Bio: Doris Martinez was born in an impoverished neighborhood infested with drugs, and crime. Her parents were irresponsible alcoholics who often went out to go clubbing and enjoy their lives as her mother had Doris on accident and only kept her to avoid an abortion. Doris dealt with severe abandonment issue's as her parents were often distant and provided for her regretfully. She knew she wanted to escape the life she lived, and was always interested in crime shows, and a career where she could punish people. Her parents eventually found God when she was in her teens, and she even came over to the side of God.

However after seeing hypocrisy in the church, and seeing many people simply used God as another thing to a fill a void she abandoned that. She went to college to pursue a degree in criminal justice wanting to be a prosecutor. However she found herself wanting to do more, and instead wanted to pursue a career in law enforcement. Soon after college she managed to land a job in the FBI due to her impressive analytical skills. She worked her way up in the ranks becoming a great agent, and busted many of the drug dealers, prostitution rings, and other such things in her old neighborhood. She eventually met and fall in love with Bruce Omons.  He was a mysterious and interesting man who claimed to be an author, and the feel deeply in love.

She found out he was a member of the CIA, and only sought her out to recruit her. However he'd developed genuine feelings for her, and the got married. She was recruited into the CIA, and got transferred to the mutant division. At first she didn't approve of harsh methods against mutants, until in one mission investigating a potential treason case a mutant opened up a gravitational vacuum and killed her entire team she realized the harsh treatment. She became engrossed in her work, and it worsened after her husband was killed on a job. She used her connects finding out he died in an investigation of the Shadow X Men murdered in a battle involving Phoenix, Fusion, and others. She grew to hate the SXM, and everything they stood for believing they were terrorists in costumes. She grew in the ranks, and became director of the CIA during Taylor's administration. She was supportive of Vance Collins coup, but didn't outright support him. After the Phoenix murdered him, the coup was exposed she covered her tracks. She was utterly disgusted when President Taylor pardoned him, and was determined to use the Central Intelligence Agency to take down the SXM, and bring order to the superhuman-human conflict.
