Tesla was introduced as a woman with severe trust issues and amoral nature for everyone around her. Trust to her was something non existent and she had no willingness to even grow close to others, let alone trust. All this a result of the abandonment issues she suffered since childhood due to her families rejection, which is later discovered to have been caused by Adrien Carson.

However, with time and thanks to the SXM, in particular Chulance, Tesla has grown to trust and care for others once again, especially the SXM themselves who she views as a sort of family.   Due to what he did to her and her family, Tesla has a great hatred of Carson and has vowed personal vengeance on him. This only fueled when Carson killed Tesla's family who she had just gotten to reconnect with again.

Tesla displayed she can still hold a brutal side towards enemies as she killed Carson without remorse when given the chance.   She's also spoken her mind on a few occasions without regret.

As a former mercenary and member of the SXM, and due to the nature of her powers, Tesla is a very good hand to hand fighter, and shows a great amount of agility and reflexes.   While not peak human form, Tesla even outside her diamond state has a surprising amount of power and impact behind her strikes.  Her looks are deceiving, but her strength, speed, and agility makes her someone to be careful around.

Powers:
Initially Tesla's power was simple the creation and manipulation of diamonds. However, upon taking Neil's formula, she gained the ability to control carbon in all its forms, similar to a hydrokinetic that can manipulate all states of water.

-Carbon manipulation: The ability to manipulate the molecular structure of carbon atoms, allowing her to control the state carbon presents itself. From graphite to diamond, she can rearrange the atoms in a way to either strengthen or weaken anything within her line of sight.
--Carbon Armor: Similar to William, she can give others a thin layer of armor by controlling the carbon in their skin. This armor is as strong as diamond and malleable with the skin
--Molecular Destruction: By completely severing the bonds between the carbon, she can instantly reduce living beings to dust. However, this only applies to beings with a carbon based structure, in other others, only beings from Earth

-Diamond manipulation: Tesla possess the power to create and manipulate solid diamond. She creates it by arranging the loose carbon atoms in the surrounding environment into the structural allotrope that corresponds to it. Her power is set to only allow her to recombine the carbon atoms to that particular allotrope, hence why she can't form other carbon based materials. She can slightly tweak the structure to alter it's density, and manipulate it to alter the shape as desired, with the only limit being her imagination
At first, her limit in distance was around 30 meters, but her powers since have vastly increased, in part thanks to her time with the SXM, and she can now create diamonds up to 5 miles away from her position, essentially giving her a power similar to Justin to create a massive field of her own weapons.
She can entrap people in hard shell cases of about 5 centimeters thickness. Nothing short of superhuman strength can shatter her prisons. It is also theorized that she can turn the carbon within a person's body into diamond, effectively rendering them a living statue of diamond.

-Diamond crusting: She can create a diamond skin that grants her added protection and strength. It also facilitates creating diamond from her own body for fast counter attacks.

-Organic Diamond: Tesla possesses the ability to transform her body into a flexible organic diamond form. She does so by transforming the carbon in her own body, from tissue to organs. In many ways, this is similar to Luke's organic steel form. She must transform all parts of her body, rather than selectively transforming certain areas and can remain in this form for an undetermined amount of time. If she is rendered unconscious, Tesla's body will automatically transform into its normal state. This transformation also alters Tesla's personality, causing her to become rather cold hearted and to lose her empathy for others.
In this form, her strength, durability and stamina are all increased to super human levels. She is able to lift approximately 2 tons, resist extreme weather changes and blows from super powered beings. Her body produces almost no fatigue toxins and she can self sustain herself for certain periods of time, not needing air, water of nourishment.

- Green Kryptonite Integration (DC Only): During the Kryptonian invasion of Earth, while in her organic diamond form Tesla inserted a green kryptnite crystal into her body to help weaken Kryptonian's she fought, giving her more of fair chance fighting them. After the invasion she went to pull the crystal out before turning back to human form only to find her body had broken the crystal down. While safe for a human/mutant/metahuman for the short term, Kryptonite was still alien radiation that was coursing uncontrolled though her body, leading to worry Tesla was eventually going to die to radiation poisoning. Before this could happen Tesla among others got into an battle with a omega powered Dave. Tesla occurred life threatening injuries in this battle and was brought to a healing chamber. Te combination of Tesla's unique mutation along with the effects of the healing chamber allowed Tesla's body to adopt to the effects of the crystal it absorbed. This made Green Kryptonite a permanent part of Tesla's being while eliminating the toxic side effect of death. This makes Tesla a permanent threat to all Kryptonian's who aren't unnaturally powered by power rings or other means.

Bio: Tesla is a loner on the most part, accepting various jobs and doing whatever she can to get by.  Her powers started to develop at a young age, and her family abandoned her.  Learning to fend for herself, she started growing more cold and accepting various jobs after learning to control her power.  So she traveled, and as her power developed, she kept accepting more dangerous jobs until finally she meet up with Metallic, and talking to James and accepting the offer given, she and Metallic joined forces to capture mutants.

Tesla first appeared as Metallic's partner. She worked with him to capture mutants for James Rocket.  James was later brought down and Tesla was imprisoned. She was freed along with the remaining members of Nightmare's group in the Phoenix Alliance arc to combat Sandra as the Dark Phoenix.  She started assisting the SXM in various battles, and with their help, gained her organic diamond state.  In the Legacy Virus arc, she was one of the lucky ones to be spared catching the virus, but was quarantined along with the other SXM on Genosha.  Tesla helped with the hunters, and she and Kiya faced off with Hei.  

Before Dark Reign, Tesla was contacted by his family.  At first she wanted nothing to do with them, and ignored them.  She was later convinced to go, to settle her differences with those who caused her so much pain.  Meeting her family for the first time in many years, she was welcomed to the sight of her father passing away.  After revealing they drove her away to protect her, not because she was a mutant. She developed a personal hatred for Carson, the man who made her miss so much time with her family. She waged war on Carson's empire, and with Chulance and Zach, they took down nearly all the attack forces of Carson, and rescued Tiffany from imprisonment.  Tesla went after Carson, only to be met by a holograph.  With Carson already safely away, a powerful explosive, perhaps even nuclear in nature completely destroyed the entire city.  Tesla and the group was saved by Chulance, being teleported to a desert, but Tesla's family was all killed. They were later rescued by William.

She was separated from the main group in Dark Reign, and spent much time traveling with Hunter and Manda to find the rest.

After Dark Reign Tesla was exposed to Nightmares tortures dreams, and killed by Shawkun who turned her to a solid gold statue. Later revived by Milo, she started a little attack group including Manda and Chulance, later involving Luke.  The group attacked attacked Carson again, and Tesla went after Carson himself a second time. Again, she almost died, shot by 4 anti mugen bullets which she could not defend against.  Both were saved by Luke, who severely injured Carson. Tesla was brought back to Yama's where she was treated by William.  Carson would later return stronger then ever and his rivalry with Tesla continued.  In the final battle, with help from SXM Tesla caught Carson and took pride when she killed him with her own hands.

Tesla stayed with SXM furthering her relationship with Chulance.  As time passed Tesla found out she had a godfather, Sirius.  When the power wipe occurred Tesla was one of the few to take a formula to restore ability's, ultimately causing her to lose control.  After those events was resolved Tesla remained active at SXM while Sirius op'd to get rid of his ability's and live a normal life.  She aided Sirius in his feud with Lance and pressure Sirius towards getting his powers back so he would not be left defenseless.  She stayed on SXM largely as a front line combatant leaving big bosses to Milo and the such.  Most recently she expressed her dislike towards the attitude Sandra has obtained over time through her hardships, and confronted Dave about not taking care of his wife as well as he should have.
