Bart: Shit! This guy is still following us! We're halfway past known space quadrants! He's one persistent mother fucker!

"Kria watches as Bart rushes around the ship"

Bart: What do you mean, predators know no rest until their prey is caught! I'm not a damn animal goddamn it! Fine fine I'll land the ship. Veel!

"Bart's AI instantly begins approach on the moon they were heading towards"

Bart: Just ease her in! I'll guide you through re-entry. We can't let this turn into another space battle you're too damaged!

"At Chandilar, Kor and Skid are escorting Elemental, the current Herald, to Cereza"

Kor: So you say the World Eater offers us his protection?
Elemental: No. He offers you his resources and power. You are not to defend. You must attack and crush the wave. The Shi'ar are the last stand. The Kree have already fallen and the Nova Corps will not withstand the onslaught for long. Without you, the universe is doomed.

"The three powerful beings make their way across the huge palace steps"

"At Xandar, the Wave has been contained and currently a siege is ongoing, anti-air turrets defending the spacial perimeter along with the Nova Corps space fleet. Just then, a warpspace rupture opens and the refuges of the Kree's fallen Hala arrive, headed by Nono and Eres the Accuser. Not wasting any time, Nono blasts open a huge wave of enemies right in front of her, giving the ships a safe space to pass"

Eres: I am glad you arrived when you did android...we would not have held out were it not for you
Nono: We must land and discuss defend with the Corps and the Worldmind. I have a belief this is just the beginning

"The darkness had spawned Krayt ship close enough to Bart that his ship blip was picked up again. Wasting no time Krayt headed directly towards Bart at full speed."

"Skid remained silent taking in the information given. Attacking the wave seemed like suicide at this point in time. This World Eater must be granting some offering for a plan so bold."

Bart: Hold! On!

"The ship starts it's descent, shaking from the rapid atmospheric entry."

Veel: Structural integrity at 50%! Bartholomew if we keep going at this speed we will not survive entry!
Bart: Well if we don't keep it at this speed the damn fucking alien is gonna blow us to bits!

"Kria suddenly pushes Bart slightly to the side and starts searching for something"

Bart: She wants the helmet!
Veel: That is not advisable! It's a direct link to me she would
Bart: Give her the helmet!

"Veel sighs and the helmet Bart used before to directly interface with the ship props up. Kria puts it on, and suddenly, the shaking loosens and a sort of protective bubble goes up around the ship, as Kria keeps her focus. The ship still dives at massive speed to the moon's surface"

Bart: How'd you...
Veel: She...her powers...

"As the three enter the war room, Shi'ar generals running left and right, Cereza greets them"

Cereza: About time Galactus decided to fight for his universe.
Elemental: My, cheeky, considering it was your criminal that caused this

"Cereza bits her tongue"

Cereza: So what does he expect of us. Our fleet is stretched thin as it is defending our borders.
Elemental: From you, Cereza, nothing. I want these two

"She points back at Skid and Kor"

Cereza: You want me to provide the two strongest defenders to the Throneworld?
Elemental: Yes

"Krayt follows suit entering the moons atmosphere and descending as fast as his ship will allow without breaking apart. He lands on the moons surface not long after Bart and steps out of his ship. Krayt stands for a moment observing his surrounds, there seem to be no life other then those on the opposing ship. Krayt begins to approach Bart's ship at a steady walk."

Skid: I will not leave Cereza empty handed.

"To anyone that knew him, Skid was very loyal to Cereza and would never leave her undefended unless the order came directly from her."

"A Krayt walks, he notices several clearly man made buildings of very advanced tech, but seemingly abandoned for decades, maybe centuries. A ways away, Bart ship has landed as well, Kria and Bart already outside, a large clearly just outside a big ruined building"

Bart: So? Where's this place you say has my answers. No it's fine, Veel is solid light, she can intreact with the kid. Oh shut up and show me where it is

"Kria leads the way into the building's basement, as Bart follows. He wasn't exactly sure he trusted her, but he didn't have any other lead. After Gan's backstab, she was the only option he had for discovering why he was abducted all those years ago, what his starsaber was, what his powers were"

Elemental: Loyal this one. Okay let us negotiate then. Galactus will set up a powerful defense perimeter using his own private tech around the core worlds of the Imperium. In return, you will lease these two fighters
Cereza: What do you want with them?
Elemental: We are going to slay Annhilus

"Kor and Cereza both stare dumbfounded at her"

"Krayt notes the oddity but is ultimately unfazed, maybe there was a attack and the city rebuilt itself with it's tech afterward, or maybe a plague killed off whatever species resided here. Whatever it was wasn't setting off a sense of danger at the moment, so it did not concern him. He reached Bart's ship in short time to see them already on the move. Following the direction of the footsteps his own infer-red activated piecing the walls of the building in which the footsteps lead.

Krayt could see the heat figures of his targets, they seem to be moving down and Krayt quickly took after pursuit."

"It would seem the look on Cereza and Kor face would share Skid own thoughts, for such a mission sounded impossible."

"Bart and Kria eventually reach a big door, as Kria walks up and begins fiddling with the electronic control, still functioning, to open it"

Bart: So...what is this place? What do you mean it's my temple. I don't know what the fuck you're talking about...huh

"Bart walks up the controls, and Kria grabs his hand and puts it on the panel, and the doors shake and begin to open slowly, revealing a massive library"

Elemental: Do not fret mortals. Annhilus may be powerful, but he is not a God. If we can fight through the endless army and reach his mother ship, he is within our power to kill

"Not long after the door would fully open, the scene would pan around to snow Krayt silently standing behind the group.   Their heat signature pointed out their location and their sent told Krayt exactly where to go.   Knowing this the Predator made up time quickly.   Bart and Kria look back as they hear the creatures familiar sounds. Krayt stands ready waiting for his prey to make a move."

Bart: Oh shit

"Bart and Kria both activate their starsabers and get ready"

Bart: Look dude...why are you trying this hard? You've seen what Gan thinks of of the woman next to me. He doesn't give two shits about you. You aren't getting shit money for me.

"Bart starts to circle towards the left, Kria to the right. Neither of them betray aggressiveness, as Bart tries and negotiate"

"Krayt readies his spear for combat as the two spread out into combat position. Krayt didn't care for money, he just wanted to fight and kill. Eventually he must face The Phoenix herself, everything up until then is more or less training. Krayt takes the offensive soon enough going after Bart."

Bart: Fuck sakes!

"Bart uses a tk push to try and push him back as Kria jumps and attempts to cut him with her saber"

Bart: Listen to me! You're throwing your life away for nothing!

"Krayt is able to defend from the tk and positions his spear to impale Kria as she came at him. Kria has to shift her body weight mid air to make a narrow escape. Krayt sends a tk blast back at Bart then charges at Kria at a much faster then normal pace grabbing her and tossing the girl into the wall with great force. He then uses the same speed to approach Bart looking to impale him."

"Bart uses his powers to accelerate his movement and reactions and match Krayt, and then cuts right through his spear with his startsaber. Kria softens the blow against the wall by using a tk cushion and then sends out a massive jolt of lightning towards Krayt"

Bart: Damn...no choice then, burn him!

"Krayt's absorption and adoption of energy allowed him to quickly understand tk from the first attack. With that knowledge he blocked the lightning with a tk shield before activating a set of metal claws on his wrists. He makes a quick move managing to get close enough to grab Bart's shoulder and looks to impale him with the claws."

"Champion Kana t'wor!"

The soft and old voice was amplified artificially in the throne room. Dozens of near millenia old matriarchs scrutinized the young Champion who was bowed before the Empress and the other high ranking Matriarchs. She was at a higher station than many of them, but Kana was obliged to show respect.

"Rise!" Kana stood on command and took her spear from the floor. "Spy Master of the Fifth sector the knowledge you gained is most troubling. These attacks on our empire will continue?" Kana viewed Empress Thara with some respect. The way she grained the crown was ingenious but she knew this woman wasn't the leader they needed in this time. "This endless wave of enemies seem to be outlandish."

"I speak with the truth of the Goddess Empress I urge you to remember that." she advised in a rather blunt way. Kana had enough dealings with nobility to know this was sometimes needed. "There is nothing outlandish about this nor about the lost of two million citizens." murmurings amongst the Matriarchs began as many felt offense on the Empress's behalf. Kana barely even paid them any attention and simply looked at the leader of their society who was tapping her dazzling jewel encrusted scepter. She knew what Kana was saying and the issue with the small colony being wiped out was a failure. One of their fleets saw a huge swarm and intended to mine the system's mass relay. Something terrible happened destroying the relay and anything within several light years of it. The invasion force was wiped out but more was coming.

"What is it you advise we do Spy Master?"

Kana took a look around at the Matriarchs who calmed down for the moment. "Prepare to evacuate our outer territories. The core of our empire must however must be protected. Let the foreign forces eliminate any outer rim criminal forces first. If they reach the Sphere of Thessia its possible we may hold it off indefinitely, but that only happens when we've lost everything else and cannot retreat. For now wait until I find a solution to this."

"What?" the Matriarch lamara the head of a commando family was far less willing to wait. "Champion, while you have saved our civilization we can't simply wait until you yourself fix this issue. Empress! I will send my fleet to the barbarian galaxies and deal with this threat. We shall bring true civilization to the others who are also suffering from this."

Kana frowned knowing this would only cause even more war, but she was one of the many who wanted a growing empire that didn't retreat to some Dyson Sphere. Kana was never truly against expansion but now was not the time. The Empress hit the floor with her Scepter to gain everyone's attention.

"In light of what has been revealed to me I shall...consider your advice Champion! However, you will search these other systems and find this threat. Use whatever resources you have onboard your castle. I may not know the wishes of our Goddesses but we hope they have our best interests at heart."

Kana bowed her head slightly to her. "They do Empress." with that the meeting was over. The throne room and people faded from kana's view and was replaced by a dark blue room with only her as its only inhabitant. She left it and walked through her Castle's halls wondering about the meeting. Kana was confident, but was working in alien space. This wasn't going to be war she could win on her own.

"Bart uses his tk to accelerate his movement, moving faster than the predator to avoid the pin before quickly cutting off the arm he was trying to impaling him"

Bart: Will you stop! Just listen to me! Talk goddamn it. Are you some kind of fucking animal or something?

"Bart lifts up Krayt with tk and slams him so hard against the wall the stone cracks, revealing the metal underneath and leaving an indentation"

Bart: I don't want to fight you goddamn it! I'm just a fuckin bounty hunter man! I'm not a hero, I didn't mean to get in that crazy bastard's way. Just go back to Ganiorgi and tell him I wont bother his ass anymore, I got what I wanted anyway!

"Meanwhile, at Xandar, the Nova Force is holding back the endless Annihilation Wave as best they can, but their forces are running low. Nono is directing the battle above, handling an entire section of the defense perimeter by herself. Down bellow, Eres is meeting with a returned Michael and other leaders of refugees from nearby planets"

Eres: What do you mean there is no offense planned?!
Michael: You have to understand. We are barely holding them back from Xandar as it is. The Worldmind is telling me even more are on the way. Annhilus has an entire universe's worth of army at his beck and call, unless we can kill him, this has no end

Elemental: Then lets kill him

"Elemental, Kor and Skid appear out of thin air. Several Denerians present aim their guns at her, but Michael raises his hand so they'll stand down"

Michael: Catherine..how's space treating you?

"She gives him a cold look before sighing. Her expression and body language shifts from a serious and calculating herald to that of the selfish and energetic Catherine Anderson"

Catherine: You have no fucking idea. That Galactus is a fucking pain! And finding uninhabited planets takes forever. Beyond annoying. Any news of Earth...Peter?
Michael: Milo said everyone's been fine, so I assume your brother is too

Eres: You...you know the Herald of Galactus Nova Prime?
Michael: Yep. Now why are you here?
Catherine: I'm here dumbass, to end this. I need your help to do it. We're going to mount a commando offense into the heart of the Annihilation Wave. Small contingency, all heavy fucking hitters. You game?
Michael: Why of course
Eres: I shall accompany you! My king was taken, I must retrieve him, by the honor of the Kree
Catherine: Speaking of the Kree, you might want to reorganize your defenses. Nono's about to get called off...I think SWORD might be planning to attack and reclaim Hala.

The Nova Corp's defense of Xandar was being monitored by a lone cloaked vessel. For those capable of detecting it knew it was unarmed and there for observation, but didn't know why. For now it was allowed to stay making no significant moves until now. In an instant all commanders were sent a message containing a FTL signature of a large vessel incoming. Its exit location was given for all and its designation was friendly, but clearly it was still worrying. Another message followed with the statement. "Your betters have come to aid you."

A flash of light appeared in the least defended section of the planet. A massive vessel appeared in an instant. A glowed a bright sapphire. This light set off any instrument capable of measuring gravity manipulation. Behind it a portion of the wave simply disintegrated into its molecular components.

Like petals from a flower sections of the ship pulled away and created its own secure zone. Gravity in this area was so unstable it pulled anything apart at the molecular level. The near blinding light faded and the ship's face was shown.Its design appeared alien but somewhat familiar in its attempt at appearing beautiful as a trade off for efficiency.

Kana stood in her Throne room as she watched the battle on the holographic screens covering the entire area. "Open all communication channels and direct them to me. Prioritize any coming from military commanders."

The AI servant silently acknowledged and did this almost instantly. Her spear laid across the throne for now. She didn't want to appear to antagonistic. For now she waited until someone tried to contact them. A single message was sent from the cloaked vessel. "Your Champion has arrived."

"Nono looks amazed at the arrival"

Nono: Hello. This is Buster Machine 7! With the organization of SWORD. Who is this?

"Michael likewise notices the arrival. The Worldmind instantly feeds him all available info on it's databanks on the tech and the race it belongs to"

Michael: Hello. This is the Nova Prime, commander of the Xandar forces. What is an Asari ship doing at this place? We rarely receive communications from your section of space

Kana thought for a moment what to say and had to forcefully push down the urge to act how a typical citizen would respond to non Republic races. "I am Champion Kana t'wor and I am here to aid your people. These beings are a clear threat to the Asari Republics and an offense to our Goddesses. They will be purged!"

Her response was to both Michael and Nono. A castle was rarely sent to aid a foreign power, but this was a great exception. "The power I command for now is yours." throughout her ship many of the Asari heard this announcement and were nearly appalled by this. A Champion submitting herself to barbarians was an affront to everything they were. Kana wasn't the type to let pride get in her way. This was their territory and a battle they knew more about. For now any and all means were required to win.

Nono: Understood. Nono is sending information on the nearby space quadrants.

"Kana receives a detailed map of the Milk Way, LMC and Andromeda galaxies, including the most important strong holds for the various races, Kree, Shi'ar, Skrulls, humans, etc. Places like Xandar, Hala, Earth, the Shi'ar throneworld Chandilar, etc. It seems the Annihilation Wave is mainly coming from the "south", having consumed most of the LMC and is currently assaulting Xandar, who is at one of the southern ends of the galaxy, while a large contingency has circled around to attack Chandilar. Earth is also right at the boundaries of the Wave's attack borders"

Michael: Hello. Don't mean to intrude but...Kana was it? Thanks for the help. I wouldn't count on aid from the Asari of all places but, here's the general situation. Xandar is secure, especially if you are willing to help. I am more concerned about the perimeter around planet the Skrull homeworld. They will need assistance soon. As for Hala and Earth well...I feel sorry for any negative zone invaders that have to face up to the Shadow League. They'll retake Hala. Nono, you're need down here. You're also welcome to join us Kana, we're discussing a counter attack

Kana had already memorized the information given to her by the spies under her command and it was a close enough match to this map. "Save enemy movement data. This could be useful in the future."

When Michael mentioned a counter attack that peaked her interest. "Send this information back to the Temple and prioritize high risk sectors." The AI knew what that meant and essentially sent messages to send at least one Champion to specific territories in Skrull and Shi'ar space. At their fastest it would take hours and that was if the Goddesses were kind.

"Thank you Nono. Now Nova Prime I've requested reinforcements but I cannot promise more help than I. Your right if your a little confused by our involvement. We barely consider you people but," she looked at an image showing the Annihilation Wave's constant onslaught.

"These are interesting times. I'll kill a few thousand or billion creatures for you as a part of this counter attack of yours."

"As they're talking, Catherine joins in, talking through the same com link as Michael"

Catherine: Champion of the Asari, I am the herald of the world eater Galactus. I do not require a direct assault, I require stealth. Your republics specialize in sabotage. You are more useful in that capacity

"Catherine's mannerisms have returned to the otherworldly and vastly powerful herald, as she addresses Kana in this way"

"Hmm...."

Kana took a moment to think and she came to the same conclusion. Well for her at least. The Asari are more known for espionage mainly due to most of their spies act as diplomats or simply criminal agents. They had no need for the more militaristic noble houses getting involved in Foreign policy recently.

"I approve Herald. However I will still ask for some relief efforts to assist in holding back our enemy. Otherwise what targets do you have for me?" she asked, but there were a few that were already being considered. It was still wise to ask this Herald first. She could hear the voices of the Goddesses speaking.

My my I can almost feel her presence even in this spiral.

Can I sense of tinge of desperation from the World Eater?

Catherine: Hold your orbit, I'll join your ship in a while

"Catherine turns off"

Catherine: Alright then. Michael? Ready to go?

"Michael is communicating with the Worldmind and leaving out orders, including who takes over as Nova Prime should he die"

Michael: Almost

"Catherine turns to Kor and Skid"

Catherine: You best be ready for a true war my friends.

"Acknowledged."

In most circumstances when a foreign dignitary was welcomed to the castle an army of maidens changed duties. Now they were there to make sure most foreigners were amazed by Asari design and art. Unfortunately when a battle was being undertaken this wasn't the focus so Kana made sure at best no one attempted to insult the foreigner.

Kana already made her way to the CIC. The real one not something controlled from a throne devoid of any subordinates. She observed the battle and her allies performance. There defenses were tough and worthy of a first rate galactic military force but they still would need assistance. She knew a few noble families who've awaited this moment for centuries. It would be unusual for them to pass this up.
