Heroes Uprising Part 6

Scott gently patted her shoulders when Minerva said that she would not hold them back, and turned to walk toward the portal to Lightning Hell with a smile. They passed through the portal and entered a truly tranquil realm. Purple grass seemed to have sprung up everywhere, and the sky was a gorgeous magenta. There was not a hint of menace anywhere to be seen. Even so, Valor could sense that their foes were aware of them, and seconds later storm clouds appeared to blot out the majestic skies. Scott looked up at them, his eyes focused but his face devoid of emotion.

Suddenly a bolt of purple lightning came down upon him, and he moved so quickly to dodge it that it was an afterimage of him standing still both where the lightning hit and where he ended up. He had faced multiple opponents with electrically-based powers in the past, including fighting the Norse God Thor himself when Alan made him take a tour of the various afterlives revolving around his own Earth, so this attack was nothing special. With little effort he dodged three more and then grabbed the fourth bolt with a hand coated in Sacred Aura so that he could examine it better.
Hmm, it's not very powerful, only about enough to put you on your knees. Rather than trying to kill us, the Lightning Monarch is simply toying with us. Typical demon behavior.

Scott squeezed the bolt and it shattered like glass before disappearing.
I have no clue how many innocents have already died in this war, but for their sake, we need to hurry.
Scott closed his eyes and linked his mind to Valor, letting the Voltari use his radar to hone in on the Lightning Monarch's energy signature and pin them down. Seconds later, he had the location securely locked into his mind.
"Let's move out."
Scott headed purposefully in the direction of the castle. As he did, demons attacked him and were turned to dust without Scott appearing to have made any move against them, and he never broke stride. The rest of his team was getting an up-close look at how terrifying Scott and Valor could be when they were focused on one goal with the entirety of their beings.


On HU Earth, the nine Generals of Lightning Hell had arrived and had quickly taken over an international news helicopter.
"Greetings, mortals, we are the representatives of Lightning Hell come to fight for the glory of our Lightning Queen and Overlord Satan. We challenge nine of your chosen champions to come fight us in Death Valley here in the United States. The Shadow X-Men, Code: Breakers, Avengers, Shadow Force, and Hero Association have all picked off Generals from lesser Hells, but we challenge their chosen nine to fight us in a massive battle royale. Combat is a way of life in our world, and is the only way to settle our differences."
They released the news helicopter and stood shoulder-to-shoulder, waiting for their foes to answer their challenge.

It was a bit of a wait but finally the next round of generals had arrived, that meant things was still progressing forward in hell. Sandra send out a mass psionic link to the heroes of Earth in general, extending beyond merely SXM and the Code:Breakers."Alright people, looks like we'll need nine for this one. Obviously I'm going, and I'm bring Abby for this one. Kano, I'm certain you are always down for a fight. Roberta I ask that you join us in this fight. Tanesha there will probably be other demons besides the general, can you take charge and hold the front for us? So we have four."

Sandra's visual sight suddenly goes dark as a pair of hands covers her eyes. "Hellooooo, did I hear you wanted help?" Sandra recognized that voice. Why did this girl always randomly disappear. She goes completely off the radar for month then all of a sudden, just shows up. Sandra wasn't sure this girl had the maturity for this upcoming battle, but it's not like she'd listen anyway if they told her no. "Hello Tiffany, long time since we've seen you." Removing the girls hands from covering her eyes, Sandra updated her status. Correction, we have five.

Collin spoke up "wait what about me?" Sandra already decided she didn't want Collin on this mission. "Collin your going to join Tanesha, Kiya and others." It was important they had fighters on both fronts, not everybody could run off to fight the generals. That said they had five, four more where still needed.

When the Lightning Generals issued their challenge, one hero took special offense.
"Oh hell no! They did not just call out the Shadow Force by name!"
The offended hero was Nick Baker, also known as Shell-Shock, the hot-tempered enforcer of the Shadow Force. Never one to back down from a challenge, he immediately made plans to get to Death Valley and kick ass.
"Enjela, can you portal me to Death Valley?"

"Hold on, Uncle Nick," Julie said as she heard Sandra's telepathic messages, "the Phoenix is gathering the heroes together. You should enter with them instead of by yourself."
"Yeah, man, things didn't go well the last time you went off by yourself," said Michael Kearny, alias Sandstorm.
Nick clenched his fists, not liking to be reminded of his humiliating defeat at the hands of Hans Holbrook, codename Cybernator.
"Yeah, well, this time I'm going to prove that Scott isn't the only hero from Earth 1."
His old rivalry with Scott had never fully died, and he was hellbent on standing out in this war at least once.

With Enjela's help, he arrived where Sandra was coordinating the other champions.
"Make that six," he said as he stepped out of the portal.
Seeing Tiffany, he thought she was cute and gave her a handsome wink. Getting serious, he turned to Sandra with an official tone.
"Nick Baker, alias Shell-Shock, representing Earth 1's Shadow Force. I want to fight by your side."

A cocky smile appeared on his face.
"My energy blasts are no joke, and I'm used to working with a team, so I won't slow you down."
The heroes of HU Earth were very powerful, far more powerful than most of the beings who inhabited his Earth. Even so, he was not going to let their Earth be the only one to shine. He would fight without his team in this battle and he would win against the Lightning Generals. Such a thing would be expected from a member of Earth 1's mightiest superhero team.

Sandra did a quick mind check on the new arrival just to confirm he was on their side and to confirm his abilities.     She couldn't just take the man at his word alone.     Tiffany warped over to the man throwing herself into Nick's arms with a huge childlike smile.    "Yaa somebody new has arrived.    Can we be besties?"   Tiffany proceeded to lay her head against Nick's chest listening to heart beat.

Sandra chimed in "Sorry about that.    You'll have to forgive Tiffany, she's a little um... unique.    But don't let her personality fool you.    She's a lot stronger then she lets on.   Anyway if you in on this then so be it, but these enemies are going to require more then just powerful blasts."   Sandra sent another update to the rest of the heroes.    "Alright people we have six, a hero from Scott's Earth has joined our team.   We still need three to even the numbers."

Kano landed on the ground in front of the others just as a dark portal opened up, Riku and Jericho walking through. Riku paused and looked back, a third person walking through his portal. The person was of medium height and lean, wearing a black hoody, dirty ripped jeans, and old convers. They tossed the hood back, revealing their head to be wrapped in bandages with opening for their eyes and mouth " Yo "

Riku raised an eyebrow " Who the fuck are you and why should I not dismember you? "

The person opened their mouth and stuck out their tongue, on it was a tattoo of CB, signifying him as a code:breaker. Emmets energy signature was emanating from it, proving its authenticity " My name is....huuuuuh I dont remember......lets say Jack for now.....I may change it. Anyway I joined up pretty recently but then this stuff happened so Emmet wasnt able to announce me, i've been off.....dealing with the enemies, but he just told me I should meet up with you guys and that id enjoy it "

Riku looked the guy up and down, he was strong, really strong, but he couldnt place what the guy was, then something clicked. He'd seen this guy before, not now but on that alternate earth, his name had been G, he hadnt seen much of the guy, but it seemed this version of him had found his way to the code:breakers.

" Your a reaper " Jericho said abruptly, he'd been magically scanning him to decipher his nature " But not entirely I can sense......demon blood and.....angel blood? "

Jack smiled " Well yeah.....I guess I mean I like eating souls, their yummy, i've been gorging myself senseless since this invasion started and im ready for more. Havent gotten to taste any of these generals yet so let me in on the fun "

Riku starred at him for a moment and shrugged " Alright then Jacky boy welcome to the code:breakers, merry band of psychos and rogues, im Riku future mega super special awesome president, thats Jerry and Sandy, Sandy's daughter from five past marriages, and other people that arent code:breakers. You know what, take my spot, I feel like wreacking havoc and these jackasess brought there goons with them, perfect ingrediants for a spell I wanna cast "

Jack shook his head " Sweet, thank you, I think i'll fit in just fine, whats the policy on souls? "

" All of ours are off limits, everyone else? Go for the throat, any preferrences? "

" Nope! A soul is a soul, I dont descriminate, thats bad and not PC. I mean a nice soul dipped in goodness or a soul marrinating in evil, or something in between.... " he rubbed his stomache and drooled.

Riku nodded " Alright you I like, I can sense one other person so i'm heading out, good luck to the people I know and like " walked back through his portal, closing it.

Jack poked around in his hoody's pockets, searching for something. Once he found it, he puled out a very big and wicked looking scythe " Hmmmm alrighty im ready "

Eva saluted Luke " Thanks I feel honored to be included, under a temporary basis and not with letting anyone know about this as certain people I work with would see this as grounds to shade me severely " She could feel a build up of energy in the air, signaling the next incoming wave of demons " Lightning huh? " symbols began to appear on her skin, red electricty coursing across it " She took Lukes arm " Be a gent and escort a lady onto the battlefield? "

As Scott paved the way to the castle, the others walked behind him. Minerva was in awe at Scotts, it was quite something. Ku-Chan tapped her cheek " Here as promised, a cookie!! "

Minerva gratefully took the offered cookie, remarking that it was a bit on the big side, she took a bite and shivered, the flavor was extraordinary, took another bite, this time savoring the flavor.

" Yeah its from this bakery in San francisco called taste the vanilla, that name is everything " the shikigami floated over to Noah, landing on his head " And what about you? It's your turn up to bat, scared? "

" Not at all " Noah said distractedly as he checked all of the items he'd brought, it had been a long time since he was armed in such a way, as a warrior of the church, he still wasnt sure how to feel about it " It's no different then other mission weve had of late or what ive faced in the past. Just have to kill my opponent and make they stay dead "

Ku-Chan giggled " As expected from a former executioner of the church, cold blooded, calculating, always thinking of the kids! " he jumped out of the way of Noah's hand, landing back on the mans head " Just admit it "

Noah ignored him in favor of pulling out a bible and deftly pulling a few pages of it out for his black keys, another thing he hadnt used in awhile. Memories were starting to come to the surface, memories he'd rather not thing about.

Minerva finished her cookie and turned to Noan in curiousity " You were an executioner of the church? "

" Yes "

After a moment of silence Ku-Chan sighed and gave more detail " Yes, as someone who grew up in a magical family im sure youve heard some things about the church and their opposition/strained relations with mages association. Well within the church is the burial agency and iscariot, the churches kill squads pretty much. Tasked with killing and sealing vampires, demons, heretics and enemies of the church and our dear sweet approachable Noah was one, the best im sure "

"....I was the best " Noah said with faroff look " Every task the church gave me, I fufilled it without question or hesitation. No matter what it was, I a pious, zealous weapon and I was happy.....till they betrayed me and my father, treated as scapegoats to their crimes. But I dont exactly mind how things turned out now, I like where I am with the code:breakers. Its part of the reason I elected to come " he elected not to say that it was the sole reason he'd come and not say anything about his disenterest in nirvana or where else.

Minerva was a little startled, she had heard about the church, but her father had nothing good to say about it and the killers it had masquerading as holy men. Noah didnt really give her that vibe, that he was reliqious " Oh...I see "

" Ask me "

Everyone turned to Ashe who was looking at Noah " The questions youve been wanting to ask me since we first met "

Noah let out a breath " Alright, does our work matter to god? "

Ashe shrugged " I cant fully say as my connection to my father is not good, but from what I recall of him I would say no "

Noah nodded as if this confirmed something for him " thats to know, then do any of the things we use trully have his grace? "

" Not in a real sense, humanity has long since had an established idea of god in their minds and what it is capable of, holy power is manifestation of that idea. It doesnt directly come from my father, more so based on the idea of him. It can be said to be an elemental power, I sense that you are capable of tapping into it "

" One of the requirements for high ranking executioners, but I abandoned its use, I rejected this god and anything to do with him, but now I use these tools again " a smile started to form on his face " I kind of like that, more so that Im not fighting for some gods honor, but for the sake of killing something "

" That could be said to be the same thing " Ku-Chan pointed out as he handed Minerva another cookie " But I like your idea giving the big G the middle finger "

" I do as well " Ashe said after a moment he Noah extremely close to him, Noahs body glowed briefly " I imparted " Holy " onto you, will make your natural connection stronger without having to feed into some ideal "

Noah blinked " Oh, thank you " he could feel Ashe's arousal starting to grow from their close proximity " Uhh yeah later, after all this is done with " he kissed the guy in thank you who nodded and let him go, as they continued the walk, Noah fixed his gaze on the castle and thought about how nice it would be to tear it down.

And just when Sandra thought that Emmet's merry band couldn't get any stranger, this guy shows up. Her initial gut instinct was to despise this person, considering the last reaper like person she knew turned into one of her most bitter enemies for many years. But this guy checked out with Emmet and did seem somewhat amusing, she'd at least have to be fair and give this Jack a chance. "Well then, welcome to the team Jack."

Tiffany instantly got drawn to the newest member of the group. She teleported and latched onto Jacks back. "You look funny." She poked at his cheek trying to examine the bandage wrapping. "Oh I know, I'm gonna call you Mummy!"

Sandra sent out another message Well we have eight, assuming nobody here starts killing each other, then we only need one more.

Luke was a little impressed as he walked with Eva. "So you can sense what type of enemies we are to face next? That is quite the helpful ability."

Nick was surprised as Tiffany suddenly hugged him. He quickly deduced that despite having a grown woman's body, she had a child's mind and heart. When Shadow Force was not fighting crime, they often acted in a teaching or advisory capacity to Shadogreen students, many of whom were young children like Julie learning how to control their powers. Because of this, he was skilled in how to deal with kids.
"Sure, we can be besties, Tiffany," he said in an earnest way without being condescending.
He looked at Sandra as she explained about Tiffany and warned him about the strength of their opponents.

"I'll be careful," Nick replied with a patient smile, having gotten this kind of lecture from Scott, Madame Shadow, and Richard in the past.
Even though he was often lectured, every team still needed someone who was not afraid to punch through the front lines of enemy defenses like a cue ball in pool. For an aggressive type like Nick, this was a role he did very well. Even so, he still had room to grow when it came to one-on-one fighting, and so he hoped to work on that a little in this battle. Nick watched as tough customers showed up from elsewhere, and politely stifled a laugh as Tiffany bounded away and called Jack 'Mummy'. Since they were waiting on one more person, he introduced himself to the new people and then leaned against the wall with his arms crossed.

As Scott kept ahead of the group, Valor overheard what the others had to say about God.
Doesn't sound like the big guy we know, huh?
I guess somewhere in existence there's an alternate form of everyone, Valor.
He would share his experience with God and his role as the Destroyer with the team, but only after Noah defeated the Lightning Monarch. They were a little over halfway done with their mission, and there was little time to waste. Scott led them up the staircase to the castle courtyard, noting that Noah seemed far darker in soul now that he was heading into battle, but that wasn't unusual for a Codebreaker.

Once in the courtyard, a large pink and purple lightning strike revealed their beautiful and terrifying foe with skin and clothes in all different hues of those colors. Rather than being seductive like previous Queens, however, she seemed to be all business.
"Send out your chosen warrior."
She revealed large polearms that were attached to spinning blades, the pole part connected to sashes wrapped around her mid-section. They were ornately beautiful buzzsaw type weapons, good for offense and defense. The Lightning Queen fixed Scott with a death glare, making it clear that she wanted to tear him to pieces until there was nothing left.

As the group waited for their ninth fighter Sandra tried reaching out to the generals. "Hello generals of Hell. If you can hear me this is Phoenix, we've heard your proposed battle and the heroes of Earth accept. Soon as our ninth fighter arrives, we'll be right with you. Sandra didn't know how long these generals where willing to wait, but hopefully knowing the heroes are readying to confront them will stop them from doing anything potentially reckless within the next few moments.

Abby was happy Sandra was finally letting her help again, though it may partly be a move of necessity given all the fighters gathering around. But Abby couldn't be to mad, she was the closest thing to a daughter Sandra had left, Abby understood Sandra only wanted to protect her. Abby stood up and walked over to Nick, with a friendly smile she offered him a handshake. "Hello, I'm Abigail Fuller but most just call me Abby. It's nice to meet you."

" If you want, I can snap your neck in his direction, so you can look at him while I pull your insides out " Noah said casually as he pulled the large objoect he'd been carrying off his back and handed it to Ashe to hold on, saying he'd get it in time and started walking forward. Wrapping his rosary beads around both of his hands, he felt the nostalgia, these beads were the first things father Anderson gave to him at the start of his training and he'd kept them ever since. The blood of so many, demons and humans alike had soaked them, they felt like old friends that he hadnt seen in a long time and had purposefully avoided them.

In a bright burst of power, he'd donned his light armor and dropped into a fighting stance which showed traces of chinese origins " Is there anything else you'd like to say, the others, im not calling you monarchs, all seemed to have speeches, I despise them but it will fuel my desire to see you smeared across the ground " This was why he was here, to prove to himself that he could stand with the other code:breakers on top of a mountain of corpses and be worthy. He could feel a dull excitement being to rise, his beads felt warm and his body was practically vibrating.

" Noah-Chan is probably one of the fastest code:breakers, if not the fastest if you subtract emmet and sandra who can do phoenix stuff to increase their speed " Ku-Chan explained " His power is light, more geared towards the speed aspect of the element, he cant do fancy stuff like constructs but he more then makes up for it " pulling out a pair of pom poms he started cheering " Blood, blood, blood and guts, tear that bitch a new one let know her place!! "

" Yeah, its pretty popular at parties " Eva said as they walked together " Just a trick I picked up from my boss, it has its uses like in this shit show were dealing with, so Luke, tell me about yourself "

Tiffany suddenly felt nothing and fell to the floor, Jack having phases out of her hold. He looked down at her, his eyes glowing briefly " I dont know what game your play, but im not falling for your act " it was the first instance of his actually sounding serious, he turned away from her and started talking to Jericho " Oooh, a necromancer, Im undead but you can you not enslave me? "

" I'll think about it "

" Neat "

Tiffany pouted in disappointment. "Aww, but I like games." Tiffany hoped back to her feet and teleported back to Nick, latching onto his back piggyback style. "Guess who's back!!" She shouted in exciting, not grasping the concept that she piratically shouted into the mans ear.

Luke thought about Eva's question for a moment "I guess there isn't all that much to say. Born in Colorado I was a pretty typical boy. I was always naturally pretty built so I got involved in a number of sports teams in my school years, I guess the girls must of liked what they seen as it was no trouble to hook up a one night stand. I joined Genosha after my power started emerging, made some friends, and gained a lot of combat experience after joining the SXM team. Pretty boring childhood, your normal phat boy school years, and now a superhero which is definitely the most exciting part of my story."

Katy was curious now just how good Noah was. "You know I dunno if he's ever going to reach this level, but while Sandra can play around with time, warp around space, increase her strength and speed physically, even warp entire galaxies and such. I have seen quick enough enemies be able to keep up. Noah could certainly have the potential to get to those levels of speed with light as his power." While it certainly wasn't easy to match up people on the cosmic scale, it has been done in the past. So a fighter with light powers that focuses on the speed aspect of it, Katy would say Noah certainly had the possibility to get there. If he could muster the power to somehow take them down was a entirely different story, but speed, Katy could certainly see a light user getting up there.

"Of course I will Sandra. These demons fight war like ten year olds who just got done playing their first video game. Looks like we're on the lightning level." Roberta seemed frustrated wanting to get this over with soon. While she did seem to underscore the enemy's threat level it was obvious she took them seriously. The last fight brought out a form she tried not use often and the next fight would likely require it.

As they made it to the courtyard and the fighters were getting ready the sound of a bird's caw echoed overhead. Everyone looked up and could see a massive crow soaring above, flapping its massive wings, but this one seemed different. It was a dark midnight blue and anyone with superhuman vision could see that it had four eyes. The creature swooped down to the courtyard and on its back a woman jumped off landing near the group. Stood in front of them was a woman with cerulean blue skin, white hair and dark blue horns on her forehead. On her back six long tentacle like appendages stretched out with the same color of her horns.

"Hello I'm S rank superhero Tame from Super's Unite. Sorry I'm late, but I was sent to participate in this battle." She said while a little hesitant. Sandra could sense an immense psychic power coming from this woman, but the phoenix was clearly not present.

The Lightning Generals heard Sandra's telepathic message, and the first to become a General among them, Ganona, answered her back with her own telepathic abilities.
We will wait for you heroes as long as it takes. We desire your defeat for the glory of Lightning Hell.
After the contact was broken off, all of the other Generals looked at her until one spoke.
"Can you defeat the Phoenix, General Ganona?"
"It is my duty to win or die trying," she replied, reflecting Hell's culture of victory or death with nothing in between.

Nick smiled as Abby came over and introduced herself.
"I'm Nick Baker, codename Shell-Shock. It's nice to meet you, Abby."
He shook her hand and wondered about her connection to Sandra, since it seemed like she had one but he wasn't sure of what kind. He had no sooner let go of his hand when Tiffany suddenly latched onto his back and practically screamed in his ear so loudly that he winced.
"Ow...Hello again, Tiffany."

The old Nick would have thrown Tiffany across the room, but he was much more patient now. Aside from that, it wasn't practical for allies to potentially hurt each other right before a big battle. Everyone was suddenly moved out into the courtyard, and Nick watched as a great raven swooped toward them before disappearing as a woman who was clearly a mutant landed in front of them. She introduced herself as Tame, saying she was from Super's Unite, which he guessed was the same organization as the HA. Given her rank, it seemed that she was one of the best that their organization had to offer, so he felt even more confident in their victory with her on their side. His thoughts were interrupted as he started to feel Tame's immense psychic power coming off of her in waves.

Whoa...This kind of power is just like Siren and Sandra. If Julie keeps up her training, I wonder if she'll be this powerful as an adult?
"I'm Nick Baker, codename Shell-Shock, of Earth 1's Shadow Force. This is Tiffany, and I'm not sure what her codename is or what outfit she's with."
He looked back at Tiffany and smiled, thankful that her childish antics helped ease some tension. No matter how goofy she acted, he could sense her strength and knew that she would be helpful in this rumble, too.

The Lightning Queen completely ignored Noah and continued boring a hole into Scott. If looks could kill, she'd be drilling into his brain through his forehead.
"Crusader, it would be an honor to fight you. Killing you would make me the greatest of the Monarchs on Lord Satan's council."
Scott shook his head while seeming to look through her.
"Your fight is with Noah, the man who has been trash talking you until now."

"He is unworthy. There would be nothing lost or gained for me whether I won or lost a fight with him. If I lose, I'm just another powerful demon he killed. If I win, he's just another bitter ex-church killer fallen to the darkness. His soul is corrupt and dark, while yours still glows with purity and light. I want your head, Crusader, and will fight no one else."

"Then I propose a challenge," Scott said, thinking quickly.
"Name your terms."
"I will give you ten attacks. If even one can so much as touch me, I will fight you. If not one connects, you fight Noah."
"I accept your terms," the Lightning Queen said after thinking it over.

"Then the fight has already started."
The Lightning Queen lashed out with a flurry of attacks, launching ten in a microsecond. However, Scott shimmered like a mirage in the desert and dodged every single one so quickly that he could have ordered a pizza, had it delivered, and eaten it before the attacks even arrived within range. The Lightning Queen grit her teeth in anger and finally turned to Noah.
"Fine, former lackey of God, I will face you."
She moved away and took her own stance with her knees bent and her hands firmly on her weapons, waiting for Noah's first move.

Sandra welcomed the newcomer to their group. "Welcome Tame. I'm Sandra, the Phoenix. Along with Nick and Tiffany we have Jack, Jericho, Kano, Roberta and Abby." She gestured towards each as she said their name. "I can feel a great phychic power from you, if you have the skill to back it up then I'm sure we'll be in good hands. Now sorry to cut introductions so short, but our guests are waiting us."

In the next instant everybody found themselves in the Death Valley desert, face to face with the with the new patch of demon generals. "Alright we're hear." Sandra said. A little surprisingly these generals actually waited around for them, Sandra didn't trust most demons outside the likes of Riku obviously, so that's why she was in a rush to her fighters and get here.

"God damn, this chick got one hateful boner towards Scott" Katy said as the Queen and Noah got set to face off. Katy wondered if anybody would catch on to the Team Four Star reference, with Yamcha saying Tien had a hate boner for Vegeta.

Noah dropped out of his stance and  rubbed his forehead, feeling the beginnings of a massive headache forming, not even bothering to watch the challenge take place. Ku-Chan was less then thrilled and shook his pom poms angrilly " Hey!! Who the fuck do you think you are? Beyonce? the fuck? Get your lop sided ass back over here and face this pedo bear priest!! "  Minvera held onto it to keep it from launching itself at the lightning queen.

Minerva too felt a little annoyed that the lightning queen was ignoring Noah when this fight seemingly meant a lot to him, but thankfully Scott sent her back to her actual opponent.

Noah ignored the lightning queen for a good five minutes before he finely turned around, his face a tight smile of pure and utter exasperation " Oh? Are you finished? I wouldnt want to interupt all the prime dick sucking your doing, You sychophantic fan, i'd call you the president of his fan club but thats probably Satan given all the oral attention the other monarchs have given and what the remaining ones will do "

Ku-Chan gasped " OMG such a clapback from him? Magnificent Katy you get half a point for that comment, we appreciate the team four star reference but dbz gets thrown around a little too much around here, good line though "

Noahs light armor pulsated as his annoyance grew, he dropped into another fighting stance " Honestly I doubt your worthy to face me, ex lackey of the church or not,  you said my soul is corrupt and dark, I dont mind that for the church is where it began! " Black keys in each hand, he vanished, becoming invisible to the naked as he launched an attack at the lightning queen from every possible angle.

Tamers arrival completed the team for this battle, Jericho was eager to get it started, he settled on a staff made of a black wood, it was from an ancient tree that had been struck by one of Zeus's lightning bolts and retained it's form, it was perfect for the upcoming foes.As they arrived at death valley where the demons were waiting, he cast a series of spells and informed Sandra their appeared to be no traps present " These demons are strangely honorable, seemingly anyway "

jack had started salavating again, his stomache growled loudly " Wow, what a buffet, can we start eating, I killing them now? I call the souls!, oh you want their bodies right? " he asked Jericho who shrugged

" Just one will do "

Eva listened, it was a rathr boring story, no spice or scandals. It was strangely endearing and most importantly was he liked one noght stands, that was the information she wanted " So, no Mrs Metal in the picture? "

Tame stared at the lightning Queen examining her attacks. Before she could really even think about it her stomache growled, but it happened at the same time jack's did. She looked around nervously hoping the reaper's growl covered hers. Eating demons probably wasn't very healthy.

She decided to focus on something else like the information she was given on the people here. Her mind wondered who was more blood thirsty between them and the demons? The famed phoenix Sandra, Demi God Kano, powerful necromancer and many others here seemed like overkill. Even the demon attacking Scott didn't seem overly quick compared to what she knew about her allies.

"Mr. Wayne wasn't wrong about who he thought would be here."

"Not anymore" Luke simply replied, implying he had a girl at one point but something happened. It seemed pretty clear to him the girl was trying to put the moves on him since they met, asking about his relationship status just cemented all the more. After all this time he'd come to accept that he had to move on with life, and to be honest this Eva was certainly a fine looking girl. However he wasn't entirely sure how hooking up with a vampire would play out.

Tiffany was just cheerful skipping around the heroes group making a circle in the sand, Sandra had already pointed out to here these demons was the bad guys, so she was passing some time until everybody was ready to fight, or rather play as she would see it.

The runic marking had appeared on Abby's skin once again, the first time in a while now since Sandra made her sit out the last fight. Abby had already started a few enchantments ahead of the battle to prep herself.

Sandra was waiting to see if the demons would strike first. She thanked Jericho on the clarification of there being no traps, where these demons really just looking for a straight up clean fight. "I hear you Jericho, quite the surprising start to this."

Katy replied back with "Welllll, technically speaking Ku-Chan, TFS is fanart and not actually DBZ, but alright, I'll dial it back a little." Watching on the battle was now starting and Noah wasted no time it seems, already moving faster then Katy could see.

The Lightning Queen showed no reaction to Noah's taunts and posturing. Not only had she heard far worse from the other Monarchs (cat fights among Demon Queens were legendary), she had already pegged him as a big talker and knew that those kind of people were usually weak. His initial attack did nothing to make her think otherwise. Being a high-level demon she could easily track his movements, especially since he was leaving a spiritual trail. When the Black Keys came at her, she identified them as made of spiritual energy and flared her Corrupted Lightning Aura long enough to stop them in mid-air and destroyed them with her lightning channeling. Fixing her gaze on the spiritual trail he was leaving, she attacked it with a lightning bolt and caused lightning to chase him through his own spiritual energy. He would have to react to this quickly, and in that very window of time that he was not focusing all of his attention on her, she would strike. Noah would regret underestimating her.

Nick looked over at Jack and Jericho.
"Don't waste your time. You can't resurrect them, and you can't control or eat their bodies or souls. These beings belong only to Satan and will in no way exist elsewhere. After they die, they will reincarnate after so long. The only thing that can be done to these souls is to purify them, but it takes a lot to wrest them away from their creator; only Chiang and Scott can do it as far as I know."

Nick turned to Tiffany.
"Be careful out there. I don't doubt your strength, but I don't want you hurt, either."
The nine champions of Earth stood shoulder-to-shoulder, as did Ganona and her eight subordinate Generals. The Generals drew their buzz-saws, though each only had one apiece, unlike their Queen. Holding them like rifles, they shot toward their opponents at great speed, spinning their buzz-saws as they did.

Nick and the others charged at them in return, and they met in the middle. Nick's fists glowed with energy, and he reacted quickly as he saw the buzz-saw come for his head. Flaring up his energy fist, it deflected the buzz-saw, which created an opening for him to sock his General across the jaw with the other hand. Stepping on the long buzz-saw handle so that she could not immediately raise it back up, he began laying into her with a flurry of boxing style punches. Grabbing her head in the Muay Thai plum, he also brought her face down into his knee again and again. By all appearances, he was kicking her ass in a big way.

However, appearances can be deceiving. Shell-Shock's mutant energy was augmenting his blows enough that he could hurt the Lightning General, but not that much. With her incredible durability, she tanked his blows and pulled up on her weapon with all of her strength, flinging Nick off and almost cutting his skull in half. As he was flung backwards, though, Nick aimed his hand between his legs and fired a powerful energy blast into her face. The blow was enough to make her take a step back, which allowed Nick the chance to land on one hand and spring backwards off of it to his feet in a boxing stance. Covering his whole body in energy, he stood and traded with the Lightning General, dodging her buzz-saw blade and hitting her in every open spot he could, trying to use Scott's martial arts lessons to the fullest.

One of the generals took a slice at Tiffany hitting the ground as the girl vanished. The general looked around frantically noticing right away something was off about this girl, as she'd goes completely undetectable to her. The lightning general turns around to look behind her and immediately gets smacked in the forehead by a shoe. The strangest thing about it, stranger then the attack itself was that it actually hurt, leaving a red mark on the generals forehead where impact occurred. A now barefoot Tiffany stood some 30 feet away still with a second shoe in hand. "I have toys as well Ms. Axe"

Of course Tiffany would mistake a buzzsaw for a axe. Energy seemed to line Tiffany's second shoe and she tossed it. The lightning general was sure to dodge it this time though the shoe seems to disappear mid flight, reappearing instantly to strike the lightning general a second time in the forehead, almost like the shoe had been teleported or warped in some way to connect to it's target instantly. Although the mark on the general's forehead was even more red now, she was still standing. Tiffany stood on one leg reaching for another shoe only to realize she only had two. Putting her foot down she frowned, throwing shoes was fun. Looking at the general she spoke up "hey can I borrow those shoes, I promise I'll give them back."

Abby was glade she done a few enchantments before hand to boost her physical attributes, she needed it as she narrowly avoiding multiple buzzsaw strikes, being pretty sure her hair was getting a trim in this battle. Once she had a opening Abby used her vectors to drill the lightning general in the stomach and send her flying. This allowed Abby a brief second to make another enchantment, opening portals all around that would multiple her vectors by the dozens. She sent them all forward looking for a head stab on the lightning general.

The first thing Sandra had tried on Ganona was freezing her time and stabbing her in the head, however as Sandra went to stab the psionic blade forward, Ganona reached up grabbing the Phoenix wrist and stopping the attack just she of it's target. This caught Sandra off guard as all the demons up till now had been weak to time manipulation. Sandra elongated her blade, she knew it'd be to slow and miss but it served the purpose of getting Ganona to release Sandra's arm as the demon evaded getting stabbed through the skull. "So you've adopted to that attack strategy. Well, don't go thinking you've won this yet because of that." Sandra realized that this general might take a bit more effort to put down then the previous ones.

Noah vanished, the lightning bolt instantly shattering a moment. He appeared some distance away, the irratation finally gone and his facial expression serious, his first attack had been to test the water and gleam some information. She was indeed strong, not as strong as the opponents he had to face yesterday, but still formidable. He could make more black keys, but it didnt appear that they would be any good in the battle, since she seemed able to track the spiritual energy signature. Hmm she was also able to see through his movements, though seeing and actually keeping up were entirely different matters, he hadnt come close to his top speeds yet. He'd faced many lightning based demons and mages for that matter so he knew what to expect with her abilities and weapon usage.

He adopted another fighting style, reminescent of shaolin kung-fu and renewed his attack, rushing straight at the lightning queen only to veer sharply to the left, leaving behind an afterimage. From his fist erupted blast of light with the force of a shotgun straight at the lightning queen.

As opposed to standing shoulder to shoulder with the others, Jericho stood off behind them, arcane energy coursing through the air and ground beginning to crack " Maybe in your world " was all Jericho said, he'd controlled and animated various things and saw nothing of these generals that would impede his magic, but as he looked further he saw more and was gradually losing interest, there was nothing spectacular about them to say he'd really gain anything if he did reanimate one.

Grimm twirled his scythe " Ha, to tell a reaper that he cant claim a soul, they live and thereare are beholden to the everpresent one " he spoke ominously before grinning broadly " Oh, I changed my name to Grimm, I thing it suits me better, Jack Grimm at your service " his salivating had stopped however and his grin twisted into a horrible sight " Such filth....their souls lack any spice or flavor, such ddisgusting things must he cast into oblivion!! "

As the battle began Grimm's scythe clashed with the generals weapon and the two traded blows, Grimm grinning the whole while. One of the generals attacks got around his body and passed right through him, leaving him unharmed. He moved with lightning speed to cleave the general in half, but she avoided his attack and moved to attack him again, but Grimm stopped her by pointing down. Her weapon was showing signs of rapid decay, making Grimm laugh " Thats going to be you in.....hmm....five minutes "

Kano side stepped the lightning generals attack and countered with a quick bash of his hammer, suprisingly the general wasnt completely mashed, a testament to it's durability " You dare much to face the son of thor, I shall teach you what lightning can really do! " the skys above grew dark, and lightning danced across the sky. A massive bolt of lightning came crashing down from the sky. Drawing a mystical rune, Kano reached out and grabbed the bolt, charging it with his godly energys " Come and meet your demise! " he dual wielded Mjolnir and the massive lightning bolt.

One of the generals noticed Jericho standing off to the side, the one person to not go charging into the fray. Taking him for a coward and weakling, she flew straight at him, but paused as she felt her life force being siphoned away rapidly, pulling back on her attack at the last moment. The ground exploded as large armored death knights came marching out, wielding great swords, their skeletal faces covered by helmets. Five in total, they all floated into the air via a flying spells and attacked the lightning general with great savagery.

Hmm, I smell a past love that didnt end very well Eva thought. That could make or break this, if he's still hung up on this chick or not. Eva wasnt a mind reader, but she did get certain feelings about people. From Luke she could feel he was aware of her interest in him and somewhat reciprocated it, but her being a vampire was hanging there. She smiled slightly, she'd been through this before, men were pretty divided on the whole screwing a vampire thing, some were down with it and some pointed out the whole necrophillia aspect, she just had to swing Luke to the right side.

" I see, my dating lifes been ehh for the last few years " decades but he didnt need to know that " Just cant seem to find the right guy that can handle a woman like me " she could feel the next wave of demons getting closer and was midly annoyed at them interupting her trying to get some.

"I'm sorry" Luke said listening to Eva talk about her troubled dating life. "I imagine it must be difficult being a vampire. I mean how is a man, or if you swing that way a woman, supposed to know if you want to be with them out of genuine affection, or if you are just seducing them for... lets say other means." By that he meant to feed on them. Luke had met a number of vampire over the years, and rarely was they ever good people. So having some trust issues, if not just for the general reputation vampires have, should not be a unexpected occurrence on Eva's end.

The Lightning Queen noticed the change in her opponent, recognizing that he was ready to fight for real. It became apparent that he was able to move at great speed, so much so that he could create afterimages. The afterimage fooled her eyes and made it possible for him to score a direct attack to her face with his light energy. Such pure spiritual energy smarted, but it was not a pain that affect her greatly. Thousands of years of combat with new demons and hellborn alike can make a body extraordinarily tough, and combined with her own abilities as an Archdemon, it would take a more powerful attack to hurt her. However, even with the durability to withstand his blows, she still had a problem with being able to hit him.

The Lightning Queen smiled as she realized the solution to her problem.
"Those strong with spiritual energy have a unique way of fighting in this universe, so that it is a clash on a spiritual as well as a physical level. Chiang no doubt taught Crusader this method, so now let me teach it to you."
The four corners of Lightning Hell formed a huge cube of purple solid energy, and that cube started to retract while also shielding the Lightning Queen from any of Noah's attacks.
"You have a choice, Noah. You can either fight me within this cage, putting yourself at a huge disadvantage since you will lose most of your speed and spiritual energy...Or you can choose to escape it and attempt to break it with your strongest attacks, trusting that your power will outlast mine."

Scott clenched his fists, as this fight was quickly turning against Noah.
"Noah would be wiser not to fight her within her aura, as he would only have a 25% chance at best of winning. Outside of the aura, he'll have access to all of his abilities and weapons. After she locks her aura with him inside of it, he'll be unable to get to the weapon that he left with Ashe. Outside of her aura, he'll have a 50% of winning if he can gather enough power to break the aura and then her. He's going to have to give it everything he's got after that aura locks in place."


Nick had continued to fight with the Lightning Queen, his persistence paying off. Kicking away the buzz-saw blade as it came at his midsection, he punched her across the face with his right hand, turned with it and drove his elbow into her solar plexus with his left elbow, before following that up with an uppercut with his right hand that knocked her into the air and onto her back.
Oh yeah, a three-hit combo. Suck it, bitch!
Not wasting a moment, Nick mounted her wrestling style and headbutted her hard in the nose with his head to stun her. From there, he started laying into her face with vicious vertical elbow strikes, not going to risk giving her a chance to get back up and fight again.

If this was a fight between mortals, Nick would have been the clear victor, but fighting immortals is never that simple. The Lightning General raised her hands and pierced his midsection on both sides with vicious spear finger strikes. Given her demonic strength and claws, she could literally rip Nick in half right now. However, no matter the pain or suffering, the iron will that came with his training would never allow him to give up. Nick grabbed her hands, screaming in pain and rage as he pulled them out with great effort.
"I won't die...that easily..."

Nick punched down on her stomach and fired a powerful blast through it, leaving a massive hole there. Getting off of her, he clutched his side as she writhed in pain.
"These Demon Generals are no joke, she would have torn me in half had I been slower."
Using his energy, he cauterized his wounds to avoid using more blood and wrapped his sides with bandages found in his belt.
"I guess it's more blasting and less martial arts from here on in."
He began firing powerful energy blasts into the Lightning General, hoping to keep her from rising again.

The Lightning General facing Tiffany was completely baffled, having not expected to be...could you even call it being attacked? She almost burst out laughing as the girl actually asked to borrow her shoes so that she could throw them at her. She couldn't possibly be serious, could she?
"If you want something of mine, you can have this buzzsaw!" she shouted, putting emphasis on the word since she had mistakenly called it an axe.
Flying at Tiffany, she began swinging the weapon quickly with skill. Though Tiffany seemed strange, her ability to warp without detection made her dangerous, and she would need to be stopped as quickly as possible.

The Lightning General fighting Abby was surprised by the ferocity of her vectors. Being under attack from several angles put her on the move constantly, so she closed the distance and tried to get at Abby herself. However, the vectors continually shielded her and made it a fight to survive. For every vector that her buzzsaw destroyed, another took its place.
"Interesting, a war of attrition, then. Even if I can't get close to you, you can't hurt me, and I'll just have to wait until you're tired before I come slice you up."

Ganona smirked after Sandra said that this fight wasn't over.
"Indeed, this fight is just getting started."
She flowed with an intense purple aura and surrounded Sandra and herself with a purple cube.
"Within this arena, your Phoenix powers, telepathy, and physical strength are much reduced in their potency. Where as your powers grow weaker in here, I get much stronger and faster."
Ganona started to warp around, attacking so quickly and viciously that Sandra wouldn't have an easy time fighting back. With her cosmic powers, she could escape the cube, but it would be very challenging to get Ganona out and hurt her again. Unknowingly, she was having the same problem as Noah, both finding themselves in a position where no matter what they did, the battle would not be easy.

The Lightning General fighting Grimm looked down with amusement at her weapon.
"Oh, you think so, reaper? Your kind is a little harder to kill than our usual targets, but just a little."
Tossing her weapon aside, she summoned a fresh one that shined with spiritual energy.
"Once I channel my power into it, your reaper powers can no longer affect it, and I can also hurt you. You reapers should stick to collecting the souls of the dead, as your kind have no place in battle."
The Lightning General attacked Grimm, being much more dangerous than before. Grimm would now realize that the Lightning General was a threat to him that needed to be taken seriously.

The Lightning General grinned as Kano came after her with a lightning bolt.
"You're going to use lightning against a lightning demon? You fool!"
Knocking aside his hammer, she grabbed the lightning and began tethering her own evil into it.
"Your electricity allows me a pathway to your soul!"
The two began to struggle, with the Lightning General holding back Kano's weapons and fighting against him with incredible will.

The Lightning General realized that Jericho's necromancy would have to be dealt with differently than his flying death knights as she completely destroyed them.
"Wizards are a bit tricky, but your necromancy and magic will only take you so far. As this battle drags out and you tap deeper into that abyss you draw them from, it will take a toll on whatever's left of your mortal soul. I simply have to be more patient than you, after all, since I am an immortal, I have nothing but time."
The Lightning General sheathed her weapon and coated herself in a cube of energy that would be impenetrable to Jericho's spells and weaponry. The battle had become a chess match, with the more patient and calculating being the one who would win.

Far away from this battlefield, on the HU verse's Genosha, two New Demons had appeared within the school. Rather than to cause any trouble, however, they simply wanted to escape the fighting.
"Man, those Lightning Generals are crazy, man. Challenging those heavy hitters to a fight? That's a nowhere scene, man."
"All of these damn Hellborn are too unchill, man!"

These two New Demons were Ricky and Milo, basically the Cheech and Chong of Valorverse Hell. Their only infraction was being potheads, which as it turned out actually was the Devil's Lettuce. Having no desire to become warriors, they had fled Hell and were now surprised to see it come to Earth.
"Man, let's just kick back and smoke."
Sitting down in two chairs belonging to the SXM, they started rolling blunts before firing them up. As the smoke rose into the air, the two relaxed and hoped that this stronghold of human warriors would be safe from the invading demons.

Tiffany jumped back avoiding a few slashes of the saw but the general was quickly able to line up a direct hit, which fazed through Tiffany as her afterimage started fading away. A second later a pair of legs landed on the generals shoulder. Tiffany cheerfully called out "tag! Your it." The general made a move to get Tiffany off her shoulders which caused Tiffany to lean back and inadvertently catch the general in a Frankenstiener (or a reversed Hurricanrana if you rather imagine it that way). Somehow able to roll though after flipping the general over and onto the ground, Tiffany now sat mounted on the general not unlike Nick was moments ago. Still with that clueless, innocent smile plastered on her face no less. It was like this was all just a game to her.

At a stand still Abby took the opportunity to start casting more enchantments, as seen in previous battle strange markings again started to appear on the visible parts of Abby's body. "You'll die before that happens" Abby's vectors start multiple even more as more portals open up, they all start striking much harder and hitting considerably faster. Abby's magical presence was spiking greatly as the general started getting hit, still managing to avoid direct hits, barely, Abby's attack was leaving scratches, cuts and grazes on the generals body. However the general realized the tide was turning, they had went from a stale mate to the general now taking minor damage as she narrowing avoided direct hits, and Abby's power was continuing to rise meaning her vectors would only get stronger, faster, and probably even multiple even more. The situation was turning dire, the general needed a way to stop Abby, and stop her now.

Ganona wasn't wrong, her power and speed had spiked considerably. Even warping around herself it was proving harder to keep pace, however she was still managing. Despite the battle and psionic blades clashing with buzzsaws constantly, Sandra was still able to access the cage. "A decent trap, but I've been in worse. This cage can't contain me, and once I'm free and back at full power, I see no reason I wouldn't be able to destroy this." Sandra and Ganona met in another stale mate with their respective weapons clashing, even with her powers hindered the Phoenix, abit with a bit more effort then the last time they clashed, was still keeping her own against the demon.

Noah was standing just beyond the perimeter of the lightning queens cage, he didnt respond to the lightning queens talk. He looked down at his hands, specifically the rosary beads wrapped around his hands, they were glowing and vibrating. He took a breath and began reciting a prayer, as he did this he moved his arcs in whide arcs till a crimson energy flared up in front of him and took the form of a cross as tall as him. He extended his arms out, continuing the prayer, the beads were glowing brighter and brighter.

Minerva could feel goosebumps forming on her arms " I can feel a lot of energy coming, from the beads in his hands "

Ku-chan, from his perch on Ashes head, was doing a highly choreographed cheer routine " Eww I can sense a lot of holy energy, whats he doing Ashey boy? "

" From what I can tel, those beads have had so much faith and blood poured into them that they have somewhat gained conscousness and the concept of taking in sin or demonic power "

The cross was starting to grow larger, climing and expanding up, Noah did not falter in his prayers, the familiarity pushing him on. The cross had grown to the size of a skyscraper, having been influnced by not only the wind queen, but hell itself. Noahs knees were startng to buckle as the strain of began to mount. He had never seen the cross grow to such a size, he doubt any of the people who used the beads before him had. Fortifying his resolve, he aimed an open palm strike at the construct and sent it racing towards the wind queen.

The lightning general felt immense pain spreading through their body the longer they hold contact with kano " You presume much, demon! " Kano's voice thundered as started overpowering the general, Mjolnirs power and blasted the general back with a god blast " If you think you dominate the king of Asgard, ive had my soul mettled with by beings of greater standing and i've had enough of it! " ruins began to cover his body as he started walking forward, the massive lightning bolt was converted into divine energy and reshaping into a spear. The ground shook across the battlefield as he roared a war cry and crashed mjolnir into the generals chest and releashed a massive god blast.

" 4 minutes and fourty eight seconds " Grimm said in a sing song tone he soared backwards as the general came towards him with greater strength then before " Ahh, nothing quite brings out the zest for life in a person like the thought of their impending death " He swung his scythe to clash with general again, but this time was pushed back. It did indeed seem like this creatures spiritual power thwarting him.

He looked down nonplushed as slash appeared across his chest. He slashed the air, tearing up a gash in space and sending his scythe through it.  He flatted his hands and attempted to dodge the generals attack, only being half success as more cuts appeared on his body. He got a few hits in, his hands as sharp as the blade.

" You dont know much about reapers if you think we simply collect and ferry souls to here and there, but that is the bane of immortals, complete ignorance of her greatness "
Something pierced the generals shoulders, giving Grimm an opening, his hands phased through the generals chest causing rapid decay to spread across their body " The more you damage my body, the more death you let out, so please keep that aura going, cling to life as long as you can! "

He flew backwards, narrowly avoiding another attack. His scythe was hovering high above the them, the bottom of it's hilt smoking from firing a bullet. It appeared back in Grimms hands " Three minutes left "

Jericho starred at the general for a moment, scanning it's field then started a lengthy incantation. While he was doing this an undead giant giant rose up out of the ground, looming over the battlefield. . Opening it's barely hanging on jaws wide, it vomited a torrent of acid and undead rats onto the general.

The Lightning Queen watched as Noah channeled an incredible amount of holy will power into a construct of the cross, the symbol of Christianity, one of many things anathema to her kind. Despite her incredibly power, even she had to feel slightly nervous in the face of such an attack. When the attack began coming her way, she realized that she would have to get serious. As it was right now, that cross construct would blow through her aura and take her down with it. In order to prevent that from happening, she would have to meet it with corrupt power equal to or greater than that cross. For a demon of her status and power, that was no problem at all.

The Lightning Queen unleashed her demonic power, raising it quickly in practically no time at all. When the cross met the power of her evil, there was a great struggle and a crackling of energy. The light turned blinding and then there was a great explosion as the energies cancelled each other out. When the light faded, the Lightning Queen pressed the switches to rotate the saw blades on her weapons.
"You were strong for a mortal, but not strong enough!!!"
The Lightning Queen flew at Noah, aiming to cut him to pieces while he was still recovering from the after effects of launching the attack and being blinded.

The Lightning General fighting Tiffany was becoming highly pissed with her. It was clear that despite how she acted, she was incredibly strong and would need to be fought seriously.
"Begone!"
The Lightning General flared up with her aura, tossing Tiffany back before going after her with a vengeance. While she still was not having an easy time of it, her power was now at a cosmic level and Tiffany was not easily able to avoid her either. It was a strange battle, but one with Tiffany's life on the line even if she did not realize it.

Nick panted after launching close to one hundred blasts, hoping beyond hope that he had seriously wounded or even killed the Lightning General. However, his hopes were dashed as she rose and dusted herself off like nothing had happened.
"Oh give me a fucking break!"
"What did you expect, puny mutant? You're hardly strong enough to compete with me."

If the Lightning General had intended to kill Nick's will to battle through these words, then she had seriously miscalculated her word choice. Nick grit his teeth, his fists clenched, and his eyes went dark with rage. He had been through too many challenges, too much growth, and too much progress over the years to ever be considered weak, and he would not be talked down to by anyone!
"I don't give a damn how strong you are! I was the second strongest in my entire class and pushed myself harder than almost anyone."
His face turned cold and calm, the most dangerous kind of focused rage.

"There was only one man I could never beat..."
An image of a smiling Scott popped into his mind.
"...And he's a hell of a lot stronger than you are!"
Nick charged at the Lightning General and began fighting with savage ferocity. Even though the Lightning General wasn't hurt much by his blows, she still had a difficult time keeping back this highly-trained and experienced warrior. She finally managed to land a punch across his jaw that knocked him back, but Nick seemed to have absorbed it quite nicely. Nick ran his fist across his wounded jaw and spit out some blood. Even though he was highly-motivated and fighting close to his best, he would definitely need some help to kill this annoying bitch.

As Abby continued attacking with her vectors, the Lightning General grew tired of the game.
"Your powers are interesting but far from dangerous when I fight seriously."
The Lightning General flared up with her Corrupted Aura and the vectors couldn't even touch her now. They were like spitballs on a tank, completely useless. The Lightning General strode forward calmly, spinning her buzzsaw blade. She wanted to create fear within Abby and then butcher her mercilessly.

Ganona smirked at Sandra's confidence.
"Oh, you think it will be that simple?"
The aura cage locked in place, and now it would be difficult to escape.
"You're not the first being I've fought who thought that my aura was a pushover. Every god, cosmic being, archangel, and even other powerful demon who opposed me in this aura all spoke just like you. Every single one of them died, underestimating how powerful over one million years of the same fighting style can make someone."

Ganona's weapon clashed with Sandra's, her face never wavering from the calm expression.
"I'll admit that you're exceptionally powerful for a cosmic being. The Phoenix is no joke. However, there is more to combat than just pure power. You have not lived for as long as I have, and my skill and experience far and away dwarf's yours."
Her weapon clashed with Sandra's again and again, her strength growing greater each time as Sandra's strength continued to weaken.

"Struggle all you want, it will make no difference in the end. What do you think you can try that I haven't seen before? You gods and cosmic beings are all consistent in your arrogance, believing that your power will be enough to defeat any foe. That arrogance makes you complacent, makes you overconfident that you'll never face an opponent that will give you a genuine challenge. From the day I was created I had to fight to survive, and one million years later I am strong enough to face the Phoenix in combat. Always pushing yourself to greater heights is the way we get stronger in my universe, and that way will always trump the complacent beings that had power handed to them from the start and never believed they could be defeated!"
Ganona began attacking Sandra ruthlessly, forcing her into constant combat that would wear away at her ebbing strength and give her little opportunity to try and escape.

When the dust settled from Kano's attack, he would find the Lightning General completely unharmed, her aura having absorbed the attacks and locked around him while he wasn't looking. The Lightning General had played to Kano's arrogance and he had fallen for it completely.
"It is you that presume much, King of Asgard. You assumed that I was much weaker than you thought, and let your guard down. You gods are all the same, complacent and arrogant in your power, never believing that skill and experience are greater than power. You are trapped in my aura now, and I will kill you like every other god that underestimated me."

Her weapon clashed with Kano's hammer.
"Do you know how many gods I've faced that were just like you? So many that I've lost count. You trusted your eyes over your instincts and it led you to make a foolish mistake. All of your godly power will slowly drain from you while mine will only increase. Die regretting your foolish arrogance, King of Asgard!"
She began fighting with strength incalculable, forcing the man who had seemed in control of the battle to constantly fend off vicious and astoundingly powerful attacks as his power was drained from him.

The Lightning General smiled in amusement at Grimm's overconfidence.
"Oh, three minutes? You sure about that?"
The Lightning General flared up with her aura but did not attempt to trap Grimm within it. She didn't feel a being of his power would need such a measure to defeat.
"It gives me great satisfaction to know that you will never claim my soul even if you win. The lady you serve pales in comparison to Lord Satan, so spare me your pointless talks about her 'greatness'."

The Lightning General flared up with her aura, neutralizing his anti-life forces.
"Your power of death is impressive, but I fear it has made you complacent. You believe so strongly in this power always carrying you through to victory that you have neglected your skill and fighting experience. Will you speak so confidently when your greatest power proves useless before me?"
The Lightning General attacked Grimm ruthlessly, her weapon clashing with his time and again. The pendulum had now swung the other way in their battle, and it was now a contest of skill and discipline.

The Lightning General looked with amusement upon Jericho's latest summoning.
"Interesting, that's a higher level summon than before."
After it was done with its attack, she sliced it in half and her aura destroyed the rats.
"It seems that there was nothing to fear from you, after all."
Her aura flared up at full strength and she went after Jericho with a vengeance, slicing at him furiously. The champions of Earth who had seemed on the verge of a total victory before were now being counterattacked, and it was anyone's guess how this battle royale would end.


Alan watched the battle royale from Solaris, studying the battle intently.
"This is truly an interesting battle. The most powerful of this Earth's champions are rarely on the back foot, so they will have to learn how to fight effectively at a disadvantage. On the other hand, the Generals of Lightning Hell are so sure of their foe's arrogance that they themselves have become arrogant and closed their minds to all possibilities. Whoever has the stronger mind will be the victor of this battle, and I hope that it is our allies."
Watching once more in silence, his eyes never blinked so as not to miss a second of the action.

These foes where stronger then Abby thought, she knew she couldn't keep this up forever and had to end this soon. Casting further enchantments Abby dug even deeper into the well, her eyes started glowing white as her power increased even more, the markings on her body started glowing white as well. This move was probably going to be frowned upon, hopefully it wouldn't piss off the angels in LA to much. Abby's portals start to glow a crimson infused white as it seems Abby was looking to tap into holy energy, which would purify the dozens of vectors that was after the general at this point, making them much more of a threat to the demon.

The general fighting Tiffany ended her furry after laying several strikes on Tiffany, the last being a claw hold to the stomach digging her claws deep into the girls body. Tiffany screamed out in pain and the general gave a slight satisfied smirk, finally she was getting somewhere. In a unexpected turn Tiffany would show a brief moment of seriousness, fighting through the pain to look the demon eye to eye "You hurt Tiffany, now Tiffany will hurt you!" Tiffany gave the general a bone shattering bitch slap across the face, sending the general flying back like a missile from the impact. Tiffany teleported intercepting the general mid-flight and kicked her into the Earth with such force the general seemed to leave a massive hole possibly miles deep in her wake. The scene looked kinda like Dragon Ball Z in that sense, where somebody gets kicked into the Earth so hard they leave behind a giant black hole.

Tiffany landed at the edge of the hole, standing and looking down with her arms crossed, pouting like a moody teenager. She seemed to be aware of the demons movements.

Just as Ganona found a opening and went for a death blow her weapon clashed with Sandra's once again, to her shock Sandra had brought the general to a standstill, and her Phoenix power seemed to be creeping back up. Ganona had said something that struck a nerve, and Sandra's emotions was actually dueling her to resist Ganona aura. "You bitch, you dare to say everything has been handed to me, that I never face any serious threats or peril? You have no idea of my live, or the peril this universe throws at this world. I have fought literal gods, been through hell and back multiple times, I have fought beings designed to kill cosmic entries like myself, for fuck sake just yesterday I fought the Goblin, a force more powerful then the Phoenix that could of devoured it. I've faced so many fucked up villains and otherworldly creates in the past decade since my powers emerged that it would make your pretty little head spin. So don't even DARE lecture me about having it easy.

Furious the demon had the gal to accuse her of being complacent and lazy Sandra pushed forward overtaking the demon in the lockup struggle. Sandra would get in several clear and deep slashes though a fearsome flurry attack with her psionic before hitting a pain stricken Ganona with a point blank Disintegration Wave attack. After the attack subsided there seemed to be no sign of Ganona "Yea, what's all your monologging doing doing for ya now you stuck up bitch."

With that problem out of the way it was now time to focus on breaking out of this cage. While Sandra flared up for a moment in a heated flurry of offense, it still didn't change the fact this cage was zapping her power, and doing so more quickly then Sandra would of liked to admit. Just as she was about to channel her power into the cage a intense pain shot down the length of Sandra's back, stunning her. Ganona was still alive and used her saw to slice cleanly down the entire length of Sandra's back, along the spine. Sandra's power started to plummet quickly after that attack and Ganona knocked her to the ground. Sandra seemed to be paralyzed for a moment but soon started to move again, looked like the Phoenix had a means of healing herself, though with her power being sucked away with every passing minute, the process was probably slower then it normally would be.
