“Zach pressed play on the remote, and Milo talked about how Tess was dead, and he’d used the BROOD power to take over her corpse and Terracorp at the same time, while others talked about the experiments, Milo intervened saying they should let Terracorp keep running to see what information they can find from their experiments that could possibly help them enhance their powers back to the levels before Mother, with Oliver saying the clones might be the key with the power Cassandra can harness, with Zach then pausing the video Nick just staring.”

Zach: Tess Summers has been dead, three days after the BROOD were defeated, they run Terracorp now, the higher ups of the team, and instead of shutting it down, and doing everything in their power to save the clones, they believe you guys are key to fixing some problem you have nothing to do with

Zach: Are you that blinded by your faith to the team Nick, if their letting experiments continue that means on the rest of your clones, the rest of your family!

“Nick just stopped having nothing to say, he felt defeated, he felt betrayed.”

"Tesla got in contact with Tanya, after some back and forth a couple clones appeared on Genosha. Tanya herself didn't come, but for a task like this it wasn't needed."

Tesla: These two are clones of the original goddess, they should be able to provide you with more then enough power. With how powerful I heard these things are, only one should do with ease. But seems to be Asgard's favorite motto, if it's worth doing, it's worth over doing.

Roger: First day on the job and already in the presence of a goddess..must be amazing to be a god, not have to worry about aging, all that power, right?

“Roger wondered if the clones were sentient or Tanya just sent them to get the job done either way I t was time, with speed, and power warped to the United States, and all over the country monitors were dissembled and within the hour the job was completed on various other continents. So much had happened today all the monitors had been destroyed.”

Greg: Very interesting….and here I thought Milo was a goody goody, so the stories about his true nature aren’t fictional. I agree the time for these regular idiots ruling is over, I think we should support him if we win..if we’re in charge we can literally do anything no more business in the shadows, worrying about cops, or monitors or sentinels or MRD imagine a world where we are in control son.

“Zach smiled, and as quickly as they got there they were back on Genosha with Nick frowning, he didn’t want to believe Zach, all these powers these days that could manipulate people, and he knew Cassandra could hear his thoughts.”

Nick: I know what your thinking, but...I Can’t just jump..the world thinks we murdered a billion people because of Tess, taking over Terra-corp could be easier then just going to war with them especially since the world hates us, please don’t act based on what Zach said, I’m going to figure this out, and find out who’s side to take…I promise.

Troy: Yes it would be great in deed. I just wonder if Milo would stick to this, he has pretended to be a bad guy in the past just to see though his plans of the "greater good".

Greg: And what exactly is the “greater good”, Milo’s not a god anymore, that’s not to say I ever thought he was a god, in the literal sense I mean, the wave produced by that Mother figure made us even weaker, look at the past six months the BROOD, HYDRA’s attack, imagine if us our race had our full powers back, those invasions would have been easily stopped. Perhaps Milo’s finally seen that humanity will stop at nothing to kill or control us, you’re his friend steer him in the right direction we can’t afford him to have a change of heart, if he does we’re history the government will make it so we won’t even be remembered in fifth grade history books.

Clint: It’s not just a war, there’s an organization, an organization that’s been studying the staggering growth of superhuman abilities for the past 40 years, half independent half government funded, over the past 10 years it noticed how much power jumped up, but in the past two years it’s become more stabilized, recruiting people from all walks of life, and the best part it’s not run by any one Government, it’s co-operating with all of them with one common goal preventing our extinction at the hands of people with abilities.
Ricky: Another fucking group? These kinds of groups all got wiped out one way or another whether there 50 or even a thousand years old Eastwood, get the fuck over it, we’re the dinosaurs, and the SXM, Milo, Phoenix, their the meteor, a whole fuckin ton of meteors, and I say we’re getting wiped out soon, so why not get fucked up everyday, and find something to fuck before the end of days.

Clint: See that Ricky you’re a god damn fighter, and more then that, we have a fucking chance. That being Mother, this is off the records in her final moments she released some sort of powerful attack, from what we know it’s effects stretched past our planet, past the milky way, possibly the universe, but it had an effect it dampened things, made some things ineffective some weaker including powers…an event like this occurred before M day, caused by a mutant with the power to tamper with the fabric of reality, it reduced the number of mutants from millions to 200. Sure it didn’t do shit to people who’s powers didn’t originate from mutants, but Mother’s energy did. That means humanity has a fighting chance, if we can replicate a synergy of the effects of Mother, and the power that caused the original M day, we’d have the ultimate weapon against the superhuman populace, we’d be the superior species, we could bring order, peace.
Ricky: Or fucking die trying..do get the scale of shit you’re talking about. Reality, entities that can stretch energy signals across the fucking universe, we don’t even have fucking powers, look at Terra corp there damn power shots only last like 30 minutes and over half the people either died or have some crippling disability you think we can fucking harness enough power to win.

“Clint tossed a card onto Ricky’s dresser.”

“Clint then walked to the door slamming it behind him, while Ricky looked at the card and pondered Clint’s words, until he heard another door slamming indicating Clint had left his brother’s house. He tossed the card, and then knocked the lamp off his dresser.”

Ricky: I didn’t give up..I just realized there’s no point fighting.

“Ricky layed back in his bed putting his head against the pillow, and feeling his eyes water up, and letting tiredness over take him, and slowly as he began falling asleep he saw the familiar giant face of Tess, and realized another wave of nightmares was about to hit him.”

Dave: Amora’s back..and she’s pissed, she wants “her” daughter back, and she’s going to the authorities to get custody of Chloe, and. Well..I’m no saint either…but if the law takes her side instead of fearing you, that could mean sending MRD, Sentinels, and what not to our door to get her daughter back.

“Dave was pissed technically Chloe was Amora’s daughter, and despite them all being pretty bad parents, most would side with her over the lady who had rampage in D.C and was considered unstable by most of the world including several of her team mates, and after the Warp incident even Dave wasn’t that much better.”

The inky blackness of the night had spread across Detroit, the fires of justice burning across the city like a thousand night lights. Scott and Valor had ripped through the criminal element in Detroit with ease, smashing their operations and their faces one-by-one. The local fire department was tending to the flames, though they were finding it a bit hard to keep up with him. Thankfully, he had made sure to keep the damage he caused contained enough that no innocent person would suffer from it. When Scott had first begun his training with Alan and Chiang, their first lesson to him had been to learn discipline, strict emotional and physical control. Valor was an incredible force of destruction, and if he didn't control his power, he could kill thousands, if not millions.

This lesson had been important for him to learn not just because of his power, but because of his situation. As a New Blood at the Silhouette Institute, he had been ridiculed for the limited scope of his power, since he could only summon the right arm of Valor three times a day at that time. They even gave him a derisive nickname, Tin Can Man. Scott, normally a gregarious and outgoing person, had withdrawn into himself, nursing sorrow and anger. Alan and Chiang had helped him overcome these obstacles to grow stronger, and he defeated all of his naysayers one-by-one in honorable combat. By the time he was a Superlative, or top-ranked student, everybody liked and respected him as much for his personality as for his power.

The one person who had been by his side through it all was Valor. Though they were two different species and hailed from two very different worlds, Valor was the closest friend that he had ever had, not for the least of which was that they lived in the same body.
Valor, I'm so sorry that I shut you out of my life for so long. Please forgive me.
What is in the past no longer matters, only what we accomplish now.

Scott nodded and turned his attention to the warehouse. Every gang leader that they had interrogated, as well as every solo criminal, had told them that all street-level criminal activity came back to this place right on the waterfront. One creative criminal had called it the 'Wall Street of Crime', if the original wasn't criminal enough. Everything illegal apparently flowed in and out of this warehouse, supplying every criminal outfit in the city in one fell swoop.
If we shut this place down, we'll take a huge bite out of crime.
Indeed, so let's go in with a bang.

Scott bent his arm and raised his right fist in front of him. It began to shine a rainbow of colors before glowing bright as gold.
"Fist of Valor!!!"
Scott charged forward and slammed his fist against the warehouse wall, blowing it out completely and sending debris flying. The criminals on the first floor were caught completely off-guard and made for easy pickings. Scott charged up the steps, making quick work of the second floor before arriving on the third and final floor.

On the top floor, he saw a barren floor.
"Damn, were we too late?"
He then heard the sounds of guns being cocked, and realized that he was surrounded by men with machine guns in a balcony overlooking the room. A man in a suit came down in a chair supported by hydraulic wires, and he crossed his arms.
"So, you are the one who's been tearing apart my operation."

He pointed at Scott.
"Kill him!"
The guns began firing, and even though the rounds that they were using were heavier than before, maybe even armor-piercing, they made not even a dent in Valor's armor. Scott fired a Shining Fist of Valor Blast at the roof, which began to rain down rubble on his foes. This scattered his foe's henchmen and made them ineffective fighters.

The old man managed to steady himself, his chair still connected to part of the roof.
"It seems you are more persistent than I thought. I never thought that I'd have to resort to this."
He hopped down out of the chair, and a moment later, it crashed to the ground behind him. He began walking toward Scott with athletic grace that belied his hefty frame. As he stepped into the moonlight, he could see a wicked gleam in his enemy's eyes.

"I am Samuel Krueger, and I would very much like to know the name of my adversary."
"I am a Man of Valor, and that's all you need to know."
"Well, Mr. Valor, you will find that you are not the only one in Detroit with unique abilities."
The moon suddenly turned red, bathing them in crimson light. After this peculiar lunar phenomenon, Krueger began to change. His muscles bulged, his clothes tore, and his physical form began to take on a shape more animal than human.

"You're a...werewolf?"
Krueger completed his transformation and roared toward the sky, causing the ground to shake from the power. Scott found it hard to keep his balance, but he stayed upright. The transformed Krueger then fixed him with a glare, his eyes as bright and scarlet as the moon.
"Don't insult me, fool," he snarled in a beastly voice, "I have achieved power beyond that legendary creature. I am a Blood Wolf."

"A Blood Wolf?"
"Yes. I was born a mutant with superhuman strength, and used it to get my way in whatever I chose. When I became infected with the Werewolf Disease, my power began to change. My mutant DNA responds differently to the disease than a regular human, granting me abilities beyond their scope. In this form, my bloodlust is so great that it alters the heavens themselves, and while I am bathed in the light of the Blood Moon, I have power beyond your comprehension."

This is a different kind of foe then we've faced before. We'll have to be cautious.
Right.
Scott got into a fighting stance, but discovered that his foe had more tricks up his sleeve than expected. He smiled a beastly grin and then moved so quickly that he disappeared. From the right, Scott took a blow that sent him flying.

He never got a chance to hit the wall, as he was struck from many sides in the span of seconds. His foe not only had incredible strength, but speed exceeding anything that he had seen before. Scott laid there on his back, thankful that even this creature lacked the ability to penetrate his armor.
"What?! That armor resisted my onslaught?!!"
Scott laughed and fired a Shining Fist of Valor shot point-blank in his foe's face.

The Blood Wolf went flying into the air, landing hard on the ground ten feet away. Scott got to his feet, tired and feeling banged up, but still able to fight. The Blood Wolf got to his feet and roared in anger.
"You actually hurt me! Nobody's ever hurt me before!"
"Well, there's a first time for everything."

The Blood Wolf launched forward.
"DIE!!!"
He slashed his razor-sharp claws across the stomach of the Armor of Valor, which left scratch marks but did not penetrate. Scott gave him an uppercut for his trouble that rattled his jaw. The creature tried to sink his serrated teeth into Scott's shoulder, but Scott grabbed him by the throat and pushed him back.
"It's my turn now."

Scott launched into a relentless assault on his foe, kicking it in the ribs, punching it in the stomach and face, kneeing it in the stomach, and then closing with a vicious elbow to the nose. The Blood Wolf was staggering, unable to fight back.
"You put up a good fight, but it's over now."
Scott approached him and charged up more power, both of his hands glowing gold.
"Million Punches of Valor!"
True to his word, Scott launched one million punches directly into his foe, hitting him everywhere, with each punch containing all of the power of a single Fist of Valor strike.

Scott closed out the technique with a vicious punch to the face, sending his foe flying backward, rolling backwards before crashing into the wall. The Blood Wolf could no longer move, and simply sank to the ground. Once he was unconscious, the moon and Krueger returned to normal. Scott fell to his knees, panting hard as the Armor of Valor dissipated off of him.
We did it, Valor.
You fought with inspiration, and because of you, Detroit is safer than ever before.

Scott beamed, and he felt a warmth spread through his body that helped his ease his tired and aching muscles. He got up and began to leave the building. All he wanted now was to go home and get some sleep.

Sandra: I don't think we'll have sentinels and MRd.     The governments are hurting to much to poor untold riches into that.     What could happen is she signs on to SRD and gets a little pack to come after us, which could be trouble.

"Sandra was aware she didn't have the most stable track record, but she always put the children forward and did anything she could for them.    They took Chloe because they was afraid of the child being hurt.    Chloe had been with the family now long enough that Sandra considered the child her own."

Sandra: Seems to me we either give Chloe back, go hunt down Amora right now before she reaches MRD, or waits to see what kind of government mess that women gets us in.    All bad choices really, but I'm not to thrilled about the first or last.

"Sandra suggestion was going after Amora, but she fully realized Dave could have a problem with this.   The girl was his first love after all.   It was that or give up Chloe, which Sandra really didn't want to do.   But Dave was one half the child's birth parents.    In regards to David Sandra was the birth mother, Sandra had a strong say in what to do as the child was hers.   But with Chloe, it felt right that the decision be Dave's."

Scott had quickly made his way to the other side of the city, closing in on his quarry. As he jumped the last roof, he disengaged his right arm of Valor.
You're down to half of your formations, Scott. The Shining Fist and maintaining the Forbidden Tenth Fist took a pretty big toll on your stamina, so be careful. Try to avoid a fight with them.

Scott dropped to his belly and peeked over the roof. One of the mutants was sitting on a motorcycle, and the other was just standing around. They looked like they were from two opposite ends of a comic book, one wearing a costume and the other in plain-clothes. He crawled over to a drain pipe and slid down it. He decided that it might be best to approach these men and get information from them directly. He circled around the building so that he could approach them from the front.

Scott approached the pair, making sure that he could transform at a moment's notice if they suddenly turned violent.
"Hey, there. Welcome to Detroit."
He stopped not far from them, keeping a respectable distance.
"You're here about the Blood Moon, right? I can tell you anything that you need to know about it."

Terry was just looking around seeing what he could find, while Keeth was using his own mutant power something he rarely had a chance to use.

“Okay Terry..incoming news the power source I picked up, is coming in fast. It’s a strong one too, and it’s getting closer.”

Terry groaned as he’d made his way over to the side walk to sit down.” The way you talk about this guy makes you think he’s not friendly.”

“When you fight the supernatural on a regular basis and have a part time job with the SXM you tend to get weary of any powerful force coming your way, right now I’m debating on if I should summon fire, or hell fire.” Keeth began using his power to see Scott moving from building to building and just drew his gun. “He’ll be here shortly don’t open fire if he’s cleared out a good bit of crime chances are he’s friendly.”

“And if he’s not”

Keeth lifted the gun then lowered it. “Then we put him down.” Keeth decided to talk about something else. If the person they were looking for was on the way might as well make small talk , trading stories about Genosha and living at Amber’s house. It wasn’t long before they were being approached by the very person they wanted to speak too. Terry was about to speak but Keeth gave him a look that indicated he’d take control of the situation.

“Nice job cleaning it up..it’s a shame they gotta resort to using a school to help hold this town’s scum but it’s better than letting them roam the streets. The SXM’s thankful, but yeah I’ll cut the small talk. The whole moon turning red incident...it had us on pens and needles especially since it’s only been a few days since the month and a half the sun went dark. I just wanna know what the fuck caused it, and a little bit about yourself.” Keeth felt relieved this guy hadn’t come for a fight, meaning he didn’t have to be on the defensive.

Dave: What your brother’s saying is you want to go, I figure we need some time to just relax and get away from Genosha before Icy or James calls us in for another mission, and Cassandra of course you’re welcome to come too..I got enough money for all of us and if I didn’t we’d just sneak in.

I’m sending in Icy to get samples of all of Chipotle’s sauces try and keep the monster distracted, William, & Ezekiel can probably devise something, and Icy will join you as soon as he gets what we need.

“Filipe teleported to the scene quickly becoming mist and racing over to the smashed Mexican restaurant ignoring all the corpses, while people were running in panic, while Brooke reached down to pick up a bus full of people eating it, then grabbing a giant bill board ripping it in half and eating the billboard as well growing 20 additional feet while roaring.”

Scott chuckled. The one on the motorcycle seemed to have a power similar to Valor, and neither side could hide their true nature from each other.
"Thank you. It's a shame that the place I went to high school is being used for that now, but as you say, it is much better than them being allowed to roam free on the streets. There were a lot more of them than I was expecting."
The one on the motorcycle mentioned something called the 'SXM', which aroused his curiosity.

Scott could understand their curiosity.
"I have my own questions about why the sun went out for so long. During that time, Detroit became a breeding ground for the scum I just spent all day squashing. But the moon turning red...That was something different."
He looked first from the man on the motorcycle, than over to the costumed man.
"I would be happy to answer all of your questions, and in return, I would like for you to answer mine."

He turned around.
"However, I'm not convinced that it's safe to talk about this out in the open. Come back to my place and we'll talk there. I don't know who you guys are, but Valor told me that you gave off good vibes. He's never been wrong about that before, so I feel that I can trust you. Follow me."

“Why the sun went out  the internet and the media has plenty of answers, SXM and the rest of the heroes trying to take over the world, aliens, bunch of garbage.” Keeth reached in his pocket for a pack of cigs, but decided not to take any out. He didn’t know whether or not this guy minded if he smoked, and Filipe would kill him if he offended a potential recruit over a smoke.

I’m getting too damn soft, Ledge’s right. “Truth is it was a mutant a mutant named Jet Moller with the power to control darkness. He came into possession of some very ancient magic that let him become one with a concept of darkness, imagine that to be not a person but a concept luckily we managed to find a way to reverse the spell and get rid of him. “

“Yes…you helped too, and to answer your question, he’s…Current, and I’m Keeth. We’re both members of the SXML Shadow X Men League but you can just call it the league for short. And you’re definitely right about not making this a public conversation, so let’s go. I’d ask if you need a ride but you seem pretty fast already.” Keeth grinned he had no idea who this Valor individual was, but the man already said they could talk more at his place. Keeth put in the key and started up his motorcycle, and Terry walked over to him getting on the back.

Mitch just laughed as he licked the blunt again and completed rolling it. He was hanging out with another one of his friends, another post practice sesh. Mitch and his friend Leo, the former of Caucasian descent and the latter of Hispanic.

He went over to his kitchen table cracking open the can and dialing a number on his phone. He just grinned when she picked p.

“Hey..yeah…forreal..c’mon you knoooow my dad’s not home and you know what that means.”Mitch listened to her talking and just laughed.  After a few more minutes the line was off and Mitch went to the drawer to grab a condom, then went to the kitchen to grab a bottle.  “I’ll catch up in the gym tomorrow “ He grinned as he went back to the fridge for some cranberry and orange juice, the perfect mixers to get screwed.

As he was walking he felt a sudden pain in his chest and stumbled forward hitting the ground causing the orange juice carton to burst open, but the cranberry which was plastic stayed in tact.” FUCK! Damn it” Mitch got back up but suddenly felt nauseas and grabbed his stomach.” Fuck that she can drink by herself, I don’t need no liquor I’m too fucking high.” Mitch looked at the spilled contents on the floor and decided it could be cleaned at another time, but felt more pain and the nausea increasing causing him to rush to the bathroom.

“Caleb exited the car and got back in his Van, which pulled up from behind Neil’s,and the SUV moved forward, and Neil decided to follow wondering where this adventure would lead him.”

Scott chuckled.
"The Internet and the media always have an answer for everything. The question is, are they right answers? I wanted something more reliable than that to go on."
The costumed man was telling him about some off-the-wall stuff, but he would wait before getting details. The motorcycle man chimed in with a more solid answer.

"I guess what happened here isn't the first cosmic anomaly, then. I've known some powerful individuals in my time, but never one that could merge with an element like that."
The two then finally introduced themselves, with the costumed man calling himself Current, and the motorcycle man calling himself Keeth.
"I'm Scott Kearny."
They both claimed membership in an organization called the Shadow X-Men League.
"Well, I guess this is my lucky day, then."

Well, there ya go, Valor. We can get some valuable information off of these guys.
Indeed. Still, we should be cautious. We don't know everything we need to know about this 'Shadow X-Men League', and should keep a close eye on them until we do.

He turned back and grinned as Keeth started up the motorcycle.
"Just try to keep up."
He held his right arm out to the side and summoned the right arm of Valor before punching the ground to launch himself into the air and onto the rooftops. Back at Silhouette, Alan and Chiang had trained him to do this in order to combat airborne foes, who had an initial advantage over him. Later on, he learned that it could be applied to getting around faster. He raced along the rooftops as the two Shadow X-Men followed him.

Within ten minutes, they were at his home, with Scott arriving at the same time as the motorcycle.
"Not bad," he said while breathing heavily, "you've got some horsepower on that puppy."
He willed away the Valor arm and opened the door.
"About the window, I had a break-in. The punk that did it is now sitting in jail with the rest of his idiot friends."
Scott turned on the lights and motioned for Keeth and Current to take a seat at his kitchen table.

"I'll start by answering your first questions. Valor is the armor that I can cover myself in, and it's made from a living life form from the planet Kasha called a Voltari. The soul of Valor, my name for this Voltari, lives inside of me, and I can communicate with him telepathically. We truly fight as one, a weapon to protect Earth and all of its inhabitants."
He sat down at the table.
"As for the blood moon, that was the work of a mutant who calls himself Blood Wolf, but his real name is Samuel Krueger."
