Heroes Uprising Part 5

"The truck makes it's way fast along the Thames. They can see the clashing waves and light out near the Tower"

Liz: Holy! That's...where's my canon?
Cainhurst: There in the back with you

"Liz looks around and finds it. She quickly pulls two two massive anti-tank rifles, and an even bigger ammo supply."

Cainhurst: What are you planning?
Liz: Ye saw it too. It's going to take out the Bridge.

"Liz quickly disassembles one of the cannons from the larger set and loads it with a single payload"

Liz: What you do, don't shake the truck too much

"Before Cainhurst, the other guard with him, or anyone in the back can stop her, she gets out through the back and onto the roof. Ilyrana gracefully follows her up. Red peaks out from the back"

Red: What are you gonna do?
Liz: Shoot that elf fucker out of the goddamn sky. I can make the shoot from here.

"Ilyrana is staring out and can see Celebech, but Fathae is hidden by the massive wave of water. Liz readies the cannon and lays down, ready to take the shot"

Ilyrana: Can you make the shot vampire?
Liz: Lady, you ain't as good a shot as me.

"Liz gives a grin, aims, and using her vampire eyesight, takes a shot with the cannon, a food few miles away still. Celebech doesn't see it coming until the incendiary round basts him straight out of the sky and onto the river."

Celebech: By Eru what! Damn!

"And then, he's overwhelmed by a blast of light as Fathae's blast overwhelms the now crumbling waves. The river Thames shakes and spills onto the banks as the sword's light cuts right through"

Scott nodded as Kiya told him that there would be a lot to tell.
"There is much to tell on my end, as well. I hope we will get to speak again at some point in the future."
It was at this point that two individuals walked in, one in a business suit and the other dressed like the Captain America he knew, just with his mask off and the shield on his back instead of in his hand. They introduced themselves as Aaron Stark and Tyler, which were different from the Tony Stark and Steve Rogers that he knew as the men under the masks. This indicated that they were either the children of these original heroes, or he was in a dimension that had alternate versions of these heroes, and at this point, he could believe either outcome.

When Aaron extended his hand for a handshake, Scott took it and gave him a friendly handshake.
"Scott Young, nice to meet you," he said to both Aaron and Tyler.
Aaron seemed a bit more concerned about the situation with the portal than Tyler, especially since someone named Dr. Hank had verified that Scott was the only one to exit the portal.
"I can verify that nothing else came out of that portal after me, since it closed behind me as soon as I stepped through. However, I don't know how long that portal was open, and something or someone could have come through before I got there. As far as I know, I'm the only person from my dimension that crossed over."

Aaron asked him if he knew who opened the portal, and Scott could only shake his head.
"I wish I knew. As I was saying to Kiya, there's only one person I know who could open a long-term stable inter-dimensional portal, and that definitely was not one of his."
Scott looked at both Tyler and Aaron, thinking that there was probably some threat that they could use help with.
"I'm not sure what brought me here, but I'll use this opportunity to help you guys out. If there is evil to be fought, you can count me in."

Scott began communicating with Valor, wanting to see if his friend recalled something specific during the time that they had passed through the portal.
Did you notice any familiar energy signatures when we stepped through the portal?
No, not a single one. That bodes well that no evil from our dimension crossed over.
The perks of having most of your worst enemies living off-planet.
Scott was relieved by what Valor had told him, and turned his attention back to The Avengers.

"The truck arrives near the bridge, where One is observing, a team nearby. Cainhurst gets off and the team salutes him

Cainhurst: Situation?
One: They're on the other bank of the river

"She points"

One: The elf lord knew he'd be shot down if he attempted a grandiose battle again. The knight is forced to fight on his terms for she desires the sword he has taken.
Cainhurst: Why aren't you intervening?

"Cainhurst looks at her, mixed of confused and upset, but always keeping calm"

One: I can not. To aid her would defy the authority of Queen Elizabeth and the house of Windsor.
Cainhurst: What?
One: I must speak with Charlotte. I shall leave you and your men to handle this. Maintain containment. As a gesture of good faith, I suggest the knight girl's friends aid her in this battle.

Genesis sank to his knees, breathing heavily, Christian and Jonathan lay unconscious in front of him. He could hardly believe it, but he'd managed to defeat them, he'd really done it. It had been a long and difficult battle, but his desire to win had been so great that he called upon figures he'd never thought too and together they'd defeated his opponents. He grinned madly as he watched the last of them fade away, a woman in armor and wielding a sword, she smiled at him as she vanished. Emmet appeared, having been watching in the stands, hand hugged Genesis.

" Brava dawling, brava! I knew you had it in you, simply amazing! "

Emmets praise was starting to make Genesis blush, he was enjoying it more then he wanted to admit, it felt nice. Suddenly Emmet stiffened, his eyes going wide, immediately putting Genesis on alert. Christian and Jonathan were starting to wake up when they were all teleported to Emmets office. Jericho was already present, large screen displaying an image of New York, specifically Emmet's main office building. At first nothing happened but the entire building was suddenly crumbled up into itself in a violent move. It was regurgitated back out, only in a different design.

Still incredibly heigh, but it had been expanded out by riddiculous proportions and it's sleek silver-blue color had been replaced by blood red, to the point that it looked like the building itself was bleeding. A sign hung overhead reading " Godrics Casino "

The scoreboard displayed Kaiser: 456,574 points Katy: 345,675, and Riku: 345,674

" Not bad, beat me by just one point, pretty good and of course the reigning champion is still going strong I see " Riku nudged Kaiser playfully.

Tanesha was about to answer Sandra when everyone was teleported to Emmets office and immediately briefed about what had just happened. The main question being, was Godric beginning an assault?

Emmet shook his head, his expression calm, though the temperature in the office kept fluxuating " No, this is merely his usual brutish manner of stealing my possesions and slathering his filth all over it. I foresaw this coming to be honest, though not fast enough it seems "

Riku was inspecting the image closer " Um, what do you suppose happened to all the people that were in the building? "

Emmet closed his eyes for a moment " Dead or worse, as I said I didnt see this fast enough "

Jonathan hugged him from behind " Hey, no beating yourself up over, it's terrible but thing of what you can do to avenge those peo- the ground shook suddenly. Eva materialized in the room.

" Emmet, I believe your brother decided to do some decorating on the front lawn "

Emmet immediately moved everyone to the front of the mansion, which was now litered with over a hundred heads skewered on spikes. Each of them had the words " Emmy " carved into their foreheads. All of Emmets employee's, there was a lot of mixed reactions among them. Emmet walked around, his expression gradually becoming less composed and more enraged " He seems still fond of the old ways it seems, I tip my had to him at that "

Flames engulfed all of the piked heads, turning them to ash " Thank you all for your fine work " Emmet took a few breaths to rain in his emotions, flying off in a murderous rage would not accomplish anything. He knew that so very well, but such things ignited his more crueler side and set his blood ablaze. Godric knew that better then anyone, how many blood soaked wars had they waged against one another? To immortals time meant nothing and they could go for centuries if not longer, but Emmet had no intention of letting this go that far, oh no his brother would meet his end, he had the workings of a plan, but it would still take some time to fully work it out. Emmet was shaking now, but from rage or some twisted excitement, he couldnt tell.

Minerva was walking around the Avenger's HQ, since she hadnt been able to get a proper tour of it before her first mission. She smiled as she thought back on it, it had been very exciting, not mention terrifying, but she felt like she'd grown a lot over the course of it. She'd also made friends with Tanya, she found the woman a little intimidating, being a powerful, Asgardian goddess, but she was gradually becoming more at ease as they chatted.

Aaron: Well, problem is, we don't KNOW what opened the portal. Not yet anyway. Give our energy and particle expert a few more hours...or minutes, and he might figure out at least if it's magical or otherwise. After that well, I don't know how your world works, but ours has between one and a million ways you can hide from tracking.
Tyler: And unfortunately, the bad guys here are good at all of them.
Aaron: If you have any data, we'd appreciate it if you shared.

"Lets get to it then" Abby says.    Abby didn't care to question why the containment team couldn't step in, there wasn't any time to argue about it.   Cal speaks up.   "Abby, take the boys with you.    Red, Theo, ready yourselves for battle.    I'll keep tabs on the situation here and let you know if anything changes."

Abby starts heading towards the bank where Fathae and Celebech was said to be.

"Godric is merely trying to get into Emmet's head with these little stunts" Sandra commented. What was being displayed was merely child's play so far compared to what was coming.

Liz: We're not gonna make it across the water in time!
Ilyrana: You stay here vampire. You are more useful.

"She turns to Abby, Red and Theo"

Ilyrana: Steady yourselves. Di i gwae

"A gentle wind picks all four of them up and carries them quickly across the river. Once they arrive they realize that Celebech and Fathae are locked in close combat, with Fathae dodging every thrust of Celebech's spear as he easily dodges each swing of her sword. But while Fathae is already breathing heavily, the elf shows no signs of exhaustion"

Celebech: Oh. I see your companions have arrived. Telpehtë nahámëldë

"Around the group, portals of silver shadow pop and bring forth a group of what appear of small little creatures, crouching, eyes glowing in the darkness"

Red: awww crap.
Ilyrana: You throw your lot in with goblins now Silverlance?
Celebech: I throw my lot in with the forgotten folk. If my own kind will not follow their rightful king, I shall remind all peoples of the forests and meadows that the elves rule the fair folk. And I will drive back the humans from our lands. And it might as well begin in Britannia.
Fathae: I care not for your wars elf! Return the sword of the stone
Celebech: It is made of faerie hands! It does not belong to mortal men!

"Fathae attacks as the goblins attack the rest of the group. Ilyrana produces her bow and jumps back onto a nearby high ground, and begins firing shots. Red gets swarmed and begins using his stone hand to smash him while Theo gets on all fours and begins jumping from goblin to goblin, tackling them down into the ground"

Scott listened as Aaron and Tyler told him that they would try to determine what had opened the portal. They wanted to know if he had any data, and he could only shrug.
"Like I said, I only know of one person who can open a portal like that for over two hours, and that's my mentor, the God of Fire, Solaris AKA Alan Arnan. However, this portal was not one of his Fire Paths. I don't know who opened the portal. I can only say that it seems like whatever entity opened the portal wanted me in this dimension, but beyond that, I got nothing."

Scott looked out the door and saw that there were computers that could be used to scan for activity.
"You say that you have an energy and particle expert. I'd like to speak with that person and see what they think."
Scott was ready to get down to the business of what had opened the portal, as well as get down to the business of defeating evil.

Abby took the goblins head on ripping them apart with her vectors.    When given a opening Abby applied some of her teachings from Collin using spacial warps to multiple her vectors and extend her range.    "We have to deal with these things quickly, Fathae looks like she'll need help."

Kiya was still in the room, silently taking note as Aaron and Tyler exchanged words with Scott.    "As of now the culprit who opened that thing sounds like he or she, or it would of come from our world.    Taking Scott's word into account, opening a inter-dimension portal is a big feat in his world, a feat he only knows one guy of being capable of.    But here many are capable of it.    I know it doesn't narrow down the search a who lot, but exploring one world is at least better then exploring two."

"Why would Godric waste time showing off like this?" questioned Katy, as the group took in Godric's handy work.   Sandra replied back "Minds games.   Godric wants Emmet to get mad, that'll make him careless.    One could argue that Godric isn't at full strength and wants a mental advantage, but that's unlikely.    Truth is he's just a child playing with his food right now, and we're the food.    Godric enjoys this."

What Sandra just said worried Katy.    What if Godric planned to toy with all of them?   Sandra wasn't the most rational person under stress and her kids was a pretty well known trigger key.   Most notably in this case Cassandra, with her also having the Goblin, it could attract Godric's attention.    Katy took note of Tanesha, she'd have to seek out a opportunity to speak with the other girl.    If Godric was playing mind games, then it would be a very good idea to keep a watchful eye on Sandra.

"The goblins seem to keep coming from black silver light portals, Ilyrana keeps shooting them down with ease but starts to look more and more annoyed. Theo just jumps and fights his way through, eventually ending back to back with Red"

Theo: This is starting to remind me of that time in Vigo
Red: That was nothing like this and you know it, half the city ended up turned into animals and we had jurisdiction paperwork from the goddamn Burial Agency for months.

"Fathae and Celebech are still engaged in their one on one. For each blow Fathae dodges she aims an equally skillful slash with Excalibur, but Celebech easily counters each attack. Eventually he produces Gáe Assail and begins using dual spear wielding to overwhelm Fathae. Ilyrana notices this and aims three well placed soul arrows right at Celebech, but he jumps into the air, and spins, cutting through the arrows with Luin before throwing Assail at Ilyrana"

Celebech: Yew!

"Ilyrana barely dodges, as Celebech uses the other magic word to call the spear back, and uses the momentum to then drive it down along with Luin. Fathae manages to parry Luin, the more dangerons weapon, but Assail drives itself into her shoulder, skewering her right through and piercing the ground, forcing her to one knee. Celebech places the tip of Luin against her neck"

Celebech: Stand down knight of the fae. I do not wish to claim your life. This conflict is not yours to fight, you owe Men nothing
Fathae: I owe...my own kind, my own country nothing?
Celebech: Hahaha

"Celebech lets out a sinister laugh"

Celebech: You are not one of them girl. The things you are capable of, the way you heal, your affinity for the blade Excalibur. You are a faerie, or at the very least, you carry fae blood. You are one of my own, of lady Ilyrana's, people.

"Fathae looks up, as a thunder rings out above"

Fathae: W-what? How do you...
Celebech: Ask lady Ilyrana. Ask that black magus friend of yours. I am no magus and even I realized by crossing blades.
Fathae:...be that as it may, then that merely proves that sword is all the more to be guarded by me! Whatever blood you see
Celebech: Nay! The sword is required. Perhaps once I am done, I shall return it. But I will see our lands restored, and it shall begin here in Britannia. Farewell fae knight, may the old gods protect you.

"Celebech puts his two spears into storage, causing Fathae to drop forward, using her Excalibur to support herself before rising as Celebech walks away. Ilyrana takes a few more shots at him, which makes him just accelerate, trying to run past the battlefield. Fathae gingerly stands"

Fathae: N-no! Wait! Come back here!

Aaron: Okay then. Come on, follow me

"Aaron leads Scott up the elevator with Kiya and Tyler, coming out into a large laboratory system. He leads him to a room filled with all sorts of energy reading equipments, with a young man, dark hair and a labcoat, watching the computer"

Aaron: Oi, Doc, we got a visitor
Christopher: Oh? Wait, portal guy? Oh god it's portal guy! Stand still

"Christopher presses a series of buttons and instantly Scott starts getting "processed"

Aaron:...you could at least introduce yourself doc
Christopher: Oh right right, sorry. Christopher Hank. Particle physics and dimensional travel expert, also know a thing or two about Pym particles. We have MUCH to talk about. If you have any info I'd greatly appreciate it, I'm trying to piece together this portal you came out of, and honestly it's fascinating because while usually I'm used to seeing high grade multiversial dilatation born out of a multiple choice phenomena yours is different in that

"Christopher seems to outright ignore Scott as he begins detailing complex multi dimensional travel theory"

Aaron: Hey, you might want to just tell him what you know...or he'll go on.

Meanwhile in the new Casino, Godric was lounging in the new penthouse suite at the very top of the building. He'd decided to take it over on a whim, as was his usual attitude towards his brothers possessions. Remodeling it to better fit his own taste, as oppossed to Emmet's more prissy and delicate type. After beheading all of the people inside, he reanimated their bodies with goblin energy and set them to working for him, sending all of the decapitated heads to Emmet of course.

He halfway wanted Emmet to come for him in a hissy fit, but he knew that the man was far from the sort, oh Emmet would retaliate, that was for sure. But he would do it in a way that upstaged Godrics own attack, the usual song and dance and he was looking forward to it. He had a man and woman in each arm while more lounged on his lap and others at his feet, fighting over who got to blow him first.

Eclipse was sitting at the bar, a strong drink in hand, this place was certainly a step up from the rotted mansion they'd been using, not that he had minded it that much. But now this felt more official. Like they would come closer to their goals now, his mouth quirked into a twisted grin as he sipped his drink.

" I express some curiousity as to what a casino will accomplish " Ark said from his spot next to Eclipse.

Godric laughed " Oh you could say theres no point to it at all, I'm a people person and being surrounded by people has always....wet my apetite, so maybe there is a reason, Arky boy "

Ark rolled his eyes " I see then, as a child gambling is above my interest "

" I could take care of that if you want, fiddle with time a bit and make you a grown man "

Ark shook his head " No thanks, im fine with natural progress or completely halting, if I should choose "

Raid looked up from his bowl of nachos to snort " Besides, he likes luring in pedophoiles and torturing to much to really considerate it "

Ark rolled his eyes but didnt denie it, Aria was looking out the window, marveling at the view of the city, it was her first time in New York. Gray was sitting cross legged, meditating. Godric found all of them to be pretty amusing, but given all of the people Emmet had in his army, it was time to do some recruiting.

Emmet responded to Katy's inquirie " This is a pot shot as the saying goes, it's how he usually to start off our fights, I will respond in kind, when the time comes " Emmet had calmed down and teleported everyone to the dining room for a tea party. He poured himself some a cup " Today's selection includes earl grey and jasmine flavored tea, along with honey cakes and scones, please enjoy " he took a sip and greeted Katy more formally " Happy to see you are here with us Miss Kharma, it's been far too long "

Àbby uses the spacial warp technique to appear in front of Celebech and cut him off before he escaped the battle. "Hold it there buddy, my friend said to return the sword. Your not getting away that easily."

Christopher kept rambling on until Kiya shot a hole in the wall with a energy blast. "hey doc, just tell us what you know." Kiya looks at the sunlight outside that's now shining in. "Oh right, just dock my pay Aaron. Should cover the repairs."

"Hey I've always got my friends back, even if the odds aren't necessarily with me in many battles. Still thank you for the welcome, quite a interesting group you have here. I certainly need to check out the others." Katy took a sip of tea. "So we have a plan for Godric, right?"

Scott nodded as Aaron wanted him to follow him. As he followed Aaron down the hallway toward an elevator, Tyler and Kiya close behind, he saw a young woman with red hair in a ponytail, a cape, and a skirt that looked like some kind of school girl. He gave her a smile as he passed by, thinking that he would have to get her name if he saw her again while he was not so busy. Once they were in the elevator, he waited as they ascended to the floor where presumably this particle and energy expert would be. When they arrived, the man seemed very excited to see him, insisting that he stand still and be processed.
"Um, okay."

After some prodding from Aaron, he introduced himself as Dr. Christopher Hank, an expert in the advanced scientific disciplines that were used to explain interdimensional travel.
"Scott Young, nice to meet you," he replied, although Dr. Hank probably did not hear him over his explanation of multi-dimensional travel theory, pointing out the observable difference of such a portal designed for only one thing when it had seemed to be randomly generated, rather than being as a result of choice.
Aaron told him that he would have to lead the conversation a bit, and Scott nodded. Valor was actually keeping pace with Dr. Hank, understanding and formulating answers to what the man was theorizing. The Kasha had to face the possibility of traveling through other dimensions in order to give Voltari Souls to hosts that could survive them, which had indeed been what happened when Empress Enjela gave Valor to Scott, and had become experts in interdimensional travel. With their first-hand experience and knowledge from both Kasha and Solaris, they were actually quite happy to speak with the excited doctor.

"Yes, doctor, you're exactly right. This interdimensional portal is different in that it opened and shut seemingly at will, which indicated that it was not randomly generated from the inner workings of the universe. In our dimension, all portals that we encounter are opened at will, and we usually get travel from only one dimension, those of my friends and enemies, the Kasha and Grymwar, respectively. There is only one person that I know of who can open that kind of sustained portal, but I also suspect that a rogue former Shadowgreen student could have done this. I do not have specific knowledge of every student who ever attended Shadowgreen, and there are those with powers who are simply off our radar back home, as unusual as that is. Valor has a second theory that may describe what happened, and to put it simply, he says that both of our dimensions may have been affected by an extremely powerful being that has plans involving all of us."

Scott was made a bit nervous by a being with that much power, and tried not to let it show.
"Whatever the case, that's all we know."
He trusted that The Avengers would have the means to deduce the cause from there, but should they need help, he had a means of transporting help to them. Valor had a telepathic link to Solaris, Chiang, and Enjela, and Solaris could arrange the transport of Kashan experts to this dimension if the need for additional brainpower arose. Solaris literally knew all there was to know about it, but due to his status as a god, he was forbidden to give them such secrets. Naturally, he would never take such drastic action without approval from those he needed, but allying with Scott and Valor unknowingly gave The Avengers many new resources that they could make use of in the battle against evil.

Scott turned to Aaron and Tyler.
"So, could you guys show me around this place? It would be helpful in knowing how best I can help you out."
He thought that what he had seen so far was pretty cool, but he knew that it was just scratching the surface of Avengers Tower.

"Christopher recoils from the blast"

Christopher: Jesus! Fine sorry!

"He listens to Scott"

Christopher: Well, no, creating sustained dimensional portals is quite easy. Through magecraft, or through technology, it is nothing that hasn't been accomplished.
Aaron: Speaking of magic, couldn't the mages find something?
Tyler: Well, have you tried asking?

"Aaron raises his shoulder"

Aaron: Touche. This is Aaron. Natsu, Elsa, Laxus, Minerva, get to the science floor.

"Celebech stares Abby down and with extreme agility and speed, pulls back and pulls forth Luin from his pocket dimension, preparing to skewer her"

Scott could see that he was not going to get that tour at the moment. Dr. Hanks explained that creating stable inter-dimensional portals was pretty easy in his dimension, most of them coming from magic or technology.
"Well, sounds like it won't be easy to nail down a prime suspect, then."
Scott looked over at the hole Kiya had blasted in the tower, guessing that people growing frustrated with the chatty doc was par for the course. Figuring that he was done being processed, Scott stepped over to the control panel that Dr. Hanks was working on. Surprisingly enough, it bore a resemblance to one of Kashan design that he had seen once.

Wow, this guy's got all the bells and whistles.
Indeed, his array of equipment is sophisticated enough that he should be able to nail down the cause of the opening within the day. It is unfortunate that I was not born with hands or I could help him get it done even faster.
I doubt The Avengers would want me messing around with their equipment, so I'll just leave it to the doc.
Scott stepped back and heard Aaron calling for those skilled in magic to see if they could help figure it out. Magic was extremely rare in the dimension they came from and gave off an easily-recognizable energy signature when used, so Scott doubted that the portal had been of magical origin.

Something Dr. Hanks said was now coming back to the surface. When it came to energy signatures, the most difficult to read were the inorganic machines. If the portal had been produced by technology, Valor would have a hard time reading that as being the definitive cause. Given how common Dr. Hanks claimed such portals to be here, it was highly-probable that the culprit was someone from this dimension. That raised the question of who in this dimension would even know of him, much less want him here for some reason. Scott and Valor were lost in their own thoughts, sharing ideas back and forth as the mages entered the room.

Cal had been watching the fighting through a sniper he found found in the back of the truck when he went to look for a scope or binoculars, he figured it was probably Liz's as she seemed like the gun girl.   He took a shot when Celebech went after Abby.    He had his doubts a bullet would do in this foe but even if it distracted him then it was worth it.   At the same time Abby shot her vectors forward to impale Celebech.

Kiya didn't seem at all bothered by Christopher reaction.   "Sorry if that frightened you doc, but we came here for answers to our questions, not for lectures.   So keep your responses to the point and the rambling to a minimum, could you?   Thanks."   Kiya proceeded to just stand by and wait as the others called for the mages of the group for assistance.

"Celebech dodges in matrix like fluidity, first the vectors and then using the tip of the spear to actual split the bullet, before twirling and preparing for another stab at Abby"

Ilyrana: That stupid

"Ilyrana suddenly draws one of her arrows and takes aim, firing. The arrow flies with ridiculous precision, runes all along it's large frame igniting before getting in between Celebech and Abby. Abby suddenly glows"

Ilyrana: Beth o Tû

"Abby suddenly feels herself increase in physical power, faster and stronger, agile and nimble. It's as if the speeds at which the elf lord is moving slow down to regular, so she can follow them and react"

"Elsa joins the group" (for Scott's benefit, girl with long, straight red hair wearing plate armor on her torso, shoulder guards, and a dress"

Elsa: You called Aaron?
Aaron: Where are the others?
Elsa: Not available lets just say that. By which I mean slugging at each other in the training room. I possibly suffice. What is it you need?
Aaron: Not me. Doc, says he needs magic advice

"Doctor pulls aside with a slight blush as Elsa goes to stare at the computer readings"

Elsa: Your program has gotten much better at translating these into something a mage can understand...the portal you identified was not mystical however. There is nothing out of the ordinary with it. At least not to a mage. Who is this?

Abby could certainly get use to this feeling of strength, but there was no time to take it all in as Celebech moved to attack. Abby quickly evaded the spear strike grabbing the pole part of in the process and yanking Celebech forward so he'd be close enough to punch in the face. Driving Celebech back a few steps Abby activated the spacial warp technique again, multiplying her vectors and sending them directly into Celebech.

"His code name is Crusader, though he appears to like going simply by Scott. He's the one that came out of the portal." Kiya spoke up to give Elsa the short and direct answer.

"Celebech produces Assail again and begins using both spears with amazing dexterity to actually stave off the vectors. Meanwhile, the last of the goblins summoned begin to fall"

Abby was quick to realize a frontal attack wasn't going to do it. She applied another quick enchanting while Celebech was busy to increase the amount of space warps and multiply her vectors even more. Celebech soon found vectors attacking him from all 4 sides (front, back, left, right) as well as from the top.

Scott was still lost in thought when the first of the mages entered the room. He was snapped out of his thoughts when Kiya introduced him to the mage, who introduced herself as Elsa. Scott turned to Elsa, a red head dressed in medieval-style garb, and shook her hand.
"Scott Young, nice to meet you."
He gently dropped her hand and felt Valor trying to communicate with him.
Elsa confirmed what we suspected, that the portal was not magical in origin.

Paying attention to one's surroundings is a great skill to have.
Scott chuckled a bit at the slight admonishment, realizing that the others probably thought that was strange.
"Sorry, I have a telepathic link with my friend Valor and we were conversing."
He turned to Elsa.
"You're right in saying that the portal was not magical, since magic is so rare in my dimension that we would have realized right away if it was."

Scott turned his attention to Dr. Hanks.
"Dr. Hanks, would you mind if Valor and I use your computer to try and pinpoint the source of the portal? I'm hardly an expert on the subject of interdimensional travel, but Valor could probably qualify for a Ph.D in the stuff. Your computer array is actually quite similar to the one used by the Kasha, who trained Valor in the subject. If the two of us work together, I bet we can answer this question before the day is out."
It was a bold request, he knew, but it seemed like the best approach at the moment.

Minerva blushed as she caught sight of a handsome man with Aaron and Tyler, before they vanished in the elevator. She wondered if he was a new recruit, she smiled thinking how nice it would have another new person to connect with. Kiya and Tesla were ok, but they were experienced " heroes " so it was a little intimidating to talk with them. Then again, she didnt know if this supposed new guy was new to crime fighting either.

With a sigh she continued her tour, making a note to read the book her mother got for her " the art of conversation ". Some time later she got the summons from Aaron and immediately headed for the science. Though she ended up getting lost along the way. In the end she used one of the spells her mother taught her, a location spell for finding other mages. She took off running in the direction it was pointing towards Elsa. Minerva burst through the door and promply tripped over her feet and fell flat on her stomache " Owie! oh im sorry! I got lost "

Scott's attention was suddenly drawn to the door as it opened. The same red-headed young woman he had passed in the hallway was suddenly in the room, although she had tripped and fallen on her way in. Scott made his way over to her, crouching down on his feet like a perching bird.
"Are you okay?"
Scott extended a hand to help her up and a friendly smile.
"My name's Scott Young, what's yours?"

The young woman had apparently been using a magic spell on her way in, as he could sense the residual magic energy. Being able to see her up close like this, he noticed that she had beautiful red-colored eyes, the only time he had thought of red eyes as being beautiful. She seemed kind of young and inexperienced, and he wondered if she was new in The Avengers. Scott's attitude was friendly and laid-back, a natural disposition that had been coming back to him in the four years following the end of the Grymwar Invasion.

Emmet over with Katy what would be needed to be done to put away Godric once again. As conversations continued Katy seen her opening she was looking for. "Hey Emmet, Sandra. Would you guys mind if I spoke privately with Tanesha for a minute. I feel I need to tell her something, but it isn't for everybody ears to hear."

Sandra smiled giving Tani a playful nudge with her elbow, a "hey this is your shot" type of signal referring back to what they talked about earlier with trying to talk Katy into a 4-Way. "Of course, it's fine by me. I'll keep out of you girls business, no worries about that."

Minerva looked up at the person offering a hand to her, the same man she'd seen before. Blushing, she took the offered hand and rose to her feet " Tthank you, I'm Minerva Mercury, it's nice to meet you Scott " she smiled shy, not realizing how handsome he was.
