Space...the final frontier

The world of Marvel encompasses not only the heroism of those on Earth, but an entire intergalactic amalgam of heroes and planets, and villains as well.
While the First Hunter War great devastated the entire galaxies of Andromeda, Milky Way, the Greater Magellanic Cloud, and the Shi'ar Galaxy (which are the primary theaters for the stories told of the old days), reconstruction was possible and quick thanks in part to the efforts of the Shadow X-Men, lead by Milo Ventro.

However, this applies only to Earth. The other galactic species fought off the Hunters far more effectively, and their reconstruction was much faster and far more effective. However, a recent war called the Galaxy War, between the Kree empire and the Shi'ar Empirium, devastated the various societies around the galaxy, while the Skrulls preemptive assault on Earth prior to that left them weak.

The recent state of affairs in the galaxy are many. The Kree empire has been devastated by the war and the Shi'ar's use of the M'kraan crystal cost them plenty. However, with the help of their banished leader Son-Aris and the Inhumans, who have returned from exodus on Earth (some remained with princess Poll-Aris) to help the Kree. Son-Aris has not taken a direct leadership position as King, instead forming a council with the blue skinned elite of the Kree, who are lead by Gareth, a much more level headed disciple of the previous Kree leader Orla.

The Shi'ar, meanwhile, have learned their lesson about messing with their sacred crystal. The Phoenix, Sandra Fuller, has forgiven their transgression, in large part thanks to Empress Cereza's effort to bridge that gap, although not necessarily with Earth, but rather with just Sandra. The Emperium thus remains the most powerful force in the Galaxy. Ganiorgi Pallza betrayal has caused some schism within the Empirium, but Cereza is currently attempting to find balance by reinstitution an old order at the request of Milo Ventro, which was whipped out by the Hunters.

Meanwhile, the Skrull have formed a powerful alliance with Earth's SWORD, which functions essentially as a representative of the entire planet in intergalactic affairs. A huge contributer to this is the Skrull High Commander Velr'k Truk. The Queen for now seems tolerant of the humans, and Velr'k seems them has honorable warriors after being handed so many defeats, and particularly after their display in the Galaxy War

Humans are the final of the major societies. SWORD has created a massive complex called the Orbital Defense Platforms, about 300, and operate from their HQ at Cairo Station. Meanwhile, they have also used the constant alien invasions, as well as the help of Aaron Stark and Milo Ventro to upgrade their technology and create a small but able fleet. This fleet fought at the Galaxy War, and managed to survive without a single casualty. Members of the crews are called "The First Wave" by many, as they are the first humans to have thought in a large scale galactic conflict without relying on superpowers, making them unique to even the old guard from before the Hunters.

Of note, are also the warring nations of the Phalanx and the Technarchy. The Phalanx have made appearances at the Galaxy War allied with the Kree, but the Technarchy quickly destroyed this colony. However others exist. As for the Technarchy, thanks to effort from the hero Warlock, they have become a far more peaceful race.
The Zen-Lavians also made appearances, and are lead currently by Monel, who seems to have a deep rooted hatred of humans and constantly aligns himself against them in conflicts.

Also of note, is the reformation of the Nova Corps. The Worldmind has reconstructed Xandar and chose Micheal as the new Nova Prime. The Corps are officially operating again once more, but the Xandarians are mostly extinct, and instead the world of Xandar serves as merely a base and an important trading route with the Andromeda galaxy.

Finally, it is important to mention the Hunters themselves. The cause of one of the greatest genocides the Universe has seen, they are a powerful hivemind race composed of beings from all around the galaxy, and function as a defense system for the Universe, without qualms in what they destroy. Once lead by the Will of the Universe itself, and a physical manifestation called only the "Leader", Milo has usurped control and uses them as his personal fighting force in large scale conflicts. Some Hunters are known to work on their own.

Same as HU, except try to keep it OFF EARTH. That's the only rule really. Plots are welcomed, can run parallel, whatever. It's a big fuckin Galaxy
You can introduce new species and new worlds at leisure, whatever you feel like. I covered the major ones in the earlier post, but if a RP original gets important enough, I'll add them as well.

Story so far

A bounty hunter. Bartholomew Rohan, stumbled onto a conspiracy that threatens to shake the entire Shi'ar Empirium to a standstill and stumble the universe into a new war.
Ganiorgi Pallza has unleashed a plan, and successfully took over the Shi'ar Empirium using the true heir to its throne as his proxy. With Kor Galen, the heir to the Gladiator name, and the powerful Vulcan Project, a clone of Gabriel Summers keeping resistance at bay, he has thus set off for other plans...to open the negative zone and unleash the Annihilation Wave, the army of Anihillus

Meanwhile, the Nova Force has returned to active duty! They captured a dangerous criminal named Volero. What will their actions be when they find out about Gan's plan?

Bart heads for the Kree for support, with a Predator on his tail

Meanwhile, on a distant planet, Hei, Mao and Huang, along with Mickey and Jack, have been plunged into a strange gladiator like society. There Mickey meets a member of the Banner family

*Skid was not one to defy orders, which meant he would see Cereza succeed no matter the risks.*

There were plenty of scum he could get tricks from, he’d been manipulating his body far more then his son ever had. He learned he could adapt alien physiology to his own, duplicating entirely different DNA. It interested him reminded him of a character from a popular cartoon series, so not only was mutant DNA being added, but exter-terrestial, soon he’d be far from human, in ways his son had never been able to become.”

Vinlo: I guess the apple did fall far from the tree, he’s stuck with mutant DNA, and I’m getting entire alien DNA, Volero, how would you feel about me snopping around your head.

Shield: This is an advanced weapon, Gan’s helped the Imperial Guard get with his new rule, if there’s one thing I like about his rule it’s the weapon advancements, one shot, I can control the size of the blast with a mere flip of the gauge, top notch can wipe out small cities, only the top agents like me and Kor got them, even those two fuckers joined Muzo and Gandalf. Now then care to explain why you’ve turned against the royal family?

Cereza: You're...the new Imperial guard recruit. You still wonder? Because Ganiorgi is an insane sociopath. He wants to destroy the entire universe just for kicks, for some self entitled wish for things to make sense to him or something. I used to think I understood him...but I think now I never did. “He took out a capsule, and pressed it, light emerged from it, and from it emerged four crates full of the weapons Gan had got for the Guard.”

Shield: So your on equal footing with the Imperial Guard. He’s done a good job rooting out “loyalists” to you, and spreading propaganda. Many are starting to believe you really tried to eliminate the Royal Family so that you could rule them, I for one believe that Gan is in fact a madman, I spoke to one of the newest members of the guards Muzo who helped put together Gan’s reign, told me he did it for the money only, for a challenge, and he’s regretful, he helped fetch the weapons, I think he was being honest, and think your resistance could get help from someone who from what I’ve heard fought on near equal footing with Kor. Veel: It seems SWORD and someone with the signal "Buster Machine" are fighting off a Shi'ar border break. We're close to Chandilar on the Milky Way side."
