Heroes Uprising Part 5

"Raina went to shake Filipe's hand and formed an energy bubble near Filipe's hand to make a photograph."

Raina: I just knew of your reputation for aggression I can't lie I was a bit excited for a conforntation with the legendary Ice Hands, and Emperor Fusion has all but decimated what's left of me...if your a fan of Dragon Ball Z...it's similar to MAria Trunks future there's nothing left for me there..I came here seeking hope...and vengeance...you see Emperor Fusion was not acting alone, there were higher powers at work pulling strings and I don't simply mean...Illiria...there's a vast evil here growing..a force of immense destruction that's been influencing people across the multi verse....and due to it's role it played in helping the "Emperor" ruin me..I seek to stop it.

"Raina didn't of course know what she was refereing to, at least completly but she had a feeling and she was on a mission."

Raina: I came here to deliver a message to make you aware, and to seek the help of the SXM to stop it, I'm seeking the mightiest, and intelligent warriors....Kano of Asgard, you, Jikokou Donu, The Phoenix, and even the bastard Fusion himself..divided we'll fail to..this force together we can win..but first we need to figure out what exactly it is, the magnititude of it's power and influence.

Tanesha wasnt sure how proceed forward with this, but hemming and hawing about it wasnt gonna solve anything " Troy, has a lot to do with certain things in my past and why I can tand by Sandra....He and I were together once, a long time ago when we were teenagers. I had it rough growing up, and running into him, being with him. It wasnt anything nice, not by a long shot, but I was able to let myself think I loved him.Things ended badly, naturally and I was alone, pregnant. I never told him about it, partly out of fear for what he would do to the baby.

Tanesha could feel tears beginning to form, but she blinked them away " I considered an abortion but on the day I went to get it, something convinced me to stop, I carried the baby to term and gave birth, a boy.....and then I gave him away. I wasnt fit to be a mother not mentally or financially, so I told myself that it was best. I know how it is to be so engulfed by your emotions that nothing can get to you but that one special someone. For me it was my little sister.....but I let her down and it eventually led to me being arrested and put to death, only for the original code:breaker leaders to snatch me up "

She pulled out a cloth and wiped away her tears, not wanting Sandra to know that she'd been crying " I'm sorry, I've never told anyone this, not even Sandra and Roberta know about this, I will tell them though, in time. But when Sandra mentioned that you used to be with him too, I dunno it just felt like you were someone I could talk about this with, oh and Sandra wants a fourway "

Minerva had gasped when it was first revealed that they were going to the home of Emmet, global idol, she'd been a fan of his for quite some time now and had all of his albums and always listened to them when she needed inspiration and strength, trying to take the message of unity and strength he sang of. The fan girl part of her was hoping she could maybe get an autograph. But that desire was immediately eclipsed the horrible sight.

Minerva had never seen something so horrible before and was fighting to keep her lunch down. She didnt want to think that Emmet would have done this, she'd read his fashion magazines and this wasnt his style.

" Well met Avengers "

Emmet appeared above them and floated down. Dressed fashionably as usual in a black tear shirt, blue jeans, and boots, complete with a dark red vest with designs sewn into it. He landed softly with a hand on his hip and frowned " I apologize for the current decorum, the indivisual who did this has gone through some lengths to make it so I can't remove them " he snapped his fingers and cloths appeared and wrapped around each of them, he was going to have to redesign whole area at this point.

" What has brought you all here " though given what he knew about the location of their base, he could easily assume without mind reading.

"Filipe sighs"

Filipe: Of those four people you mentioned, I only know where you can find Jokoku Dono

"Filipe said it with a bit of sadness"

Filipe: But if you need help, come with us. We'll do what we can.

"Aaron greets Emmet"

Aaron: Well met to you von Phoenix...seems he's got a very interesting decorum whoever did it.

"Pol-Aris and Tyler both give a cough before Aaron begins with his playboy philanthropist smugness, and Tyler states their business"

Tyler: Sorry to drop in without warning son, but we have a problem and we need Sandra's help. Earlier today there was a massive spike of psionic energy, the type that only a Phoenix or Goblin host can produce. Somewhere in New York City. Thanks to the help of this hero from another world

"He points to Scott"

Tyler: We figured out it's the Goblin force acting up. We think something may have happened to Cassandra.
Pol-Aris: Or she lost control again.
Aaron: Yeah...everything okay? We came in force because we knew if someone was messing with the Fullers again, even Sandra would need backup

Raina: Well I don't mean to interrupt your vacation, like I said I just came to stop by it's definently a pressing matter, but it's not of urgent matters. I really did want that autograph, the way things are going never know when it's your time to go, but I'll be on my way it seems we did already cause a scene earlier.

Filipe: You just dropped in and said something bad's coming our way. Don't expect me to just let you walk. Come on, if you're a fangirl, I'll introduce you to the rest of the team. Or what's left of us anyway. I'm sure we can help
Rachel: But...o-our day off!
Filipe: Rachel, world ending catastrophy
Rachel: B-but!

"Rachel just pouts and Filipe pets head, kiss on the forehead, before putting a hand on Raina's shoulder. The two turn into water molecules and are ported right in front of the X-Manor"

Filipe: Welcome to the Genoshan Mutant Institute. Come on, this way

"He motions her to follow"

"Raina does as expected and follows ."

Raina: So this is the infamous mansion? It was long since eradicated in my world..sadly..our own version of Omega died against the Emperor's forces.

Filipe: Sadly? That robot nearly killed a good number of my friends. His methods were ridiculous

"In the grounds of the manor after the gate, and inside, there's many students moving about, seemingly the school had been reopened with a lot of new enrollments. Filipe leads Raina into a common room, where he finds Isabel playing with a baby girl"

Filipe: Hey. Where's Yama?
"Isabel": Father had a meeting with Nate, yes he did.

"Isabel's attempts at talking cute to the baby in her emotionless tone would be cute if it wasn't so damn inept. Regardless, the young child seems to enjoy it well enough as Isabel uses gentle winds to levitate her up and down. Just then, Yamairo teleports in"

Yamairo: Filipe, I thought I gave you the day off. Oh? Who is this

"Yamairo extends a hand"

Yamairo: Hasaka Yamairo. Headmaster of the school. What can I do for you?

"Dave was sitting around on top of a shack. Sandra wanted a divorce, that was a fine. He felt the rage of Warp, but the nonchalantness of Sandra. He lost his wife, she meant everything, what mattered anymore? Milo had truly ruined his life, but he couldn't blame it all. He held up a bottle of water and chugged some. No more alcohol at least for now he wanted to stare the pain and suffering in his life straight and sober for once."

Dave: I have to overcome this..fuck her..fuck everyone..it's only me..

"Nate flew in seeing the new person and raised an eyebrow."

Nate: And who is this?
Raina: I'm Raina, Raina Shalom, from another universe, nice to meet you as well Mr. Hasaka.

"She took a bow towards the two SXM members."

Raina: I told Ice Hands he could continue his day off, I Was just presenting news of an emergencing evil force that might wipe out all life..everywhere...in not just this universe but the multiverse..but nothing that means you have to interrupt your vacation truly..I feel..bad

"Yamairo shakes her hand a bit awkwardly. For a bit all you can hear is Isabel's gentle breeze holding up Akemi"

Yamairo: Yes...anyway, you came to the right place. What more can you tell us about this? What sort of force? We need more data to investigate.
Filipe: She says it's related to Emperor Fusion

"Yamairo's face gets serious"

Yamairo: Filipe, we shut that reality out
Filipe: Don't look at me! She said it!

Raina: It was a force that influenced Emperor Fusion that's truly all I can tell you, you know. If I knew more I'd inform you.  I think the name that came to me was the Goblin..

" Captain America(Forgot his name firo) suddenly he vanishes and appears in a shack, and a glass cup of water appears next to him and Dave glares at him."

Dave: hello Cap, we need to talk.

Emmet shook his head " Cassandra Fuller is fine at the moment, this is indeed the work of a Goblin, but not her " he waved his hand, crafting an image of Godric " My twin brother Godric is the source of the psionic spike, as well as my new lawn ornaments. He is the avatar for the Goblin force as Sandra is the true avatar for the phoenix force. He took over my office building in New York, killed my employees and turned it into a casino of sorts "

An image of the building in question appeared " Until recently, i'd sealed Godric away, where he'd stayed for centuries. But do to the actions of a group of powerful mages known as the god slayers, he is once again free in the world. At the moment he is stationary in his pilfered property. But how long till he starts whatever action he has in mind, I cannot say. My brother has a very caprious nature "

Aaron: Oh. well that explains it
Chris: Actually mister Emmet see the real avatar i-
Aaron: Shut it. Okay, we'll handle this for you Emmet. And I wont even charge you...wait where's Tyler?

"Tyler was already shield in hand the second he had materialized, but he suddenly recognizes Dave, Warp of the X-Men"

Tyler: Dave...right? Why did you bring me here? Is everything okay?

"Tyler notices his clear depression and despite still being on guard, also shows concern, as a good commander would"

Tyler: You don't look that good.

Yamairo: Goblin...that wasn't what influenced Emperor Fusion. It was a pantheon of eldritch gods from outside reality itself, the Outer Gods. But Amber said they were all sealed. By sealing that reality off we had prevented them from emerging.
Filipe: Well, guess it's time we had a chat with miss Strange then.

Dave: Why would I be? I lost my wife, my family, I've got little to live for but I don't want to die. I have a hatred of humanity, burning hatred but as Emperor Fusion proved you guys won't let us kill them.

"Dave said Milo's name with extreme sarcasm and hatred then looked at him."

Dave: I've had my fare share of problems with the bottle, some might even go as far as to say I'm an alcoholic. I don't have the shakes long story short I don't want to die, and I have nothing to live for. Mi6 turned down my application to work again so I'm seeking work..I could use the money since robbing banks isn't as easy as it was back in the day, and I have experience? What do you say?

Raina: Oh I know of Illiria's influence, but the Goblin that I've heard of is a powerful entity with far more influence then we originally assumed..I could be wrong..but I felt it's influence in Ventro's actions.

Tyler: Are you...asking to join the Avengers Dave? Why don't you go to the X-Men? Yamairo wouldn't turn you down.

"Tyler sits down with Dave, pulling back his mask to talk face to face"

Tyler: I'm not saying no, although I'd have to check with Aaron first, but the SXM are your family. They'd help you, now more than ever son.

Filipe: Well...it is a nexus of psionic energy like the Phoenix. It MIGHT be that strong. I very much doubt it had anything to do with Ventro in the future
Yamairo: It didn't. Cassandra Fuller was a soldier under...under one of Fusion's main generals. That's how low she ranked.
Filipe: Cassandra isn't the Goblin. It's not like the Phoenix and Jean Grey, or even the Phoenix and Sandra. Regardless, we can at least check in on the kid. She's here right?
Yamairo: I'm not sure about her schedule for today, but she should be having a few classes today yes.

Abby walked over to Ilyrana and Fathae after the battle. "It appears I own you both a apology. Ilyrana I'm sorry I aided in taking the giant down, but it was endangering people. And I'm also sorry I let the sword get away."

"I'm so sorry to hear about your baby, I hope he found a good home. As for Troy it's no surprise that he walked away, honestly the Troy from those days I'm amazed he didn't burn you to death. He probably just kept you alive for se... wait, what?"

Tanesha's last comment caught Katy by surprise, sure she didn't hear what she thought she heard.

Sandra arrives near the group soon after. "Sorry for the delay guys, but it looks like Emmet had stepped in anyway." Sandra went through a quick greeting with the group and quickly caught up on the conversation. "Yes I to can confirm this was Godric. There was a time I had assumed Cass was the avatar of the Goblin, but for as strong as she is, Godric is far worse."

"Dave folded his arms and smirked."

Dave: Too many bad memories? I mean I didn't exactly side with Milo, but like I said I don't want to hang around with people that support my terrorist wife? I'm always the bad guy there,, I rather have a fresh start, I'm about to get my appearance changed, new code name, and I think I'd benefit from all the skills I can learn from the Avengers.

"Dave paused warping the water over to him and taking another sip."

Dave: You want something to drink? And they may claim to be family, but not to me anymore I need a break, anyway give Stark a word let me know.

"Dave waved his hand sending Tyler away, and looked around."

Raina: You know of a student who's a host to the Goblin? I've never heard of this Cassandra in my universe

Scott saw someone named Emmet appear, one of the hosts of the Phoenix. He was apparently some kind of musical performer, and had enough money to afford his own office building. The culprit responsible for the mass killing behind him was Emmet's twin brother Godric, the avatar of the Goblin Force. This was the man that he was supposed to defeat, the one who had tried to invade his dimension before being repulsed by Alan and Chiang. Emmet showed him the building where he was located, and what he looked like, which was exactly like Emmet, his twin brother.
"So, that is my enemy."

Scott's eyes grew hard and cold, the look of a man prepared to kill. It was true that the Goblin Force could not be utterly destroyed, but perhaps Godric could.
"I have what I need, thank you, Emmet."
He turned to head out of the mansion, prepared to go and face Godric and his crew. However, it was then that he noticed that Captain America was gone.
"What happened to Tyler?" he asked, looking around.

Emmet smiled politely " Thank you for the offer, but my brother is not someone that can be confronted so easily and not someone I would have others take on in my own stead " he looked over his shoulders to see the others gradually coming to the backyard " My group will be dealing with Godric when the opportunity arrises to do so. But since I can see simple words wont deter you, it would be more prudent to pull our resources together. I have more then enough information on Godric, the goblin force. His mages are more foreign to me, but I have my own mages that can provide information on them.

Jericho just nodded from behind the large book he was writing in and Riku shrugged from his spot of sitting on Noah's lap.

He turned to Scott, he sensed some power coming from him and great sense of justice and conviction. He intended to take Godric on himself, the end of that battle was obvious to him " Hmm, Tyler is it? He appears to have been teleported off by someone, hmm familiar to you Sandra. Dave "

Tanesha laughed softly " Yeah, she's really coming into this untapped side of her sexuality. She's interested in....interacting with you, me, and Roberta " She set the cloth down and sighed " A lots going on at the moment "

"Tyler appears back with the Avengers, who all give him a look"

Tyler: Everything's fine...carry on. I need a word later, friend of ours needs help Aaron

"Tyler gives Sandra a look. Unfortunately by now she likely knew. He did have a distaste for dealing with telepaths, but such was the way the wind blew"

"Aaron just brushes off the strangeness. If Cap says it was fine, it was fine"

Aaron: Well, if Cassandra is fine, then that's all I really wanted to check Sandra. You take care of yourself. We'll handle this little hassle for you, don't worry.

"He turns to Emmet, with a grin"

Aaron: Well, we don't exactly NEED your help, but hey, the more the merrier. What do you have?

"Aaron knew, and Emmet knew as well, that there was never any plans to go in alone. The second Emmet had mentioned this was personal, Aaron was going to force Emmet's hands into moving at his pace. Because Aaron wasn't about to let some cosmic maniac run a muck in New York City for any second longer than he had to. He wasn't like Emmet. He didn't need showmanship, he needed results...but showmanship was a good bonus"

"Ilyrana looks on, sadness clear on her face"

Ilyrana: I...may his soul find the Western Shores, that is all I can hope for.

"Fathae seems to be able to stand again"

Fathae: It is fine, Abigail. The sword is my responsibility, I shall recover it myse-

"Just then, the group realizes that they've got a few dozen armed Hellsing soldiers surrounding them. One and Cainhurst walk up to them."

Cainhurst: That'll be quite enough. Thank you for your help defending the Bridge. Now I'll have to ask miss Fathae to give me the sword she is carrying

"Fathae shoots him a look before letting the sword vanish, barely able to stay steady with it for support"

Fathae: I will not.
Cainhurst: I insist. That weapon is of Britain, and we are its defenders
Fathae: Nay, you are a modern entity created out of the Anglo-Norman kingdom. Even were you not, this sword is not for one that is not of Pendragon blood. My family has kept it safe for generations. I shall not see it given to you. If you wish to do battle for it, I am more than happy to give you battle.

"Red and Theo get between her and Cainhurst. Ilyrana is already readying another of her arrows"

Theo: Excuse me, but I'm afraid you have no jurisdiction over this girl. She's an American citizen
Cainhurst: Actually, according to what little records we have, she was born in a small village in the midlands, so she is in fact OUR business.
Red: Ain't matter where she was born chief. She's on our turf now. She's working with us. You're not getting anything.

"The situation had now changed into a jurisdiction dispute"

"On the other shore, Liz and Cal were surrounded by quite a few guards, who while not actively hostile like on the other shore, were still imposing. Liz shares a look with her field commander"

Liz: They're likely armed with anti vampire weaponry. And Cal wouldn't last too long against this many. Goddamn it.

Sandra already knew what Dave wanted, but not from Tyler instead from Dave himself. All this time she could access Dave's mind freely, Dave never thought to have James try to block her out. Sandra merely didn't have any reason to until a second ago. Regarding back to Aaron. "If you guys try to take Godric alone you will die. I've seen glimpse of what this guy can do, and it'll take all the resources we're got to hope to stand a chance."

Katy was silent for a second before responded. "Umm I guess I should be flattered? But I don't get it, Sandra and myself have been friends for years. She knows I'm not si-sexual so, why would she ask for me to get involved?"

This whole situation was becoming a mess. Abby wondered if Cainhurst had any other interests besides the sword. "Wait, is there some way we can work this out. Cainhurst, is there anything we can do for in trade for Ilyrana keeping the sword?"

Scott looked back as Emmet said he had planned to take down Godric himself. Obviously, he had not intended to do that fast enough to save his employees. He would have taken on Godric and everyone by himself if he had to, but he had to admit, right now that seemed reckless. Without the full power of Forbidden Tenth Valor, he was vulnerable to being killed by Godric. Sandra seemed to imply that it would take all of them together to face down Godric. That was a peculiar statement coming from someone with cosmic power, and seemed to imply that Godric and his Goblin Force was truly powerful beyond imagining.

Scott turned around and faced Emmet and Sandra, looking at one and then the other.
"I have unshakable faith in my own ability to defeat any evil, no matter how great. However, I must admit that this is the first time that I've fought a cosmic being that would actually kill me if it got the chance. I've never fought alongside others, but I will offer all of my power in this alliance. I want to take down the Goblin Force and make Godric pay for the lives he took."
Scott's mind also went back to the godslayer mages who had released Godric in the first place.

"Who are these godslayer mages, and why would they release your brother?"
Perhaps these godslayers were a couple of individuals he had seen with Godric. When he had a down moment, he would have to ask Empress Enjela about the invasion pending in his own world, and begin  trying to expand the power of the Forbidden Tenth. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Minerva and thought that he would like to spend more time with her. Learning more about how magic worked would probably be key to taking down his enemies. Scott took a place beside Aaron, signifying that he was willing to join an alliance with The Avengers and the Phoenix faction.

Aaron: Come on Sandra, you know me. I can take everyone in this courtyard out. Maybe not at the same time I suppose. Oh and not him

"Aaron points to Scott"

Aaron: I just met him.
Pol-Aris: Oh enough with the bragging and the talk! We move now. That swine has taken a base in the heart of one of the most populated areas on Earth. Unless you all value your people so little as to not fight, I do not see what the discussion here is. We go now
Tyler: Hate to validate the princess's outbursts...but she's right. Emmet, what is it about this guy that's so dangerous. He doesn't seem any tougher than Sandra or you. If your issue is the others, we can handle them. Easy enough.

"Cainhurst walks up"

Cainhurst: There is no solution. The girl will hand over Excalibu-

"Just then, Ilyrana fires an arrow to the other shore, landing barely a few feet from Cal and Liz. She speaks a word inaudibly in elven and before anyone, even the heroes, have time to react, they're teleported to the other side. Red takes the queue and quickly begins taking out Red Branch soldiers, his stone hand providing a good bludgeoning tool. Theo does the same, throw them in various directions, and Ilyrana knocks them out with her magic soul arrows. Once the area is clear, Ilyrana turns to Cal"

Ilyrana: We do not have much time. We must commender the vehicle they used to bring us here and leave as quickly as we can!

"The elf points to the armor van that was used to bring the crew here. Liz begins loading up her gear in"

Liz: C'mon then!

"The elf is right, Abby, Theo, Cal, load up. We're out of here ASAP." Cal goes over to the truck and gets in the drivers seat, he'd expected to have to hotwire the thing but amazingly the keys was left in it. Once the entire team was aboard Cal was quick to hit the gas and get away from the Red Branch as quick as possible.

"Come on, how many times have been through this song and dance? You idiots are on the fast track to starting a war within New York City!" Sandra shouted out, it seems she didn't approve of the Avengers just blowing off her and Emmet's warning. "Look the lives taken was bad, but you guys tick off Godric and all of New York if not much more will be history. Come now Aaron, your smarter then this. Besides like the Phoenix the host of the Goblin also cannot truly die, Godric will just come back if you even manage to put him down. Now I'm sure you have some kind of detainment device Aaron, and that may work for a while. But lets be real here, you can't keep the Goblin separated from it's host forever.

The best way to deal with Godric is to seal him up again like how Emmet had him before. But even then, Emmet has said using the exact same technique won't work. I mean really, we're talking about a entity that damn near consumed the Phoenix itself according to marvel lore. Look Emmet and Godric have gone to war before, this was before our time. I've had a history lesson on that last battle, and it's something I'd rather not see repeated.

I realize this is probably beyond hypercritical coming from me, but we really should plan our moves carefully and go at this guy with a tactical full proof plan, instead of charging in head strong."

Scott listened to both sides of the argument, finding something to agree with on both sides. He was always the first into battle back home, and fully-approved the plan to spring into action right then as advocated by Pol-Aris, Iron Man, and Captain America. However, Sandra was making complete sense in advising caution, given how powerful this Goblin Force was supposed to be. It seemed like their best bet was to seal Godric away again, and try to separate him from his power. Scott stepped to the side and put one hand toward Aaron and one hand toward Sandra.
"Look, I agree with both of you, but I think there's too much we don't know to just go charging in right now."

Scott looked at Sandra and Emmet again.
"I want to know everything possible about this Goblin Force and Godric. I've got enough fighting experience to know that the more knowledgeable fighter usually wins. If we're going to fight as a team we need tactics, because that's what's going to win this battle and save lives."
He turned to Aaron.
"I know that any Iron Man worth his salt would never pass up a chance to unleash a highly-effective gadget with a witty one-liner."

Scott turned to Tyler.
"Captain America would never jeopardize himself or anyone else without a solid plan, because that's just not what soldiers do."
Scott addressed each of The Avengers, advocating the message of highly-effective combat. When he reached Minerva, a caring expression crossed his face, different from his usual friendly manner.
"If your life is to be in danger, I want it to be endangered executing a plan that will work."
Scott turned and stood before Emmet once again.

"The great men that trained me to carry on their work wanted me to protect all that was good with my power. Everyone here is fighting for something good, and that makes me care about all of you. The best way we can defend the innocent is by coming up with a plan that will make full use of our resources, stop Godric, and minimize casualties. We will fight damn hard, but let's do it damn smart, too."
Scott hoped by this point that he had convinced the hotheads to put aside the fists for now so that they could be better used later.
"Avengers, Phoenix faction, let's get to work."

Scott sure had a way with words it seemed the entire group was content to listen and hear him out. "Well said, spoken like a true hero." In some ways Scott reminded Sandra of Yamairo with his sense of pride and justice. "Look Avengers I apologize if I offended any of you a moment ago. I just don't want you guys to run off and get killed, or start a war that'll end up getting millions of other people killed in the process. Take it from me, first hand experience, I know what running in headstrong against a enemy you don't fully understand will result in. I really do hate admitting this, but I've made that mistake far more often then I should have.

Emmet, Godric is your brother. I think it's time you disclose everything you know about him."
