was surprised to see Katy eliminated in the first round. Hopefully her and Tani's mentor going down so soon wasn't a omen of things to come. Although seeing Nina bite into Katy's neck was quite a unsettling sight. Sandra rubbed the back of her neck, wondering/imagining what that most feel like. Those long shape fangs, they must paralyze you if they sink in. To be rendered helpless as you feel your life being drained away, it gave Sandra chills just thinking about it.

Nina walked to the back, passing a glance as she could feel all the steers towards her. With her secret out now the, not that it was any kind of secret regardless seeing Katy had met Nina before and surely told the rest of the True Notes about her, but now that the rest had seen her first hand for themselves there was certainly some Nina would have to be wary of, especially the church goer Noah. Damn hypercritical high and mighty religious types, they are the real scum of the Earth if you was to ask her.

The next match was announced to be Tesla vs Roberta. Only the third fight in and we already have a battle of the True Notes. Tesla approached her fellow friend and said "good luck out there" before turning and walking towards the ring.

Scott watched as Emmett soundly defeated Karen with his Phoenix power.
"Man, those burns have got to hurt like hell."
The next match pit Katy against Nina, and though the water user held her own, she lost to an opponent who turned out to be a vampire. Looking over, he saw that Noah wanted to kill her but was being held back by Riku of all people.
"That Nina really is a pain in the neck."
The next fight was Tesla vs. Roberta, the first time that one True Note was fighting another.
"Well, this should be interesting."

"Same, you'll need it." Roberta said with obvious confidence. As they both walked to the ring Roberta tried not to think too much on the fights she just watched. Everyone had their own tricks when overcoming near defeat and thinking too hard on what Tesla had up her sleeve wasn't Roberta's style. Adapting on the fly was easier.

"Oh I remember their powers!" Amelia said on mic accidentally but decided to keep going as if it was on purpose. "So umm yeah this match might be interesting. On one side Roberta Cisneros is basically a human battering ram. Strong, fast and can take punishment. On the other Tesla Nova who can turn into diamond whenever she wants to flex on some bitches."

"So its Captain Columbia vs Bling Bling Girl. Should be fun." just as Jonah stopped speaking the two contenders made it to the field and were ready to fight. The referee eager for a fight wasn't going to wait.

"Alright young ladies. I WANNA SEE THAT WEAVE FLY GO!!!!"

Roberta jumped forward with enough force to kick up a small cloud of dustand launch herself towards Tesla almost too fast for her to react. She intended on punching Tesla so fast she wouldn't be able to activate her ability in time and hopefully knocking her out.

Kiya rolled her eyes and laughed at Scott's comment towards Nina. "Really man, you just had to go with the most obvious pun ever didn't you?"

The sudden quickness caught Tesla off guard a little as she wasn't expecting that right out of the gate. Tesla's ability activated just as Roberta made contact. On Robeta's end it felt like hitting a solid wall at full strength. On Tesla's end she was seen shifting into diamond form while actually spinning around and falling face first to the floor. Roberta knew she must of made contact before Tesla's powers entirely kicked in, but going by the impact she herself received was it soon enough?

The ref started counting and got to about 6 when Tesla started to stir and shake the cobwebs from her head. "Damnit that's smarts" Tesla said as she started to climb back to her feet. Tesla realized that was close, Roberta actually beat her ability activation time, luckily Tesla's skin had managed to harden just enough prior to Roberta's strike landing that it still reflected much of the blows force. "A valiant effort from the human battering ram. If it's any consolation however, that hurt like hell"

Tesla was in her full diamond state now. Tesla went on the retaliation after Roberta, happy to return the impact if she could hit her.

It's been awhile since Roberta hit something that tough. The one chance she had of finishing the match immediately was gone and her left hand was in pain, but she wasn't disappointed. in fact the delightful grin painted on her face was a sign that she was hoping this would happen. "Not bad."

Just as Tesla attacked Roberta charged again, but with less speed. This time she approached with a bit more caution. Tesla's durability made a quick win unlikely. The moment they were close enough to attack Roberta revealed her other ability that even she barely understood. Thousands of different ways to fight and kill another was always present within her but she could only call on less than a percent of it. Roberta's previous brutal and rough movement changed. Her body moved with an elegance only seen in experienced martial artists. Next thing she knew Roberta was already behind her. Tesla noticed arms wrapped around her wrapped around her waist and now felt her whole body being lifted up into the air only to be slammed down into the ground.

While the super powered suplex wasn't powerful enough to split the ring with cracks, scratch marks and a indentation in the stone where Tesla made impact showed that the ring took as much damage or more then Tesla herself actually took.    Seeing diamond was one of the hardest substances on the planet, certainly harder then the marble stone the ring consisted of, it would make sense to see the ring take on impact damage if Tesla collided with it.

Tesla was back to her feet fairly quickly after Roberta's attack.    Now that her diamond defenses was up inflicting damage to her was going to be much more difficult then before.    "Alright enough pussy footing around, if your so strong then how about you match me head on?"    It was a gutsy move to challenge Roberta to a head on test of strength, though Tesla wasn't really wanting to overpower Roberta per say, she just wanted to bait Roberta into a position where Tesla could get her hands on the girl.      

A heavy hardened diamond skinned body while very tough wasn't exactly built for speed.    Roberta was indeed very strong, but Tesla herself wasn't exactly weak either, certainly not in this form.    But Roberta was quick as well, and that was going to be trouble if Tesla was unable to neutralize it in some way.    Thus the head to head challenge.

Roberta would decide to take up Tesla on her request, the two women would charge forward towards each other clashing and locking in the middle of the ring. Coming to a stale mate in the middle of the ring Tesla faked going for a headbutt but instead stomped on Roberta's right foot. A stomp like this would crush a average persons bones into dust, but Roberta was not a average person. As hopefully at least some pain ran through Roberta's foot and up her leg, Tesla would finish her initial attack connecting with a powerful headbutt. Tesla would break the lockup grabbing Roberta's shoulder with her left hand, Tesla then balled it right hand into a fist and gave the strongest punch she possibly could to Roberta's shoulder buckling her over. Tesla would finish her assault with a spine shattering axe handle to Roberta's back dropping the girl to the floor.

Ordinarily any one of these shots could put a person down for the count, let alone all of them together. But Tesla wasn't convinced somebody of Roberta's strength would fall yet. Not giving Roberta any time to recover Tesla placed her right foot on Roberta's skull and started pressing it against the ring. This was a delicate game Tesla intended to play, she had to apply enough pressure to make Roberta submit or pass out, but to much pressure and Tesla's foot would shatter and crush the other girls skull. "It's over Roberta, just say you quit. There is no need to drag out the suffering."

The weight of her diamond form combined with the amount of force she pressed against Roberta's skull was enough to even make her grit her teeth in pain. Tesla was stronger than Roberta thought and knew this was a moment in which the tables may have been turned. Still, she smiled as blood painted her teeth. "Y-You say-" with her left hand Roberta ignored the pain of her shoulder and grabbed onto Tesla's ankle with a unbreakable grip. Even through her diamond form she felt the immense pressure.

"The funniest things!" she lifted her foot barely an inch, but it was enough for Roberta to quickly roll out from under Tesla, barely missing a stomp that cracked the marble floor. Roberta was on her feet in a instant spitting out a tooth that was slowly but painfully growing back. "No need to drag out the suffering? That's the best part!"

Impatient she hit her shoulder blade that was dislocated not caring about waiting for it to heal. Still she felt a little dizzy from the earlier headbutt and pain still shot through her back. "I'm sorry about earlier. I underestimated you Tesla and was worried about killing you. But now I won't hold back!" Roberta's feet began to dig into the marble ground as if it was dirt. She was getting ready for an attack similar to the one earlier, but Tesla could see this was likely even stronger.

In a instant Roberta launched forward cratering the ground beneath her. Too Tesla's eyes Roberta nearly appeared in front of her. Tesla felt a fist slam into her face with far more force than before. Roberta's hand broke and her bones was sticking out of her arm from the impact. Tesla was shot far out the ring and a couple meters into a wall. Of course this didn't mean she was done since there was time to come back. However, Roberta didn't let her disabled arm slow her down. She stood right at the edge of the ring waiting for Tesla to come back. "Come on Tesla you don't have that long. I don't mind breaking another limb." she said even though the pain almost felt overwhelming.

"Well shit is she out?!" Amelia nearly shouted. If anyone blinked they likely didn't even see that clash or even knew where Tesla was now.

"Not yet she has time to return. Of course all her opponent has to do is stop her once and its over."

Tesla was almost stuck into the wall from that blow but managed to wriggle herself free. She stumbled for a step feeling that one even through her diamond skin, the power Roberta had was truly amazing. Hearing the count now Tesla made a dash back to the ring where Roberta was waiting and threw a clothline at Roberta's feet, connecting with her right ankle and tripped her. Tesla wasn't sure if the broke Roberta's leg or not as she rushed to get back into the ring and break the count. Tesla went to stomp on Roberta's chest but girl quickly rolled out of the way. Roberta's quickness was annoying, but looking at the girls condition it seemed Roberta's full powered strikes was doing more damage to herself then they where to Tesla. If need be Tesla figured she could certain survive a few more attacks like that and let Roberta cripple herself. "Alright if you think you can finish this, lets see it. Give me your best shot."

Roberta responded to the challenge with another charge again. This time she kicked Tesla in the chest pushing her out the ring again. However all it did was place her on the grass and the attack didn't break Roberta's leg. There was still pain but the kick she did was done in a way to lessen the stress. It put Tesla back at square one but closer to the ring. Just a dozen feet away, but this time Roberta jumped into the air and out the ring. Tesla could see as the girl came down that she was getting ready to hit her again. She steeled herself for an attack but realized that Roberta was aiming for her. Instead as Roberta landed she struck the grass with enough force to send up a cloud of dirt that briefly concealed everyone's vision. It was only a few seconds but Roberta used her enhanced sight to see Tesla and grabbed her arm.

"It's over!" she tightened her grip and swung Tesla around with all her strength and tossed her even further away from the ring. Like before Tesla's diamond form was embedded into a wall. This time a few seconds already passed and Roberta was willing to wait outside the ring for Tesla who had already left the ring first. Running past someone like Roberta without a fight was impossible which meant she needed to incapacitate Roberta fast enough to make it into the arena.

Roberta herself took a deep breath and moved into a stance that allowed her to strike out instantly at her opponent. The dust was clearing and they had almost no time left. It was time for this to end.

Tesla actually had to break herself free from the wall this time and seen Roberta was waiting for her. Tesla had to admit she wasn't used to being tossed around like this, not in this form. Part of what gave Tesla her strength in this form was that in order to move around her body had to adopt and strengthen itself to move around such mass. Not many could pick up a 5ft+ tall diamond, let along swing it around like a baseball bat. So being women-handled in this type of manner certainly had Tesla a little off her game.

Well there was no choice, there was seconds left. Trying to get around Roberta was not a option, if Tesla couldn't go through her then time would run out. Tesla charged at Roberta who went to strike at Tesla again, expecting Tesla to tank it again like she'd done the entire fight. This time though Tesla anticipated the attack ahead of time and managed to just duck underneath with Roberta gracing her diamond hair. Tesla would keep her momentum up hitting Roberta with a completely devastating spear attack. Tesla wouldn't even give Roberta a second to breath, picking her up off the grass and tackle slamming the girl into the side of the ring with enough force to crack and chip it. Tesla quickly rolled onto the ring, the count was virtually on 10, this had to be it at this point.
