Name: Terdran Forsekka; when in human form, is called Kian Salazar.
Age: 76 (still considered young in Ayzrahim standards)
Species: Ayzrahim
DC Status - Original
Powers & Abilities:
Visage Shaping: Like other Highborne Ayzrahim, Terdran has the ability to change his appearance at will, and not just to people. He can disguise himself as a tree, a rock, or whatever object he may wish. The limitation is that a non-humanoid form cannot be held for more than a few seconds; it will quickly destabilize and return him to his original form.
Portal Manipulation: As one of the last three Spacewarpers, Terdran is capable of creating up to one portal with a range of around 100 kilometers at maximum. Distance scales with energy consumption, and he can redirect projectiles, energy beams, and other kinds of hostile ordinance using a portal.
Warrior: Terdran has trained in many forms of combat, becoming akin to a member of the League of Assassins in skill. He prefers to wield a plasma blade, which were ceremonial weapons used by the Highborne when they were still part of Ayzrahim society. It can cut through most metals with ease, though it becomes useless underwater.
Occupation: Publicly a barista; privately aligned with the Ayzrahim Highborne
History:
Terdran was one of the Ayzrahim born during the Great Trek, which saw the Dawn of Ancient Days’ exodus within the void. His parents were descended from the first supes, whose powers had done a great deal in keeping the ship operational far past its technical lifespan. For the first 16 years of his life he never set his eyes upon a true world, or felt the touch of fresh air. There was only the dim shine of artificial lights, constantly recycled air with oxygen derived from algae farms, and food that never tasted real.
Terdran, who inherited the ability to manipulate the fabric of space to create tunnels within it, lived in the regimented society of the station, rationing food, water, and even air for the inhabitants in an effort to keep the greater whole alive for as long as it takes to reach Earth. Despite all this, he had a slightly more privileged position in the station as one of those that had abilities. He was a Highborne, and a Spacewarper as well. His kind were both respected and heavily relied upon… which would be tested as their sensors found a habitable world.
Terdran and the other 99 Spacewarpers gathered in a great circle, where they began to work their powers, pooling their energies together to form a bridge through space to get to the world that would be the salvation of all that remained of their race. Their combined power multiplied exponentially, and yet, it was barely enough. As the Dawn entered the portal they created, their minds buckled under the stress. Hungry and weak, most of the Spacewarpers of the Dawn collapsed and died just as the ship entered Earth’s atmosphere. Those that were dying were ultimately killed at the landing.
The only surviving Spacewarpers were Terdran and a female Spacewarper named Narea. Being the last of the Gate Master’s ancient bloodline, society’s laws dictated that they must bear children, so that the Warpers may yet live. There was no need for the law to dictate this, though; they were already in a bond before the mass death of their kin.
Years passed. Narea and their son, Talkien, were stationed on Mel’an’tay when the Third World War began. The Highborne and the rest of the Ayzrahim saw what the United States intended to do; it was going to remove their freedoms, the freedom that the first Ayzrahim supers fought for when they upended their governments. Terdran was forced to watch, however, as Thanagor was taken over by the United Empire, and most of the Highborne killed. He led the rest to safety, scattering them throughout the planet.
As for him, he could no longer contact his wife and son, for they had warped the station towards Martian orbit, where they will stay as long as the Empire rules. Terdran, however, wishes for vengeance, and for justice.
